He was a Police Officer for 18yrs. We had 34yrs together, in fact we would have celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary had he not been murdered 5yrs ago. • @angeldougan9334
      @angeldougan9334 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      he refused to plead because everyone else who had plead had been convicted and executed. So yeah basically he knew he was going to be put to death whether he cooperated or not, so he chose to die like that so he could be the ONE person who was never actually convicted of witchcraft officially. According to the legend his ghost still wanders the area where he was laid to rest and supposedly if you have any form of interaction with him, that interaction decides your fate. If he tips his hat to you but does not speak you're safe, but if he actually speaks to you you will die soon

    • @Vox-Multis
      @Vox-Multis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@angeldougan9334 To my understanding, the reasoning was that they couldn't take his land if he wasn't convicted, so he refused to plead so he could leave something to his family - or something along those lines. The man was definitely a hero and a badass.

    11:44 It’s actually common to see lamb sculptures on the tombs of infants from the 19th and early 20th centuries. I think it represents the small, helpless innocence of the child and the parents’ hope that Jesus as the Shepherd would guide their little one to heaven.

    I was exploring a local cemetery in Rochester, NY and had lost my car and searched for it until nightfall, then got locked inside after the place closed but I knew of a secret entrance cut out of the fence in the back and walked home, then I came back the next day and scoped out the place again and still couldn't find it. After the 3rd day I gave up and figured it had possibly been found and towed so I went to the office and asked the Reverend if the was an abandoned car anywhere and he said he did and drove me right to it. Everything was still in the car but the battery was completely dead and had to flag someone down for a jump which was hard because nobody wanted to do it, but I finally found someone. My car was in the oldest part of the cemetery dating the deaths in the early 1800s and long forgotten.

    Referring to "Baby Monster". I read a credible explanation that the term "monster" was used when describing or referencing a child born with serious birth defects. It was not, at the time, considered a nasty or disrespectful term. It is possible that this child was abandoned or that the family withheld their name because of embarrassment or because of contemporary beliefs in curses, devil's spawn, and so on. The grave looks very much like someone tried to do the right thing by the child.

And like that the bullies scattered to the wind. But I also let them know that I was happy in life despite their unhappiness trying to leech mine. Bullies are people with small souls trying to convince themselves that they're better than that in all the wrong ways. Happiness is the best revenge for bullies, trust. BUT!
