- There's a simplicity to the Nissan Sentra's naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine and CVT. This simplicity gets you some decent fuel economy on the highway!

50 miles of cruising range, amazing!
_this car is really efficient, I like small cars cause of their efficiency_
Cruising at 72 mph at only 1,800 rpm? Wow, the CVT sure has a very high "final gear" ratio. No wonder it is so fuel-efficient.
i would assume not having a turbo to spool helps it too no?
I love my 2024 SR!!!
Fuel economy is great below 75. Anything faster and it drops off quick lol. But comfy and ergonomic for my 6’2 self.
Charlie I was impressed by this mpg number until I saw what the Corolla Hybrid could do.
When I had my 2013 Sentra SV I was averaging 37-38 mpg on highway only driving.
How come other brands like Toyota, Honda and Hyundai can achieve this mpgs only in hybrid.
I usually get around 45-47mpg in my Corolla LE (2024). Must be partly due to the steel wheels!👍
Yup because I have the fully loaded 2024 Corolla XLE and I only average 40-41 mpg highway. I’m sure it’s because mine has the bigger wheels and is more loaded so heavier. Kinda wish I would of gone with the hybrid but I drive a lot cross country and rack up miles very fast and my brother that works at Toyota told me that the vast majority of Toyota hybrid batteries go bad between 150,000 miles and 180,000 miles and are very very expensive to replace
I have a 2024 Civic EX-L (has the turbocharged 1.5 ltr) and two weeks ago went on a 300 mile road trip and averaged 47.7 mpg. Earlier this summer I did 1300 miles of driving on vacation and got 42.2 mpg. Happy with both figures.
Please can you try and get your hands on a civic hatch/sedan hybrid. I need to see is it really worth 34k for that thing
Absolutely, that one is high up for me as well
Hows the handling on this car ?
Expected somewhere around 45 mpg. Underpowered compared to other competition that got the same mpg or higher.
Can you do a Mazda 3 please
We've got this one, and then we also did a non-turbo hatch AWD th-cam.com/video/NkIb7NkwHj0/w-d-xo.html
@@DailyMotor I don’t know how I missed those lol.. thank you!!!!
2022 Civic hatchback manual and Integra manual got 43.9mpg with 180-200hp, being bigger and heavier. And the 2022 Civic sedan CVT got 43.7mpg.
23 Jetta got 50 mpg
@@TheUnreadableUser In his tests Jetta 1.4TSI got 49mpg but the average speed was 68mph and had a lot of draft))) and the newer 1.5TSI got 49mpg but the average speed was only 65mph. And both of them have less hp than Civic/Integra and also small 17" wheels with 205mm width.
@@Eugen-E I think the 1.5TSI got 52MPG.
@@Spikejou Car computer shows the correct number because the pump never fills the tank at the same level therefore you cannot calculate correctly with the pump. So he got 49mpg on the computer and had an average speed of only 65mph, not 70.
God dam thats very impressive probably closer to 45 mpg at 60 mph
I'm sure at 60mph it get 50mpg. I get over 45mpg driving the 2.0 turbo altima at 60mph...
@@occckid123 I still would never own one but pretty impressive for the size and hp. My 1998 vw jetta tdi has 90 hp and its a diesel I can get 50 mpg
@infernoking7504 I can only get 50mpg on between 50-60mph. Diesel here in new york is just so much more money than regular fuel. So, the extra fuel economy is not worth it here.
@@occckid123 yeah new york is Terrible for a diesel anyways all idling in traffic will gum up intake.
@infernoking7504 I just had my car idling for the last 30 mins and hit multiple traffic accidents and garbage trucks and school busses so now my mileage is down to 39.6 as of right now on this thank with the vc turbo. It's still beating the epa right now even with all those negatives!the traffic was so bad new Yorkers are so entitled to drive up the on ramp and I have video proof of that lmfao.
Fake!
because you divide by a higher gallon it would get less mpg, but if you are divided by a low gallon , you get higher mpg, so this method is a failure.
