It would be hilarious to have Dumbledore and Elphias Doge as those overzealous first-year students, much like Colin Creevey, always eager to learn and maybe a bit annoying to their peers. Dumbledore’s keen interest in magical anomalies and ancient magic could lead him naturally to the Hallows, especially since we’ll be on a quest to hunt them down. I like the ideas here, but I honestly want to see our main character progress through school. Make the game longer if needed, but we need to graduate as a 7th year. I loved the ideas about a muggle uprising, but I see Sebastian's line as done.
I wish we could import our character from the 1st part, but it takes place few years later and we are adult wizard/witch. We could create our "adult self" based on our appearance from the first game. That would be great - the continuity of our story.

@@J35ang31 I feel like they will want to continue the same MC, same avatar. Cuz I also think the reason to put us in the 5th year was to have us experience the last three years of hogwarts
@@BenjaminSnow I also think they set it up in the 5th year on purpose I am really curious how they will handle the story of the previous game. Like what happened to the Kobold rebellion. Who will take over Rookwood‘s gang. And Sebastian will also be interesting, cause you can decide to turn him in. I have my own theory for that. Sebastian will be in Azkaban. Either we turned him in or his sister. That way they can port our choice and mention it shortly without having to create two very different story lines overall. Our side character from Slytherin will be Ominis instead now. As a descendant from Slytherin he offers a lot of possible narratives and there could be more dark secrets to learn about his family. Then Anne will be a also a side character here and we will see how she deals with the situation. Maybe we will even find a way to undo the curse to honor Sebastian. That‘s my guess on how they handle it
Sequel can move on to fantastic beast chapters, then Lily's and James Potter's school year chapters, then to Harry Potter series. The game will be called Hogwarts Destiny. In all those movies happen, your avatar goes do his/her own part in the stories
It would be cool to see it go through year 6 and 7 of Hogwarts and the final game of the series being what you choose career wise or if you go down the route of one of the most powerful dark wizard/witch. I wish your choices had more of an impact on your character with how you treat your peers but either way I love this game and would love to see multiple sequels
YEa! In the sequel we could be trying/choosing the professions and what we'd want to do as a career and then in the third game we could actually fully live out those "careers" with having us travel around different parts of the Wizarding World.
A. I like the name Ascension. Before we get started, it should allow us to say what our ending was in the 1st. Did we keep the power of the reposity, or sealed it, along with choosing to keep a secret or tell others when ready. Sebastion's fate of if we turned him in or not. Not to meantioned that customizing our character again and house choice. Through out the game we would meet ppl who gave us side quests (finding lost pets and other things) we choose what we did in the end there so the story will continue. B. I kind of hoping that we would visit other schools and explore around. Like visiting Uagadou from Natty taking us a trip to her old home. C. If muggels r coming about; what if we save some like heroes, and either erase their memories or they become secret keepers. Even opening wizard's eyes that muggles aren't all bad or lesser beings. Thus changing the prejudice views of wizardy or pure-blood supremacy. And Muggles who b in aw wonders like Jacob from FB. P.S. The reposity is full of pain that was taken, what if we invented a spell that copies (not takes) good emotions and merges with the pain to balance it out ☯.
Dude! I'd love Ilvermony Legacy! But yea, I think our role will be to try to mitigate and deal with consequences of the new conflict, but it will be up to us exactly HOW we deal with it.
Weird enough when you did your title search, you came up with the 5 best possibilities, but you missed the one word that incapsulates then all, "Hogwarts Reckoning"
I think from here on out these wizarding world movies & games should be: The Wizarding World Presents: "Add Title Here". Example: The Wizarding World Presents: The Marauders or The First Wizarding War. I'd also like to see films & games set in America, Germany, & Africa. JK has a whole universe here...use it!
One hope I carry for future games in this series is that we can still create our own character. That would feel better than playing as anyone already established.
Maybe it should be called as: Hogwarts Uprising Like where anything is possible , but at the same time it is not quite like how we all want it to be like. But more like keeping everything in darkness until we all have explored it all , but also to come with a self discovery for absolutely everything. But letting us to be the drivers of the whole game , but it’s just depending on how we all interact to everything the game throws at us all. But also allowing us to be part of all the 4 houses , but also gaining a whole lot more of Magic and also gaining the Ancient Magic. But darkness will be absolutely everywhere , but it’ll be up to us all like where we all put our time into. But also unveiling absolutely everything of Merlin and diving deeper into the darkness itself.

