No doubt about Johnny V and his ability that goes without saying. He has modeled the Mike Smith path as he is approaching the end of his career. They ride fewer races and ride the Cadillacs. They don't want to risk injury this late in there careers. They both are elite riders and got it that way from what they have accomplished. There in demand when it comes to the Graded Stakes races.
Many of these top jockeys do not have a "home base" in which they develop rapport with top trainers. Instead they move around-- NY, Kentucky, Florida in the winter, etc. and cherry pick their mounts in the big races. In the good old days top jockeys like Jerry Bailey, Jacinto Vasquez, George Velasquez would be based out of NY, and Pincay, Shoemaker, Delahoussaye, McCarron would be dominant in California
The ortiz brothers are rule breakers on the racetrack when they go to other tracks they follow the rules. In Newyork stewards continue to let them ride recklessly putting other riders in harm's way.
I must say I agree with you wholeheartedly with the number one selection, Pratt is not the most dangerous Jackie on Turf that title goes to Javier Castellano the greatest North American turf jockey to ever live hands down, don't forget his 6 Travers win 4:174:194:194:204:21
Good list. Spot on.
Very nice. Huge fan of Juan Hernandez.

Johnny V. not on this list? That's a felony!

No Javier castellano 😒 Javier is top 5 in the world right now hands down, I think he’s #3 behind irad and flavian which I agree are the top 2
Where’s Mike Smith?

OK RACIST😂 IF YOU SAID SO...😅
William the ortiz brothers have been rule violators for a while NYRA wants that $$ bet on them thus allowing them to break rules !!!
Juan Hernández??? And Jhonny v
Irad Ortiz Jr el mejor.
They get away with most things. Luis Saez is my jockey he wins with more outsiders. Ortiz rides mostly chalks
Wr is manuel franco
I'm a little disappointed that Mike Smith wasn't listed. 😉
Flavian pulls up a lot of chalks if you check his record in California he loses with a lot of odds on horses in a 5 horse field
