I should probably get out of the house and talk to people instead of binging MostAmazingTopTen videos, but I've learned that the outdoors is mostly overrated anyway
I'm a hospice nurse, i don't fear the reaper. Sometimes feel this angel is standing behind me, crying along with me and giving me strength. Great list Rebecca, love me some Rebecca!
The Plague doctor reminds me of the Spy VS Spy characters in the MAD magazine comics. Both trying to kill each other. But the with the big hats, long noses, and black eyes.... hmmm... great vid Rebecca!!
Thought I saw the Grim Reaper many years ago. I was a kid (about 11 or 12) and lying in my bed in the early morning. I looked over toward my closet and saw, what looked like, the Grim Reaper. However, when the lights were on, I saw what those shadows really were. I was quite relieved.
I love your voice, Rebecca! Narration really suits you. Also, I tend to leave a like on most of these vids before I watch them, because I assume from experience that I will most likely enjoy anyhow.
I've seen it twice in my life. Once about 10 years ago while i was driving on a back country road late at night. Standing their starring at me. I started crying and quickly forgot about my encounter (probably blocked it out of my own head) second time was right after dinner a few years later. It was standing at the edge of my front yard. Instantly i felt what i had felt the first time and quickly forgot about. I felt all the guilt and pain i have ever done or caused to anyone in my life all at once (and i was not always the best kind of guy, infact i was one of the worst) hit me like a ton of bricks, i was curled in a ball on the floor sobbing. I rushed to my friends house and she stayed awake holding me all that night as i confessed all my sins. He changed my life for the better, i would be dead or in prison right now if it was not for my encounter with death. A friends mom told me a similar story she had had with him that changed her into a better person when she was younger as well.
It's not the Ghost-Ship man, it's Davy Jones whose the main thing. Also in a way yes but actually no. He was a ferryman to the souls who died, like he wasn't obviously there the moment when the one who died at the sea.
Once again, great video! As always Rebecca is stunning and does a wonderful job. Do a top ten of the most liked Most Amazing Top Ten videos so new comers to the channel will know where to start. Thanks for such great content, keep up the great work and keep it coming. Bye!
Where I live we have a story that says there exist multiple grim reapers. When a new graveyard is made, the first person turns who gets buried there becomes the local 'grim reaper'. It's him or her task to guide and protect the souls of the deceased. In some places, people were so scared that their dead family member would be stuck on earth as the grim reaper for ever that they they made sure the first body who got buried in a new graveyard would've been that of a dog. In other towns, people believe the role of the grim reaper is not for ever, but is passed on every year to next person who died first in the new year.
Personally, I believe that a grim reaper type figure exists but not in the traditional sense. I believe that he knows when we're all born and has a very specific death date for us all and he will come when the time is right.
Oh my gosh, I love this channel and this video! We gotta have a Pt. 2! Make THIS the new Top 10 Dumbest Tweets! (Btw, Hi, Rebecca, I love you and you're awesome! Keep up the amazing work!) (I also love Danny and Landon. You're all too awesome!)
I agree with you I appreciate death life not so much I get to experience pain it would be a honor to see death or anything from mythology of death such as Thanatos, or Odin
I heard the banshee scream at the age of five . Week later my great grandmother passed in her sleep. This all took place in canada . Quesnel B.c. by the cemetary on the road to be exact. I still remember the details. Im the only one that heard it. It sounded just like what you would expect. A chilling death scream that will haunt you for the rest of your days.
When I was 12 I was riding my bike around the driveway when I stopped to take a break, facing the road. I saw a bright figure with bone hands outstretched and wearing a hooded white cloak fly past. It had no legs that I could see and it just floated by quickly. I didn't know at the time but a man down the street (where the figure was headed) had died. Since then, I have a feeling that I saw Death. He didn't scare me and now years later I still think that rather than being frightening, he is comforting. To me he doesn't kill you, he just comes to you when you're dying and prepares you for the afterlife, guiding you there so you won't get lost.
the banshee isnt just in irish legend shes also in scot. it was either my great grandfather or my great great grandfather, i cant remember which, but one of them claimed to have heard a banshee screaming when his father died.
Thanatos, the Greek god of death was actually the *twin* of Hypnos, god of sleep. He was said to be very handsome and was basically an "angel" in the classic sense of wearing robes and having large, dark, bird-like wings. My brother saw the grim reaper just days before he went to strawberry reservoir in Utah. That trip cost two of his friends lives and nearly took my brother. Only thing that saved my brother was he was asleep in the back of the truck and had been on a mattress to lay on but he did lose his spleen and section six of his liver due to hitting a rock as he was flung from the back of the truck as it rolled. The engine went in and crushed the driver to death, his other friend, the passenger in the front of the truck had been ejected and later died after they found he was a vegetable.