as long as I get another harry potter game and properly made I don't care what it is. (though preferably I would like some story out side of england, which I mean the entire UK.)
also, I’m expecting a teaser trailer this year, maybe just a title card announcement, but since the Harry Potter HBO is coming out late 2026/Q1 2027, I’m expecting HL sequel announcement around fall of this year tbh, with HL definitive edition announcement during Sony’s SOP or Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in April (if they showcase 3rd party games)
I also wish that we dark witches and wizards , would be able to learn a lot more of the dark history , magic , spells and how to control them all either from our own wands or from our own hands or minds. And also of dark creatures and of other lands , also how to make our our own secret bases , also making our own magic and spells either how to help Voldemort or to over throw him , and go against him and we will all be the ones to have all of the power for ourselves. And also how to become as Warlocks and Warwitches.

There needs to be a semester abroad dlc for the next game where you get to go to another of the great wizarding school for a while and have a short adventure
Hogwarts Beseiged. The ancient magic reservoir distorts reality making Hogwarts the center of dark magic and the player has to find a way to gain access to Hogwarts and bring the ancient magic under control.
Imo you are looking in too dark a place. Hogwarts and Harry Potter is not as popular as it is because of its dark parts. It is originally a story for children and imo that its biggest draw for a big part of the audience. Sure, neither the current game does nor future once will completely embrace this, but it cannot be cast aside completely. So I doubt it will be overly dark and mature.
@@andreasabels589 I agree to disagree. The “outside world” is pretty dark even in the first chapters of HP. But Hogwarts itself serves as a place of comfort and warmth. I didn’t focus on it too much here, but there’s definitely should be a nice and charming aspect of the storyline that’d be pulling us out of the gloom and Hogwarts itself should represent that.
No matter the title, Hogwarts 2 MUST BE at least PEGI 16. I get that WB needs a financial rebound but come on. Kids play GTA either way and more mature story arch and above all character style along with the darkness and mysteries in the lore are what truly peak the interest of HP fans. I hope they focus like 90% of their work on the story quality, character's depth and RPG aspect. I love the lore more than anything but good god were these elements shallow (apart from Sebastian's arch perhaps although it's also a bucket full of missed opportunities and the conclusion with murder feeling as if it came out of nowhere made me cringe). What makes legendary RPGs so good (Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Mass Effect) is the depth of the story, characters, moral choices with consequences (Mass Effect paragon system would be great in this lore), relatable dilemmas. Hogwarts Legacy solemnly focused on bringing every aspect of the HP world to life but it completely missed it's merit and depth. I fear this plead will not get through even though i know i'm not the only one feeling all that. Unfortunately i fear that Hogwarts got wrong developer for the job. Avalanche is not famous for great stories. Hope im wrong.
Can almost garrantee it will be "Hogwarts Legacy II: ______ " With a name like "Legacy" (a word with an undefinited end) and the fact that the first one was a whole century before the Harry Potter years, they'll be able to encompass multiple stories across MANY eras under the "Legacy" title. Just Like Assasin's Creed which has over a dozen stories spanning millennia, throughout the whole time the "Creed" hardly ever changed so why would "Legacy"? You forget it's the legacy of Hogwarts itself not *player name* legacy if that helps. Can't believe we're focusing so much on the name..... Anywho, hoping it's like the first game in that it adds to the story of the HP universe and not alters it to justify its own presence. Great ideas to expand the franchise: Follow Dumbledore's path to greatness Follow Tom Riddle's path to darkness Follow the three Deathly Hallows Follow the children of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, etc through their time at school Any of those would be great additions to the franchise. And if I could change anything about the first game I'd like to see better facial expressions from the characters and the game needs some aspect of ethical consequence, as it is right now there's nothing you can do to change the outcome of your gameplay outside of learning forbidden spells. Recently finished it after a VERY addicting playthrough but after seeing everything worth seeing I worry there won't be much replayability ☹️
Hogwarts Basilisks, Lethifolds and Nandus ; Hogwarts Muggle Roman Empire ; Hogwarts Henge and Nessy and my favourite: Hogwarts Horcrux Hegemony (triple H).
Thank you I really appreciated this, something to think on although I need to digest a lot of it I think Sebastian becoming a villian would be interesting especially with tapping into the ancient magic like Ranrok did
Thanks! The only thing that makes me hate the idea of Sebastian becoming a villain is loosing him as a friend. But at the same time, where things were left, it is a very likely scenario. It's as if we are witnessing the birth of "Voldemort" but in a different time and different person. We only have one opinion about Voldemort. We knew about his childhood and all, but we first knew what he became. Here we are seeing it from a different prospective. We see this character as a friend and have a connection to him and it will be a more emotionally charged transformation.. with a little lesson - villains, in the beginning, look pretty much like us.
Can there be online duelling mode please? 🙏😫 Like the mobile game Warner Bros recently deleted Europe and The US server Magic Awakened. Online duelling is a must!
If it will release in 2027 alongsside the serie. Do you think they will reveal it this year or necx year? And do you think we will still get the D.E from hogwarts or do you think it was a false 'leak'?
