- In this episode, I BURNED down the Odyssey FL250 ATV! I have some fun, no work just lots of fun, we have a little smoke show with a good old fashion burnout followed by a good long rip in the woods and streets, I finish up with a summary of the build and encourage you all to get a project and get dirty.

GOOD! A riding video!
Yeah, I thought I would mix it up a bit, and have a little fun. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Another great video!! I pulled the cylinder off of my fl250, got it measured and ordered a piston kit. Now it’s at the machine shop getting bored. It ran but the compression was really low. So I can’t wait to get it put back together and have fun with it again!!
Your going to love it. I have my 350x out getting bored now too. They really are the ultimate gokart.
Outstanding! 1 day ill have one. Love how happy it makes you.
Thanks Tom.
Really enjoying the oddy videos. Keep them coming bro. Good job
Thank you Sir
Badass!! Great job!!
Thanks!! I enjoy your post on Insta. Sometimes you need to cut loose and act the fool. lol
Looks like a lot of fun.
I always wanted to drive one, I had to wait 30 years and build my own. lol there a blast
Great video !!
Thank you sir
GREAT VIDEO, P.S. THANKS AGAIN BOB.✌✌✌
Thanks Robert, that was a lot of fun. I appreciate it.
Drop pilot jet down 1 size and raise needle clip 1 slot and try it
I will keep that in mind, right now the plug looks good, but I think there's more to be had, too. thanks
Hell yea brother
Rock on!
I have a Honda Odyssey 250 2-stroke in real nice condition for sale and the Dallas Texas area $3000
I had bought a 84 250 Odyssey struggling to find axle
Look up Karl Allen on FB or email him at Karltech@yahoo.com
He has plenty of parts, tell him Mrc_builds sent you.
Awesome work! Can’t wait for more videos of this thing in the future.
Man that thing looks fast! And fun! I'm glad your enjoying yourself.👍
Its quick, I think with some more tuning, it can be quicker! Lol
So Awesome to see you ripping this unit around. We recently revived our 83' which needed a bit more work than we thought. We had to ditch the old gas tank (rust and other debris we couldn't clear) for a newer Aluminum barrel type tank and hang it from the top of the seat belt cross member. Now we're gravity feed to the carb and a few other mods that seem to work fine. The short of it, ours is ripping around now as well. What a fun unit and look forward to ripping every time we take it on our trips to the Dunes. Anyway Great content and Nice collection of old Honda Gas tanks you have. My current project is an 06 Yamaha YFZ 450. Fun aren't they!?!?
Hey JB, yep, I really enjoy these old things. Honda seems to have it figured out, there easy to work on and pretty straight forward. Had I not been able to save my gas tank I would have done the same as you, my test ride was with a gatorade bottle wire tied to the cage. lol Thank you for watching and subscribing to the channel.
I hope you're OK. Been catching hell up here but it takes more than 40ft limbs falling on my truck and shed, 100,000 of us without power for days, and an emergency at the ranch causing me to bail on one job to run the ranch, for me to go silent. Just wondering.
Lol, I miss one weeks video, and there sending out a search party. Lol. I'm good, just busy, I lost 2 night footage, had to reshoot a lot for continuity. Dont frets this sunday video is almost complete. Parts are still slow. Waiting on an axle bearing now. This weeks video is the completion to the holy moly 200es big red. Lol I do appreciate the concern. But I'm doing alright.
@@mrcbuilds Glad you're alright . I'll be hearing from Harvey tonight about a meeting at a diner Sunday morning, looking forward to it. Almost forgot to mention the foot of heavy wet snow that triggered off so much destruction. I had 2 bucket trucks, a 4wd truck and 5 guys helping to save my powerline and almost 3 hours to do it. I saved my truck before they got here and they sure needed my parking spot under the tree. Hopefully the vid on the 200es will inspire Harvey to finish mine cause one of these days I'll have time to ride!
@@atvseatexchange2176 what does he do with all those projects after he gets them running?
