The restaurant should definitely be reported to the relevant authorities. It is very extraordinary that so many people report symptoms of poisoning. as a former bartender in Germany i can tell you this "Mexikaner" is a normal shot in Germany. It is usually made with grain spirits, tomato juice, Tabaco, salt and pepper. Not everyone's favorite, but it has been done properly :D
When a restaurant have a big menu with a lot of different things, that's a red flag already, because probably a lot of things are already pre made and could be spoiled for being stored for a long time, also the food could be bad stored and there's potential for cross contamination, infestation (cockroaches, rats, etc) the worst is not what we can see but what we can't see.
I remember watching Peter all the way back in 2018 when he was doing the funny characters with wigs and his mom also involved…Peter really made some solid progress man❤️❤️

Looks like they need to cut down the menu and focus on preserving the food correctly. It doesn't matter if half you food is great while the other half is just poison because people will judge the judge that.
When a waiter says people are stupid here to cover their own behind, tells me the place is bad. Learn to take responsibility and fix things VS cheating yourself out of your own responsibilities and calling people stupid that got food poisoned because of you.
German here from the south: i think the Restaurant ran by indians with a worldwide menu with 10000 dishes is very common here. My small town also had one which didn't survive long. I once ate a standard pizza there, tasted very bland (you could recognize it was a cheap supermarket product). Thanks god I didn't have health problems after :'D
Yeah we have one of those too :D To be honest i really like the one we have and it gets pretty good reviews but understandably that's probably not the norm with such restaurants.
Yeah man same here, they sell cheap food that you can buy at the supermarket for prices that are unbelievable. I ordered 3 burgers last week just to try it our and the patties of 2 burgers were fuckin' burnt! I took one bite and spit it out because it tasted like charcoal, how can someone fuck this up so bad?
it's fucking scam to go to a restaurant to eat a cooked meal and get a supermarket product that they only warmed up. If I wanted to eat supermarket food I would buy it and warm it up myself, but we are supposedly paying for someones cooking skills and getting fake precooked garbage.
@@mulraf We have one of those too. They serve Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Indian Food, Thai Food, Salads and even various Schnitzel-variations. We order almost every second Sunday evening for our board-game-group and we tried almost everything from their menu. Obviously we are either very, very easy to satisfy, or they are really good, because we have only had a handful of dishes, that we didn't like. Most of the time the food was very good! Prices are mid-range. Not as cheap as with other home-delivery-restaurants, but not too expensive either. Ergo: you CAN manage to run this kind of restaurant on a relatively high quality level, if you're good and probably work really hard for it!

In Germany it’s always a bad sign if restaurants sell a wide variety of foods with different heritages. Here’s a good tip that’s maybe a bit controversial, but I don’t care. Look up the imprint of the restaurant, if the owners name isn’t either German, Turkish, Greek or Croatian, then better don’t go there.

Most people don't dare confront a waitress with their complaints, so they complain online afterwards. Restaurants need to be aware of this and just keep customers happy. If they're not satisfied, they won't give it a second chance.
Real restaurants are aware of this and will accept that people will be way more honest online when they can say what they really think in contrast to a face to face confrontation where people will generally mask their honesty to avoid upsetting the person. This waiter (who is probably on the owner side) is definitely not able to take responsibility for anything. He comes across as a textbook narcissist just based on this brief interaction.
I’m watching you for years. You should be on TV, netflix and other streaming platforms lol You should definitely get paid from them. Your channel is just extreme quality, too much fun. You deserve millions viewer for every one of your single videos. I hope you never stop making them
Some explanation on the drink called "Mexicana": It's a quite popular shot in bars of university towns. Because you can purchase it on low budget (often at around 1.50 to 2.00€) and get shattered. For the issue with the food poisoning we have an institution called "Gesundheitsamt". Guess Kingston will have a visit soon. However, it is Berlin anyway. An Berlin is always more special then the rest of Germany. Just to clarify that :D
But you need many many many Mexicanas once I looked up the Recipe because I wondered that a friend of mine who weighs like 50 and is drunk after 2 beer was completely normal after 4 shots in half an hour while the Tequila i drunk hit me hard. And apparantly one Mexican is like 1/4 of a tequila shot because (its 1 part tequila and 3 parts of non alcohol). So in fact its most of the times one or the cheapest shot but not cost effective, mostly you can find pfeffi for the same price which around double the amount of alcohol. But now when I think about it, buying shots with like 30-40% is the best out of the coast perspective. But mexicans are a lot more enjoyable then pure Vodka at least for me.

