How Good Is Kampfer? || Gundam Evolution Gameplay & Commentary

- It's time for one last shooting. The final season begins.
Gundam Evolution Season 7 has arrived and Kampfer has joined the fray!
I hope you like speed demons because Kampfer might just be the quickest suit in the game. With 3 dashes and a passive that refills your boost gauge when dealing damage with your shotgun, you're going to have a hard time ever catching this guy. In return for this speedy offensive Kampfer doesn't have much on the defensive side. Only 900 HP and a medium sized build means that Kampfer won't survive long if he stays at the center of the action. You'll have to get in and get your kills quick before the fight turns around.
If the close-range shotgun fights aren't working out in your favor Kampfer also has access to two bazookas. This second set of primary weapons is a bit weaker than Dom rockets but in return fires and reloads much faster. They can be very strong at keeping the enemy locked down at a choke point or just dealing with targets outside your shotguns effective range. The Sturm Faust ability also gives an extra bit of explosive damage that slows the enemy to make for easy targets or an easier escape.
So should you unlock Kampfer? Well at this point why not, but hopefully this video can guide you to a decision.

The new unit is great. We needed multi weapon units. Shotgun for close range. Rockets for mid range.
I wish they kept the game going until the end of the year instead of ending in November.

I like Kampfer because I can actually hit my shots with his mobility. I’m not the most skilled player, which is why I don’t play Zaku 2 ranged, so I feel like kampfer is a bit of that substitute for that quick hit and run type of unit.
I really think they should have released Kampfer in between the 00s suits, hes so cool and we only get 1 month for him...man...
so as a dom trooper main through and through,
kampfer is like a better "assault" suit. like the rockets both are decent in their own rights tho dom's takes the edge ever so slightly. kampfer lacks in the sheer support potential dom has but makes up for it with speed and options in fights. in terms of defence i'll most likely go dom trooper. in terms of attack, i'll pick between either kampfer or dom but most likely kampfer
I wish the game lasted longer in general but I really wanted to see another support unit they got like everything but that RIP
I'd love to try this game but apparently the devs don;t think Latin America is worthy of playing it, so fuck em.
shotgun + rocket launchers + 3 dashes seems like a lot of fun
Kampfer is one of my favorite units now, but like Zaku 2 Ranged, it's super hard to play on PS4 cause the terrible framerate lol The low to the ground dash it does is a nice reference to the OVA too.
I love the Kämpfer. His high mobility will be amazing in the hands of a pro. I wish he had his beam sabers as a 3rd cooldown against shields (not stun, just direct damage). I'm playing on the ps5, and it feels weird having a special button that does nothing.
You know that you can switch between the bazooka and shotgun alternately without reloading them and the bazooka deals more damage when hitting the body directly than when hitting the ground.

Oh nice. Hopefully it was one of the matches where I did well lol. Been having a lot of fun with Psycho Zaku and Prototype Stark Jegan lately.

I think paired with a Dom and or Unicorn for armor this thing will be a team killer. I look forward to testing it out
Yeah one of its biggest weaknesses is getting in with its lower health. Armor could help that a lot.
I literally loaded up the game and bought the Kampfer right away cause I’ve been waiting for this unit since season 2

I was excited they finally added it. And so far haven't got to play it. It's autolocked immediately by people who load in a second sooner than me.
I hope I get to play Kampfer enough to get decent with it before the game closes down! I don't load the fastest so usually other people lock it in before I get the chance to
Yeah one of the hardest parts of getting gameplay footage was just getting to select him lol. I'm thinking it won't be as bad in a few days though.

Yeah it's still shutting down at the end of November but I guess since they were already almost finished with these units they decided to release them anyways.

Its sad we dont get enough time with the Kampfer, IMO its like the Zaku 2R but has more offense and range options where as Zaku 2R is shorter range but more survivable
Yeah I do think they have a lot of similarities. Z2R is probably more consistent thanks to the smoke giving great survivability but Kampfer can get faster kills and deal more AoE damage potentially.
