It would be interesting if there was a path in GTA VI where you choose to have the protagonists stay together or break up, and then start working against each other.
I'm currently replaying GTA V and I feel like it's also watered down by being able to switch between three characters, it also means having to commit to side-missions with that character alone. In one of my Final Fantasy X playthroughs, I thought characters could share stat bonuses and abilities gained on the sphere grid, so I ended up giving most of them to Tidus. My brain subconsciously wants to just purchase everything with the guy I'm playing as most.
The three characters was one of the worst mechanic ever implemented in a GTA game imo, this has sacrificed story quality and character development to focus on three boring characters, the most interesting remain Trevor just bcs he's crazy funny. Adding onto that the switching between characters was CRAZY slow on old gen back in the days. Honestly I feel this feature is one of the reason they watered down some other features, this is not the only one of course, but they focused way too much on this idea of character switching imo, this is really not a feature that ppl asked or cared that much tbh. From the leaks (and the trailer) we got for GTA 6 it looks like there will be only Jason and Lucia, so the character switching will ofc remain, but having only 2 characters should be okay I think. Hope there will be no other playable characters or it will diluate the story even more !
@@K3rhos Oh yeah, it's basically a staple now for Assassin's Creed games to have two characters to choose from so it's generally fine in that regard. Given the two characters are so close to begin with, it'll probably be easier to get to know them and play as them when you need to. And yeah, agreed about Trevor. I've played through the game multiple times and I swear, in every playthrough I develop a better understanding of his motivations throughout the game. He still doesn't beat Niko Bellic though and the writing still isn't perfect, I feel like quite a few things just don't make sense. Like, why is Michael such a dick to Dave? He's the only reason he's able to enjoy the life he has.
@@someguy8951i also had fun replaying LCS just because how many submissions there are. Of course no assets there you can buy, but it's still very fun game for sure.
Older GTA games definitely had more stuff to do in them and more stuff to spend money on. Starting with GTA IV they really lowered the amount of side missions and similar stuff so when I replay GTA IV or V I just play all story missions and that's it. When I play III, Vice City or San Andreas, I always do them 100% just because of how fun that is for me. I definitely wish they did it similarly in GTA VI but sometimes tells me it's going to feel very similar to IV or V.
My problems with the GTA V businesses is that they only give busy work, instead of doing side missions to increase how much you can actually make (like Vice city did). If you don't do the busy work missions then you run the risk of not getting paid that week. The ROI is so insanely huge that there is no way that you will never actually make your money back (something like 300 real world days of being in game). People keep saying there's two types of businesses active and passive, except there is always the busy work to be done making it so there is no actual passive business (goes for online as well).
I feel like they could expand the asset system VCS had by adding a survival craft element to it. You'd basically buy a empty lot and then you can build buildings with modular assets. You can place decorations in them, as well as work benches for running your businesses. You'd hire people to process everything. The businesses could produce drugs, counterfeit money, etc, as well as stuff for the legit side of the business. I should add, these properties could be destructible. So if you attack a gangs property, or they can attack yours, things can get damaged. You could even use a bomb to decimate an enemy gang's business. The same mechanic could apply to safe houses too.
The main character could have a main house, where unique decorations appear as the game progresses. Meanwhile you can have small apartments to rest at, store vehicles. Give them unique little interiors :3 Either that... or Rockstar is just gonna make 1,000's of crazy cars for GTA VI: Online.... Honestly am not hold my breath for this game, I just hope for the bottom line, that it's fun :3
Honestly, when I first played vice city, I HATED how u had to do a few asset missions to progress, but in the longrun replaying it I kinda like it because it makes the game feel longer, a little more realistic in a way.
For me the annoying thing about the assets in the classic games is the fact that you have to keep on manually going to each one to collect the asset money.
3:25 I like to add there is another business that is a front in GTA VC and that is the print works, the missions for this business involve doing setup work for making counterfeit cash. Although you can't sell them though.
Assets would be vital in any game that has you building an empire as Vice City introduced assets to the series but what it didn't do was build on it meaning make it to where you can improve your properties overall value in stages like from tier 1 to however high possible, as far as assets, properties & businesses go that's the one thing I want to see for GTA 6 a major improvement over what we did in GTA V/online
There are actually 5 more assets in GTA San Andreas: the quarry, the truck company near Helena's farm and the delivery missions in all three main cities (one for a food mart in LS, one for a "souvenir shop" (probably drug traffic) in SF and a burger shot in LV)
I bet a lot of people had think GTA Vice City has been finished in the first half because missions stopped to show up in the map and the game never explain that you have to buy properties to continue
The time they take to develop GTA 6 is huge so i expect a feature where you can buy most houses in the game or atleast go inside of the interior and even rob them.
Ahhh the days of having to work hard to earn what you want on video games. It dies feel satisfying to finally get them but at the same time. It don't bother me if they don't return as I don't care about having a house now. Just place me in the town I'm at when I save the game and turn the game back on.
heres why they gotta bring assets back ! as a kid I thought my lil cousin how to become rich at the horses in the game... today he be investing billions ! San andreas teaches kid doing business can make em become dangerously rich
I feel like the way they did the assets in GTAV story mode was good. They give you special privileges along with passive money, and every once and a while they’ll give you a mission that you can choose to do or not, but if you don’t do it you won’t get money from that business when it’s time for them to pay you. The character specific ones even had unique missions catering towards their respective character. Franklin had stuff that was car related, Michael promoting his movies, and Trevor gun and drug smuggling. All Rockstar really needs to do is bring back buyable houses throughout the map
It would be interesting if there was a path in GTA VI where you choose to have the protagonists stay together or break up, and then start working against each other.
Got a feeling that's what's gonna happen (the break up part). Probably something along the lines of Catalina and Claude
coming back to this comment in 2025 remind me

Yeah, the older GTA's had much more to do and replayability compared to the later GTA entries.
San Andreas and Vice City Stories sure, but rest of the older gta titles not so much.

@@ChainikVlad True, very memorable.
wonder if 6 is really a drug trafficking story cuz they'll never get that kind of $$$ doing those corner store jobs
Wrong
not sure if the story will fit that kingpin's dream, however if gta online is testing grounds for vi then it sure might
i think lucia is someone important's daughter the leaks did have a "$$$ laundering" icon

I'm sure Rockstar will allow you exploit plot holes in Grand Dead Automption 3.5.

Yeah something similar to the crib customizations/modifications from Saints Row 2, but having this for assets businesses could be cool yep !
currently replaying gta vice city, this game is good

bruh if you get annoyed about that what else annoys you in gta??? the trafic?? the police???
@@antiimperialista Pretty sure having to shoot people to get money instead of them just giving it to him is his next biggest pet peeve
Made sense back in the day. It’s like going to go pick up your check. Nowadays, it would make sense to receive a direct deposit to your phone.
Gang war i wanne taken over the los santos gang again in gta 5 but no rockstar ruined me even online i cant do green on the map

What I hate most about GTA 5 is that you cant buy a house in storymode.
Every lack of missions for assets in GTA 5 is for sure there in GTA online. You earn your keep even to this day.