Don’t sleep on the ice. Ice machines, and ice bins in restaurants are the biggest harborer of unchecked bacterial growth, imo. Even the cleanest places I’ve worked had the ubiquitous pink slime growing in them somewhere. Plus, machines and ice bins do not get cleaned daily. Weekly, if you’re lucky. So many bars never empty and clean them properly. Plus, something about the fact that the pink goo can thrive in ice cold conditions makes it extra nasty.
I like their logo. If they would reduce the menu to one theme that matches the restaurant name and offer maybe 10 cocktails which they do well, this restaurant could probably thrive. Awesome video like always, thanks for sharing your experience 🫣 The last part - they probably have a hygiene issue?! In 40 years I have never had an issue after eating out in Germany. Restaurants are checked by the government. Maybe this place skipped the checks so far
They're all from India, where the health standards are FAR lower than most Western countries - As a result, when they prepare food they are likely not following proper health practices because that's how they operate and are used to in India. How they haven't been shut down by this point however, is a wonder.
Food poisoning no joke, I once ate a bad prawn cocktail baguette from a sandwich shop and caught Campylobacter. Was off sick for over a week and ever since I have had irritable bowel disease.
sounds like something may be lingering in your system still. Look into ways that cleanse and repairs your gut. You may have vomited too much as well and damaged something. Worth mentioning to a doctor. Vomiting is good but sometimes when ya do it too much it gets rid of protective layers in our body.
If u havent, try probiotics! I got really sick and had IBS symptoms. It took a few months of probiotics, but im mostly normal now lol. Have a good day!!
My fiance had Campylobacter a few years ago and even had to take antibiotics eventually as he was still having diarrhea after two weeks and had to go into the hospital for a few days when it became bloody (thankfully that was just because of the immense irritation). He had gut issues for several months after, probably also because the first AB he got was a broad-spectrum one, but eventually his gut recovered.
I had campylobacter about 7/8yrs ago (from a shop bought BBQ chicken wrap that had been left out of the fridge for too long by the time I ate it at work) and to this day, it is the worst pain I’ve been in. The illness lasted over 2weeks & I lost so much weight. The pain of the stomach cramps had me crying at the grown age of 27 (I have a high tolerance to pain and not many things in life cause me to cry) It felt like my insides were on fire, in a vice grip & were being twisted. I needed IV fluids and couldn’t eat. The fever, sweats too. It’s like having the flu and the 24hr sickness bug together on steroids for days on end. It sounds so dramatic now that I’m well and in good health but at the time, I seriously wanted to jump out of a very high window….. vs wake up another day and do it all again. And yep, it also messed up my tolerance for foods long term. I’m terrified of getting it again. I now sniff all my food, visually & physically scrutinise it and take a tiny nibble to determine it’s safe to eat 😂😂
And again, I can really recommend you the Jugendherberge Ostkreuz in Berlin its a cheap hotel for young people and traveling families. It has been renovated somewhen in the last 2 years and I have to say for the cheap price its almost luxorious. If youre already there, sniff some eduction and go to the museums on the Museumsinsel, they are worth it too with quite a lot of beautiful classical art. If youre a bit too happy, go to the jewish museum in Kreutzberg, it will catch you even if youre not a german.

The big menu would have been a straight giveaway. Also, that the waiter is accusing all customers of being stupid isn't a very good sign in general. I am planning to go to Berlin next year and I definately will avoid that place. Thanks for doing this show :)
There's a bunch of really nice restaurants on the same street. So perhaps just go find the Kingston to laugh at it, and visit one of the much nicer restaurants nearby :)
There's a really good place called Fatoush which is maybe 50 m down the road on the same street. They do excellent Syrian food. I ordered delivery food from there this evening :)

The funniest thing is when you sit down at an empty restaurant other people think it's ok and also sit down 😂
I'm wondering how many of the people that decided it was safe due to Vlad and Peter sitting there also got food poisoning that day 😂

The restaurant should definitely be reported to the relevant authorities. It is very extraordinary that so many people report symptoms of poisoning. In this case, it's the district Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Ordnungsamt, Fachbereich Veterinär- und Lebensmittelaufsicht). (They have a website.)

as an indian, I found it interesting because they were saying like customers are not my god in the reviews and the bangladeshi guy even saying people (customers) are stupid. in India we have this motto or phrase, "Atithi Devo bhabha" which means guests are god or god-like or god-send so treat them like one.

as a former bartender in Germany i can tell you this "Mexikaner" is a normal shot in Germany. It is usually made with grain spirits, tomato juice, Tabaco, salt and pepper. Not everyone's favorite, but it has been done properly :D
So it’s like a Bloody Mary. Doesn’t sound too bad.
Yeah but they can't leave out one of the key ingredients from the menu. Why would they list every ingredient except tomato juice?
@@vtogvblogYeah it just tastes like a stronger spicier bloody mary shot. I really like it but many don't.
We also have a Danish variation. A Polish shot is also similar.
How do you know if it has been done properly? Noone knows what happened in the kitchen and looks like there wasn't any Tabasco in it.
Did he really ask for 'thigh' coconut chicken? lol
the worst reviewed series is always the best of this channel, pls keep'em coming Peter !
I remember watching Peter all the way back in 2018 when he was doing the funny characters with wigs and his mom also involved…Peter really made some solid progress man❤️❤️
I'm surprised that the health department hasn't picked up on this restaurant already.

You’re so creative with the ads and your editing of the quotes on here. I love your personality Peter ! Very witty and funny 😂🥰 Sorry you got sick, I was worried when you finished that last “shot”
Unfortunately he says the truth. Berlin at night is a horror show.
@@TigerNationDE you have to know!
This may sound racist, but indians don't care about the least for a good service.
I swear your ad reads are just amazing! On par with TomSka I swear

Appreciate Vlad for always doing funny participation in the background😂

Hey do you have friends or you work in the organisation...like this do you know for sure that Kingston will be receiving a visit
+ mexikaner is usually with tomato sauce so it makes it obsolete to put it on the menue
@@sir2657 In Germany, with our Health system everyone gets a yearly visit. So I don't understand how this Restaurant survives here.. German's are with Health normally very strict.
If the Restaurant is owend by a Clan you can do nothing. Maybe its Just a Restaurant to Wash money. You never know in Berlin. And the clans and the police are good friends. They share a lot of informations
As a shy person you confronting the restaurant staff gives my anxiety lol
I like their logo. If they would reduce the menu to one theme that matches the restaurant name and offer maybe 10 cocktails which they do well, this restaurant could probably thrive. Awesome video like always, thanks for sharing your experience 🫣
The last part - they probably have a hygiene issue?!
Every time I'm heartbroken I watch these videos for some reason and they never fail to make me feel better.

Ive been food poisond once and it was drink, puke, shit repeat for about 24 hours lol
Honestly, we have authorities that should cover such misery. I would hope for you informing them as something like this needs further investigation.
