@@OneStopCoopShop They do tend to thoroughly milk out their official licenses, as they should, so it's certainly possible. That being said, I'm not sure if I should rejoice at ANOTHER LCG bank account drain if it was to happen... 😂

Had to chuckle when you said that one can win by decking a player in a competitive game. In the UK decking someone means punching them (so hard they hit the "deck") I mean sure you'd win the game with a K.O. but lose friends lol Thanks Colin, well played.
I actually have one of every deck made and sleeved in thematic decks. Was hoping to play with a friend a few years back but life got in the way. Might try this out. It looks really cool.
Hey I just noticed that around 37:52, you play a Dagobah Grounds when you already played another Limited card that turn. Other than that, great video - I've never played this game but I love to see it played!
Neat play, Colin! I wonder if there are ways to make the game harder? I kinda felt you were having almost a cakewalk there. Unless you were more lucky than some other times you've played it?
I was lucky I think. 2 things, one was luck and 2 was the fact the ai did not handle high cost cards great. It slows it down. I should have done a different ai deck one with more lower cost units!
Love that there is a variant for single player that someone made.. Looks like alot of fun.. Havent played much Star Wars in quite a while.. Did buy some 'cheap' sets recently.. All the big boxes are sold out here though... :/

This was with all the expansions! So I'd say yes however I think the deck I chose for the AI was not great due to high cost cards. The AI wants to swarm you and it can't when it can't pay for its cards! At least that is how I felt here.
Very different games...Outer Rim is a thematic 1-4 player boardgame featuring a smaller subset of the star wars universe, revolving around attaining fame and ambitions amongst smugglers and bounty hunters in the outer rim. SW: LCG on the other hand is fundamentally a 2 player game (there are other modes introduced in expansions like 2v2 or 3 vs 1 story mode but are not the main mode of play) more centering around building card decks to duel light side vs dark side affiliations. (The theme encompasses almost all elements of the original star wars movies up to around the 2015ish I believe) LS and DS have different asymmetrical objectives in how they win the game though this game is similar to games like Magic: the gathering, etc in how you build a deck of cards to do battle with.
Not really it is a bit old but I think you can get a core set pretty easy on the second hand market. It is an unusual game I will say. The edge battles are what makes the game for me!

If I am not mistaken, that was the original plan for SW LCG, but with LOTR already filling that space, they decided to go the other way.
You are correct sadly, but you never know it could be revived. They currently have no star wars card game at ffg....

i played this as the rebels in the Hoth cycle set of cards and could never beat the AI Empire
Yeah im thinking this might be a bit swingy depending on the decks. I think the deck I chose had too many high cost cards and it slowed the AI down.
