The most accurate comment was that “mothers receive roses on Mother’s Day, and men get scolded on Father’s Day“. I have observed this for probably 20 years and this is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone openly comment on this widespread trend in today’s churches. In addition, focus on the family consistently and openly criticize men on a regular basis, and elevates women for their purity and godliness. This caused me to turn off focus on the family forever more

@@curveball9999 men have definitely been marginalized even within the church which is very frustrating. However there is a strong undercurrent of REAL men who are pushing back. The church is also generally silent to the topic of abortion. And they definitely don’t want to talk about the fact thousands of them take place every day but many people professing to be “Christians” and even worse the fathers have no say whatsoever and no legal ground to stand on to stop it from taking place. Even after marriage! Another thing that Church won’t talk about is the fact that abortion is one of the leading causes of a divorce. But again, take heart there are many pushing back, through legislation and education. God bless you whoever you are. ✝️

This isn’t true and contributes to the division. My husband totally ignored Mother’s Day for me multiple times. I threw parties for him and made tons of food for him and his friends on father’s day. Being an ahole isn’t gender specific.

Men and women in societies throughout time can manifest their sinfulness in similar ways to one another, but notably it isn't men who are warned in the Bible against vanity and showmanship the majority of times, and it isn't women being warned about physical dominance.
Many women also have observed what curveball9999 has observed, including the woman being interviewed here.

      By proxy, yes.
Who protects good and bad women against bad men? Good men right? It was good men who used to stand up for women's rights.
So, tell me why is it not good women's responsibility to see if something wrong is happening with good men? What do you think, men don't see that the so called good women don't wanna do anything when it is the good men who suffers?
You wanna know why good men cannot fight for themselves? It is because of the bad men and women who are in power. No one would listen to good men. The only hope is that if good women started calling this out, then atleast half of the bad men in power would be forced to listen. And that is how things will become proper again.

      It’s written clearly in the 1894 Marx /Engles communist maifesto( 1 8 9 4 )
It’s also written very clearly on page 15 of the 1971 London Gay Liberation Front manifesto. I’ve posted it before but TH-cam keep deleting my post.
It’s also part of the Ofsted and DFE, best practice awarded “Educate and celebrate” organisation manifesto in which the founder Ellie Barnes openly declares that her main aim is to “smash heteronormativity.”
The Marx Engles & GLF position clearly advocates that children must be educated in communes, by “like minded people.” The Marx Engles statement justifies it by saying it is necessary to “protect children from the harmful influences of their parents!”

This really hits home. I spent many years planting trees all over BC Canada and the most hostile towns were the younger ones. These towns sprang up in the early 1900's up to the 1950's or so and they were violent places. The young men working there were also from [mostly] small towns where industry was the only thing to do. You grow up with a step father or a father who is too tired to play [and teach] and the boys who end up in the same industries, Logging, mining and all the spin offs' are angry. Alcoholism and violence become a weekend hobby, or worse. The family has been dismantled.

This church met in an old warehouse complete with a rock band, jumbo boards, strobe lights, and smoke machines. I say this still, even though I had a father who was not present and ran from myself and my mother before I was born. I was raped by several men, yet I can still say these things honoring men. These are just facts we need to agree on. Men should be the head of the household. My husband and I got that backwards due to my extreme lack of understanding, sadly we are divorcing mainly because of this so don’t be like me and learn that lesson too late. I beg you to turn to Jesus, read your Bible and take it very seriously. If I can, as a woman who’s been through hell with certain men say these things about men in general so can you all. If that's the case, then why do women were more ambitious, braver, and hit their spouse more today? biologically speaking, you can say that testosterone level dropping, but you sure men now have lower testosterone than women? Isn't that mean women is now men and vise versa?
I respect your opinion, but study like this sounds fishy and fearmongering. It also doesn't make much sense. Similar to the one where the study says men feel more guilt compares to women when break up. Most men don't feel that way as the study says, but the next generation completely believe that and become self fulfilling prophecy.
I believe it was more because of societal issue, where men now feel the need to follow the rule provided by collective consciousness created since 50 years ago or so. Men must consult to women, give their money to them, sacrifice themselves willingly, and so on and so fort, while this rule were non existent to women's world. We also keep hearing "men don't cry" as a stigma. Men in order to not seen as anti social, they decided to go to the opposite extreme, become more emotional and vulnerable just because of fear of being judge by others of being strong.

