Cause it was this video but in japanese. Either way, im happy english trailers are finally showing off the evokers! Best way to summon personas in my opinion
They were probably in debug mode for this or pulled Orpheus from the compendium, probably the former considering a recent clip showed Makoto with all his social stats at lvl 2 in September which is virtually impossible in the original game
An interesting thing to note if you compare Yukari's special summoning scene at 1:03 with the Japanese version BOTH her portrait and model's mouth sync differently with the Japanese and English version of her lines respectively, pretty cool!

In earlier persona titles, any shadow that get a knocked down gets right back up when dealt any attack. Now it looks like it's easier for the shadows to STAY knocked down when attacking others with multiple spell attacks

@@movies798 Eh in P5 only Joker got an anime cutscene for his awakening and every other PT got in-engine cutscenes. Same goes for the previous two games as well. Most of the animated cutscenes in the original are still going to be hand-drawn, its just that some of them like the MC awakening have been switched to in-engine because UE4 allows them to make cutscenes look much better than before with their proprietary engines

In terms of how it works lore wise, it's a way to make summoning more convenient. As the dark hour tires people out faster than usual. It's a tool to make persona summoning more efficient. It being graphic is needed as it evokes the feeling of near death, one of the main conditions for persona awakenings. This is made to simulate that feeling everytime they pull the trigger. It isn't a requirement to use to summon for the P3 cast, per se (only P4 and P5 methods made it a requirement based on the setting) but it's needed for the limitations set by the dark hour.