@@mrcbuilds Admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery! I've been telling him to finish a project and stop fishing for new projects. We just spoke about it again and will continue in person Sunday. Harvey's been getting things running and riding and then they sit. I'm working on a new approach for him to entertain and refocus his energies. I've graduated from the school of denial so I'll try my best to bring him around. The sight of him riding a wheeler sitting on a piece of carpet while I've got more seats on my front porch then there are days in a month drives me crazy!
First thing I noticed was the rear wheels and knew you swapped out the 130mm bolt pattern for the more common 110mm. It ran great, congratulations. I use the Mudthrowers tire and wheel application chart all the time to see what wheels might fit other makes and models. Then I go to the Parts unlimited catalog and compare aftermarket wheels for both machines and if they list the same wheel for both, as long as nothing's been tampered with, the wheels will interchange. Suzuki on a Yamaha, for example. Been scrounging for a while and have been lampooned for having bolt patterns in mm and inches on my bulletin board instead of the more popular swimsuit model of the month. Who do they come to when they need advice on wheels and tires? Keep up the great work!
I recently learned the 3x100 was the same for the atc70 and the fl250, so there are a few wheel choices. thanks for the information.
@@mrcbuilds It was the first generation, 3x100. A little Suzuki 125 and a little Yamaha three wheeler use that 3x100 also.
Awesome video! I can tell by the smile on your face that you really like this one. Looks like you had fun. P.s. loved the burn out too.
Thank you Pat, if fun to be a kid again, one of the many reasons I still play with these things. Thanks for watching
😊👍
Welcome, thanks for watching and subscribing
Is there a way I can email you I have some questions I would like answered and you, I think can answer them thank you
I'm on the facebook, if you have that.
@@mrcbuilds I don't have Facebook
Tell y'all a story of why that emergency brake is so important. When you are standing beside the cart starting it, if the fuel cable ever hangs open, the cart will leave you in a hurry! Ask me how I know. Lucky for me about 15 or 20 feet from the Odyssey was my friends steel trailer, it smashed it hard and tore up my front end and fiberglass tub. I got it all fixed, especially the carb cable, but get that emergency cable working! Mine worked fine, but it wasn't set. It is every time I get off it now!
You are correct this one is missing the brake shoe carrier, it has ran up my leg a few times. Lol
@@mrcbuilds When mine took off on me, it was hung wide open! I grabbed the roll cage and it drug me a few feet before I realized I wasn't gonna stop it! LOL!! Good luck this weekend! Hope to see a new track record!!
On that straight away seemed like she didnt want to open up maybe a bog?
I think there may be a little more left in her, I think your right, I'm going to adjust air/fuel and swap a new belt and retest. Thanks for watching. I pulled the plug and it looks good, but there is always room for an improvement,
Yes Sir she looks like a sweet ride
Ive heard theres an aftermarket exhaust from DG that wakes the FL250s up
Heat sheald is a good idea ill keep that in mind i did an engine rebuild on my buddies 1981 FL250 and ill suggest that to him
@@daryleduardo7055 Yes, I have heard DG makes a very good one for the fl250s
First
Ha Ha, yep you won! I appreciate the support.
I'm not sure of your experience with the clutch set up on them... same as a snowmobile but where you are they don't have snowmobiles.. or at least i think they dont, that pulley clutch system cost 30% of your power output (more if there dirty and corroded...) the driven (big) is easy to disassemble and scotch Brite and get working smoothly, make sure to mark both sheeves and the helix..... the drive (small) probably requires a puller to remove it from the tapered crank snout it makes a world of difference when they are clean and operating properly... rough sheeves will tear up a new belt too... hopefully I didn't miss a previous video outlining this process
@@tricycleguy2657 No Sir, no snowmobiles down here, lol. I will take a moment and clean the sheaves before I install the new belt, thanks for the heads up.
@@mrcbuilds usually the old belt will clean then but sometimes the pitting is too deep, keep at it brother
