    Hi Seb, a few quick notes from my own experiences.
    RE: motherboard, I would recommend staying away from B450. It's not a very good chipset, it'll struggle with higher RAM speeds, it won't have good resale value, and most B450-based boards I've worked with aren't the greatest quality overall.
    The main thing you want to look for in a board is a decent VRM with a big ol' heatsink. I had a Gigabyte B450M DS3H paired with a 3900X and it was only getting 11KH/s and it would crash a few times a day even with a fan pointed directly at the VRM heatsink. After a few weeks of trying to fix it I finally gave up and switched to an MSI B550-A Pro-which is not a particularly great board, but it has a good VRM with a solid heatsink. Now that same 3900X is steady at ~14KH/s and never crashes.
    RE: RAM, I've found with RandomX that memory speed and timings matter the most when you're already pushing the CPU as hard as it can go, i.e. way outside the efficiency sweet spot. Once you've undervolted and tuned PBO (specifically PPT)-or determined the best fixed voltage and frequency-the difference between e.g. a kit of 3733 CL14 and a kit of 2933 CL18 is pretty marginal. I actually have a kit of B-die running at 1V (XMP disabled) with the aforementioned 3900X for optimal power efficiency.
    That being said, if you plan to do profit-switching with Monero Ocean or what have you, I think it probably makes sense to get a decent dual-channel (and ideally dual-rank) kit that runs at 3200 CL14 or 3600 CL16 or thereabouts. Then you can run 1:1:1 MCLK:FCLK:UCLK and it'll be great for any algorithm now or in the future. And again B550/X570 are more stable at 3600+ MT/s.
    RE: CPU, I've been seeing the Ryzen 9 7900 (non-X) for about $330 and at that price it's starting to become pretty attractive. The 7900 is essentially a 7900X that comes in ECO mode out of the box, and it includes a stock cooler. So if you can get a cheap AM5 board and 32GB kit of DDR5 it won't cost much more than a new 5900X rig. However AM4 still wins on value once you start considering used gear...

      Hi, I have 4 CPU rigs consisting of 3xRyzen 9 3900 with 16GBRam 3200Mhz CL16 installed on a B450 , the fourth RIG is a Ryzen 5 3900 with 2x8GBRam Dual Channel installed on an X570.
      All four boards reach an average of 10KH with the CPU setting from Rabid Mining. The settings for RAM unfortunately cause crashes for me.
      Otherwise, I have to say that 3Boards run very stably at 53 degrees Celsius. Only the fourth was always at 63 degrees Celsius and often crashes.
      I would also be interested in how I can further increase the KH. Oh yes, I mine Monero with NiceHash. Greetings from Germany, Sebastian

    Dude, love the look with that GPU you threw on the rig behind you. What model card is that? Can't hurt to add it to your CPU mining build list either for Amazon affiliation. I'd have clicked on it just to see. It's a good look and might try to find it once you share which card it is! Thanks man I really wanted to find the coolest card I could to make it as awesome looking as possible for you guys since it's gonna be in the back of most of my videos. It's an MSI 3070 SUPRIM X, and if you want to support the channel with a small commission at no extra cost to you (I have to say that line, every time, lol), you can get it through this affiliate link: amzn.to/3PCbvOu but TBH you can probably find it cheaper used on eBay. Or if you wanna get a brand new card from Amazon for mining I'd probably rather look at the MSI SUPRIM X 4070 Ti: amzn.to/4390XK3 or 4090: amzn.to/3Xv1UuZ as they are both better for mining nowadays (although definitely more expensive...).

    @TheOnlyHurrycane ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I am not sure what motherboards you support the most, but I would recommend the MSI or AORUS motherboards instead of ASUS. I am a CPU miner, and I got a several rigs on CPU. The reason I would adress this is because ASUS motherboard just support RAM-sticks that are listed in their vendorlist. If you use, lets say, a memory stick from an unknown vendor, but have the same "settings" as those on the vendorlist, the ASUS motherboard will not boot-up when you have them in dual-slot or more. But it will boot up if you have it covered in one slot. ASUS are very strickt on this issue, to make sure you use the correct vendorlisted ram for their motherboard!

    Hey Seb! Long time subscriber and fan. I was on the live stream with you and RPM yesterday and you asked about throughput and getting videos out faster. I had no idea how long it takes to make a good video until I started doing it myself. Have you ever considered hiring someone to edit and put your footage together? That's what takes me the longest! Sometimes I spend 6 to 8 hours shooting and editing

    • @SebsFinTechChannel
      @SebsFinTechChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man! Yep I'm well aware of your channel I've watched quite a few of your videos. :D By the way I wanted to ask you, you mentioned the rejected shares on Herominers for your KS0 might have been due to using the wrong stratum. Did you try it with a different stratum? Did that fix it?
      And yeah content creating really does take a lot longer than what people might think... For me it's usually about a full day doing research or testing, then takes about 2-3 hours writing a script, about an hour to film (I use a teleprompter which really makes filming a lot quicker), then editing takes about 3 hours and thumbnail design varies between about 2-8 hours depending on how complicated my thumbnail idea is. Then add to that all the invisible work of running a youtube channel like coming up with video ideas, doing all the bookkeeping, emails back and forth with companies, being active in the community and social media, constantly improving your skills in terms of filming/editing/youtube SEO/design, the list goes on LOL. I'd say I work about 12 hours a day 6 days per week. I wouldn't trade it for the world though, best job I've ever had, even though I make less money than ever haha, but it's worth it.
      As for having someone doing the editing for me, that would be a great time save but looking into it prices seem to be around $200 per video which I can't afford.

    • @SebsFinTechChannel
      @SebsFinTechChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome! Yes you need a GPU but like you say it can be literally any old GPU, you just need something that is able to put out a video signal the first time you set up the rig as these AMD CPUs don't have any built in graphics. But after you set the rig up the first time, you can power it off, take the GPU out and then power the CPU rig up without any GPU in it. But any time you need to see what's going on on the screen for the CPU mining rig, you need to plug in a GPU first. Hope this helps :)

    Hey man, great video… I can see ATX form factor b450… it’s much cheaper
    “ASUS PRIME B450M-K II AMD B450 AM4 micro ATX motherboard” would it still at least get the job done?

    there are not enough information from no body really. Why do you choose the CPU you choose, is the number of cores, cache, Threads, no dont really explains this. All people say is Amd this series, amd that series but why ? there are similar or more cores amd CPU's cheaper or better performing than this Cpu's you keep telling about. But there must be a reason. Like why not a treadripper, or epyc or why only epyc 7742 ,7763,9354 like hashrate.no says. Why these priticular CPUs? would love to do dual set up of Epyc rig for CPU mining but the information is so limited.

      If all you're looking for is immediate profit then yeah. But lot's of people use mining strategically to build crypto portfolios at a discount.

      @@SebsFinTechChannel Maybe you are right. But I won't be investing in any hardware before the earnings season starts. I think the hardware guys are making a fool of us. They defrauded us very heavily during the pandemic process. People are still waiting for the days when they will get a return on their investment. Especially etherium miners were definitely heavily affected by this process. And for some reason, any youtube miners do not talking about this situation...
