    I love my R101. Used it by itself exclusively on guitar, didn't feel the need for the 57. Great mic!

    the r121 sounds a lot better to my ears than the r101, probably the best ribbon mic I've ever heard for electric guitar

    Hi would it be possible, perhaps I missed it, a shootout of these mics with the Marshall Superlead pictured in the background?

    I liked the 101 much better in this configuration

    What about proximity effect with ribbon mic?

    Why ads? Just bought a Ribbon mic from you guys 🤔🤗

      Are you seeing TH-cam ads in the video? We are not monetizing them so there shouldn't be any. We'll look into it. Congrats on your new ribbon mic!

      @@royerlabs it was a mixing course ad. TH-cam shows ads on free channels for some time now, I’ve been told. 😒 back to my wonderful new mic 🥳

    How did they get that Fuzz sound?

  • @jgabora

    All fizz and no grind? Something sounds off with that 800.

    The 101 is focused and real sounding - my preference! I'm buying one, thanx! The 121 is boomier.

  • @andrewt248
    @andrewt248 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    The 121 is the phantom powered version, right?

    • @andrewt248
      @andrewt248 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      andrewt248 Oops. I was thinking of the 122.

    So what tribe is the guy standing up a member of? I assume since he is doing the tribal thing with the gauges in his ears he must be a native or some African tribe?
    Great mic by the way!

    You place the 57 in a very suboptimal spot to work with the Royer and then slam the 57 for sound like crap? That's lame as hell. Hell that amps didn;t sound all that great either for that matter.

      +Pedro Costa How many guitar sounds have you "listened"?

      There's some weird gating in there that makes it sound really choppy, and I've always found Marshall amps to sound a bit like a cheese grater to the ears.

    • @JackMasonLive
      @JackMasonLive 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pedro, it might be the Fuzz Face sound you hear in there, supposing there is one. I 'm not huge fan myself either. But it's not that bad, common... lol

      My fucking God, Finn Demaco. I take it English is your first language, would you be this salty on your friends during Spanish lessons?
