The fat mode got my imagination running wild as a child, can't stop thinking what different ways each weapon would look and perform after transforming.

I love how when you're fat the knife changes to a fork
this shows that the devs has really good attention to detail
A fork is deadlier than a knife. 1 stab = 4 holes.

Mummy - slow mobility,high agility,slow bombs
Zombie - slow mobility,slow agility,OP bombs,immune to physical damage(except bossfights and Zombie damage)
Fat - normal mobility and agility,double damage on weapons and bombs,but bigger target
Monkey - normal mobility and agility,can cling on walls,smaller target
Snowman - *becoming a free kill*
Gotta admit, becoming a zombie that spits projectile innards so hard that it detonates armored vehicles? Pretty fuckin’ hardcore.
If metal slug is made with unreal engine it would probably get R rated lol

being a mummy is pure torture
you can't melee attack
slow move speed
slow genade throw speed
don't Immune to bomb or any different attack trom foe
the only special about this is
less chance to be hit by bullet when sit and jump little higher
and have a chance to throw your own mummy head.

mummy : slow and tedious to play with,not much is going on with it aside from occasionally throwing your head as a grenade
fat mode : is a direct upgrade if you know how to position yourself so you don't get hit because of your FAT hitbox and slow movement speed.
also the death animation is still hilarious
zombie : immune to normal means of damage but you can still die to zombies
sacrifice mobility and any weapon you had by replacing your grenades with a powerful vomit laser that can delete everything in its path
i don't usually go out of my way to turn into a zombie in normal gameplay
but its still pretty neat nonetheless
monkey : monke
i find the slow movement speed on the ground kinda annoying since but replacing your pistol with an uzi is good on its own plus the ability
still I'd rather have an utan to fight with rather then becoming the utan myself
..

You know, I'd question the fat mode tbh. It doesn't increase your damage. Only increase the weapon AoEs.

Snowman/Snowwoman transformation is cute.
When the heroes turn into one, we see their trademark "marks of identification" are visible on their faces and heads and they have changed size as the snow magic did by transforming them into snowmen and snowwomen. All the heroes show their eyes as black dot circles and they keep blinking their eyes and some heroes eyes are just looking normal while some are looking angry. Most of them are bald while some still have their hair as trademarks. The males have carrots for noses while the females don't but Leona does. All of them keep their mouths closed except Fio who is with a wide open mouth looking shocked or surprised or feared.
*Marco* = normal black dot circle eyes with his *white headband on forehead*
*Eri* = angry black dot circle eyes with her *green bandana on head*
*Tarma* = normal black dot circle eyes with his *sunglasses*
*Fio* = normal black dot circle eyes with her *light brown baseball cap and her spectacles* and a wide mouth open
*Trevor* = normal black dot circle eyes with his *white hair*
*Nadia* = angry black dot circle eyes with her *red hair in pigtails*
*Ralf* = angry black dot circle eyes with his *red bandana on head*
*Clark* = normal black dot circle eyes with his *brown baseball cap and sunglasses*
*Leona* = angry black dot circle eyes with her *blue hair in a ponytail*
Always love the snowman transformation. I remember not being care about the timer above that will make your character dead in countdown to 0, instead I was playing with the snow Yeti that will transform you into numb snowman and will hit you with a bone to slay you. Love Fio-snowman and Eri-snowman. Eri-snowman seems mad at all times which is funny but Fio-snowman seems happy which is cute❤.
Attractive TH-cam channel brings added nostalgia Plus it's a great way of playing the game to enjoy and deserves to be subscribed to by many people
My favorite transformation is zombie, powerful vomit laser to destroy boss easily like monoeye and big john

I feel like Fat Mode is a buff for every of your fire power, but a nerf to your speed. Heavy Machine Gun and Laser Gun have wider range, Rocket Launcher pursues enemies, Shotgun and Fireball have further range, and lastly Duck Shot becomes bigger. Enemy Chaser is still more or less the same, but Regular Bullet got its speed nerfed.
Iron Lizard in fat mode: The iron bullets are not lizard.

My fav transformation is the zombification transformation,cuz it basically allowed the player to not die after getting hit & not to mention the Zombie Blood Bomb

Metal slug 2 and Metal slug X are childhood after school and school holidays, to me personally when Metal slug 3 came out it was the end of the real Neo Geo era, I'm talking about the real SNK, King of Fighters 2000 also. After this era arcade gaming changed, especially Snk games

Metal Slug, the only series where getting fat actually helps and gives special perks. Like they literally promote obesity by having the weapons do more damage when fat.
Also kind of funny considering how according to the lore, Nadia joined the army purely to lose weight, so her getting fatter is the purest form of comedic comedy.

In ms4 if you finished as zombie instead of having a rope to get in the chopper they arrive with a cage to transport and cure you
Even if you're normal they do the same to inflitrate the ship in the next mission
I played all the parts but for me the first part is the best

Strangely enough, the Monkey Transformation is always all upside - the Stages with the enemies that cause said TF are each designed to bring out the Monkey Form's full potential, even going so far as to make situations where the Monkey can just hang in one spot and nothing can shoot it!

I mostly play Metal Slug 3 because of Mission 2. It was my favorite. Too bad most of these were removed in Metal Slug 6. I truly wanted to see Ralf and Clark fat and becoming a zombie. the only thing strange in Metal Slug 4 is that Marco and Trevor switch voices when being a zombie