It does seem that women consider themselves to have little reason to listen to a man if they don't need his resources. That women respect men to the extent that men can provide resources. If you're providing less than she is providing then she doesn't respect you enough to value the rest of what you might offer. That's the absurdity of the modern dynamic.

Yeah that's why I avoid any kind of relationship with modern women because if you make more then your seen as "oppressive" and seen as someone to take advantage of and if you don't make more your seen as weak and not worthy plus making more makes you more vulnerable if a separation occurs because you end up losing everything in family court.

One concept stands out to me from listening to this and reading the comments. Money! I am old enough to remember that even in the church men’s work was seen as more valuable because the family income was coming from the men instead of the stay at home moms. It was no longer a combined effort as it was before the Industrial Revolution. I am not saying it is wrong to make money. We just have to guard what it does to us.

This is a long but very important so please bear with me here:
The reason why there's a wide spread hatred for M and an exaggerated deification of W is because the state/ruling class has propagated those ideas through their schools and media throughout all of western society. Why? Because M have always been a threat to the state and W have always been it's most blindly eager supporter. This is because men have a natural sense and desire for logic, Morality, Independence/self-sufficiency, Freedom and Unity. Because of these factors they are the ones who would most likely be vigilant and stand against and authoritarian control system (the state/government) in order to maintain theirs and everyone else's rights and freedoms. Which is why they are the ones who, throughout history, have started rebellions and civil wars against any type of ruling class/control system/government.
Meanwhile W are naturaly design to a) care mainly for their own physical well being/safety in the here and now, because by extension it would lead to the physical well being of their would be children and b) to have said needs provided by someone else since acquiring these things comes with their own risks to someones safety and well being. This however will naturally lead them to not think and care about the logic and Morality of how this is achieved as long as it is achived.
Normally both of these roles are ment to be filled first by the father and later the husband, aka the other complementary gndr. It is them who take the risk to acquire the resources necessary to live and are driven to care about abstract notions and principles like Logic and Morality that are necessary to guide them/help them achive this goals the best ways possible, and normally the women would trust and support their respective fathers and husbands in this endeavor.
However nowadays W, due to the propaganda/programming by the aforementioned state controlled schools and media, have substituted loving fathers and husband with the state/a ruling class that doesn't care about them and sees them as inferior beings to be control. They have been dupped into thinking that the (non existing) "safety net" that they think the state provides is more efficient, sustainable and trustworthy than having a male figure working and providing for them at a personal and communal level simply because the ruling class/state feels more efficient due to all the power and wealth they have accumulate without earning it (also the propaganda). Not to mention that all the ruling class/state asks in return is simple obedience and compliance (extreme submissiveness) without having to prove that it truly deserves it, and thus they ( the ruling class) allows W to run wild in their feelings and live without holding themselves to any standards and make decisions based on their whims and their egoic desires without fear of consequences because they believe the ruling class will protect them from said consequences of their actions.
Meanwhile a father and husband would hold them to a true logical and moral standard and expect them to give something in return like trust, chastity, respect/appreciation and self control. Things that would require them to use logic, consideration, empathy, understanding and appreciation of others actions and above all to set aside their self centered desires for what is beneficial to not just themselves but to others as well. And the current modern/conditioned W don't want that due to their egoic/narcissistic mindset that they got thanks to the pandering and above all the support and manipulation of the ruling class/state.
Sadly what they, current/"educated" W, don't realize is that this "support" will only last as long as it is useful for the sate. Once they've taken away all the rights and freedoms from men they will turn on their pawns (gynocentric W) and take away their rights and all the special privileges that they gave them since they will no longer be needed and put them in the same category that they helped the M be put inn. In other words the sate will make the W equal to men the only way they care to: without rigths and beneath them (the state) and under their control.

