I love the fine line the game walks between chill and spooky
That description of the salmon, “You have promises to keep, Blackmouth. And miles to swim before you sleep,” is a reference to a line from ‘Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening’ by Robert Frost: “… for we have promises to keep/And miles to go before we sleep.”
Ooooh I see!
@Lukael your the best captain I know, thanks for piloting us all on this journey
T'is my pleasure!
Really loving the atmosphere in this game!
Captain! Welcome to the ocean of fear and anxiety.
Glad to see you are enjoying this nice little gem of a Game. I wish u a lot of fun with it! Thanks for the great content Captain! :-)
And i just realised there is a little connection/reference to another Game at 52:03 ... a Book called "Getting over it with Mind and Body". That sounds like the Title of that funny "Rage-Game" - "Getting over it with Bennet Foddy" ,maybe the devs liked that game too? 🙂
Yeah it's definitely a reference to it lol
I can confirm that is top 50 captain accent at the beginning
You're being very generous LOL
8:03 yes, Disco Elysium and Dredge are also the only two games I know of to use the word Abyssopelagic (in the intro sequence in DE, and here as a fishing depth, like Shallow and Coastal etc)
Quite the coincidence!
i'm not sure how much you will like it but next you should play ancestors: the humankind odyssey
Glad you are enjoying this, and it's fine to do the fishing, you need to do quite a bit if you want to catch them all! This game rewards exploring, so if you are so inclined try to look around everywhere and see what you can find. Fish are fresh for a few hours, then stale and finally rotting until they turn into plain rot. Try to sell fish as quickly as possible to get the most money for them. Also that sailfish is valuable, and sharks are good money too. Thanks for sharing the fun!
That hat really is the perfect prop for this game, really enjoy you playing this :)
I think you would like this game called Kentucky route zero, it’s a very cool game
Looks interesting!