I love the “Christian men divorce “ distinction.
I often ask “What do you mean by Christian?”
A Christian is a follower and believer of Christ as depicted in the Bible!
Who understands that there is salvation in no other.
In America many non Christians are checking these survey boxes.
They are “constitution christians” that take dictation from their constitutional rights as an American. Christ becomes a mascot for their team.
Yet the Bible is an offense.
Also we have been living in soft non challenging times for the last 75 years.
    Every floated idea is considered.
    Every fool has a point.
Those who stand for truth are the enemy of easy thinkers.
    There are no absolutes.
    Every theory gets respect.
Therefore we have been mentally infiltrated.
The weak influence the strong with little resistance.

" *...someone who Loves God More than they Love You* "
In other words, someone from a group that doesn't exist any more. Your sentiment is very noble (I'm serious here, not trying to be funny), but there aren't many men who fit your description, and practically zero women who do.
Modern western women, on hearing things like "love, honor and obey your husband", react in screaming rage, the way (I imagine) that the demons in the New Testament stories reacted to Jesus, Peter and Paul. They have no problem with (and neither do most men) "love, cherish and protect your wife", but respecting men ... uh... that's "toxic masculinity".
The western world is in a state of open rebellion against God, and women are the rebel leaders. Men in "authority" (preachers, reverends, judges, politicians) are mostly cowardly quislings collaborating with the enemy. A troubled/confused young man approaching any of these male "leaders" for advice is more likely to get a pious finger-wagging lecture on how to be a good feminist than on how to be a decent God-fearing man.

The most tyrannical fathers were often in the rural settings while "Mary Barton" has beautiful portraits of fathers and grandfathers, sometimes single parents, taking care of the children while working in factory. Take Higgins, for ex., in "North and South".

If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. Neither worked outside the (home) farm, and everyone including kids worked together. I think of a mother working outside the home as doing her part as a help-mate, but she shouldn't have the weight and burden of providing, and there will be obvious times when a mother should be at home (she is the one giving birth!😅). My hat is off to all mothers and fathers who are responsible in their respective roles.

Why does she have to put words in God's mouth? He did not say that marriage was "why I created you." (Note her uncomfortable chuckle when she adds that phrase.)
If marriage is the purpose of life, why isn't there a command in the Mosaic Law saying to get married? It's supposedly the most important thing there is, yet it was left out of the Law entirely? It should be the first of the Ten Commandments by her logic.
The writer of Ecclesiastes said "the conclusion of the whole matter" of his analysis of life on earth is to "fear God and keep His commandments," which commandments do not include marriage.
Paul in 1 Corinthians 7 and Jesus at the end of Matthew 19:9-12 said that non-marriage for the Christian is perfectly acceptable, and even better for the kingdom of God for those who have been given the ability to restrain their lust.
If God therefore had commanded in the Old Testament that men marry, Jesus and Paul contradicted it.
She also says that all men have to do to correct society's anti-male, anti-family attitude is to change every aspect of society.
In that case, buckle up for more men to stay single. Men aren't omnipotent. Women, as more than half of adult society, have a lot of work to do along with us, but Nancy doesn't bring up any ways in which women are going wrong. Society and the legal code itself are against men. Getting married just earns them a divorce, poverty, and being robbed of their kids-all with society's blessing.
If Nancy Pearcey wants to change hearts and minds, she is going to have to get real.

Our church has strong multigenerational families but men are not respected in the church. When babies are dedicated, it’s the mother that comments or grandparents that pray - it should be the father that prays over his child publicly. Mother’s Day now includes all women. Father’s Day isn’t noticed. There is a Woman’s Time out once a week, but the pastor thinks a men’s bible study is not acceptable. They believe in feminism and women leading in church. Many single parents are there with their sons and we are so worried about what message they are getting. We wonder if we should leave, or try to lay down straight “sticks” so it shows up what sticks are crooked. Any advice out there?

Let the church decide by taking a stand against all that stuff; find men in the congregation who think the same as you, and confront the pastor and deacons about these things. If the pastor and deacons goes along with you and your group, and agrees with it, then you can start working on clearing the fe m¡n¡sts and fem ¡n¡sm out of your church; if it does work, and the pastor and deacons turn on you, you won’t have to worry about it because they'll kick you out themselves.