The glow of the Definitive Edition starts to faint, but I still have my hopes 😅 Although if we don't get anything until the end of this year then for sure it means that the only next thing we'll see is the Sequel. Which typically starts being lightly marketed about 1,5 to 1 year beforehand. So, depending when they actually want to release the game we;d count back from that. My bet is either September PlayStation Showcase in 2025 would be a good time to drop a very small teaser.. like a logo reveal just like God of War Ragnarok did, if they aim for 2027.. and September 2026 Playstation Showcase if they wanna launch in 2028.
@@BenjaminSnow I hope so. Running around by yourself is tiresome. Also the "loot caves" no one ever talks about were terrible. You go inside and theres no fight? whats the about? like if youre going to make me go down a long tunnel underground at least make me do it for a purpose. Nothing to fight and the loot in the chests were worthless. Needs an entire rework
@ I can agree about those caves/“dungeons”.. I was just getting excited when entering and almost right away being let down by the fact that there’s just a chest. Some had some interesting puzzles, but the majority had only loot in them
How do you even know they will do something different in the name? Personally, even though no one else wants this, I would prefer it to follow Harry's timeline, even if we are forced to play as Harry, Ron or Hermione. I just like Harry's story, and the games that were made in the past before Hogwarts Legacy, had horrible graphics, and in the case of the Lego games, just sucked altogether. I would LOVE if they made 7 more games, each based on a book, where we actually get to do the things Harry and his friends did in the books. And if they explored every subplot in the books which the movies didn't do, the games themselves could be over 100 hours worth of play. I don't actually expect them to do that, because it would require a ton of work and money, but if they did I would buy all 7 games and any dlc added, and I'm sure many fans would do the same. I mean Warner Bros is a business, and what better way to make money than to make more than two or three games? I mean Final Fantasy is up to 16 already not even counting remakes, so it's not impossible. And there were so many other students in Harry Potter, so it's not like there couldn't be an option to create your own character. Or hell, even better, they should make a Harry Potter MMO. It could start with the first year, and continue even after you graduate, giving the option for multiple career paths, giving the opportunity to marry one of your classmates and have a family, plus it would keep the game alive for a very long time.
@@ewhitlock83 well I just thought that HL 2 is too simple of a title, and only a few games do that.. its never Harry Potter 2, 3 etc.. we refer to them like that, but they all have their names. But idk I could be 100% wrong here, they could just do like Spider-Man 2..

@@J35ang31 I feel like they will want to continue the same MC, same avatar. Cuz I also think the reason to put us in the 5th year was to have us experience the last three years of hogwarts
@@BenjaminSnow that’s good and maybe if possible we can hints of the backstory of our MC nothing big just some details about his life before Hogwarts.
@ yea, it’d be cool to see some answers about our backstory
@@BenjaminSnow I also think they set it up in the 5th year on purpose
I am really curious how they will handle the story of the previous game.
@@shonglor4466 ooo I like the sound of that!
I'd love to explore London and some of the other iconic locations, as well as a tri-wizard tournament, but mostly I want the ability to play co-op!
@ that would be great, so much of the wizarding world we’ve yet to see
I like ascension. It would represent well the main character, Sebastian, and even Dumbledore
@@ramonbetzler7786 it works well as well!
Very good ideas for the story and type of gameplay it would be depending on your decisions and such. Amazing perspective bro 🪄
Weird enough when you did your title search, you came up with the 5 best possibilities, but you missed the one word that incapsulates then all, "Hogwarts Reckoning"
I see it like the Star Wars JEDI franchise, with first subtitle being "Fallen Order" and the second, "Survivor".
Exactly..
idk how, but I need them to bring over ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ as the title card for its sequel somehow, it’s just too iconic at this point
That would feel better than playing as anyone already established.
for sure!
Maybe it should be called as: Hogwarts Uprising
Like where anything is possible , but at the same time it is not quite like how we all want it to be like.
@@ThunderAxeman I like it! Uprising was one of the words I also considered for the sequel
@@BenjaminSnow
Upraising definitely really fits it a lot more better than the others that you have mentioned in that video.
But thanks for liking my comment and giving it a love.
I do like that word that you used sir.
Cuz it really suits it a lot more better than the other words.
And thanks for going out of your day to give me a comment from you.
It really means a lot to me.
as long as I get another harry potter game and properly made I don't care what it is. (though preferably I would like some story out side of england, which I mean the entire UK.)
I too want to expand our explorations beyond UK
it should be a direct sequel to hogwarts legacy if they make a HOGWARTS LEGACY 2
@@iloveowls90 and what is wrong with some quest involving location out side of UK?
Great start to the year on your channel, your editing keeps getting better 😎
Thanks!
also, I’m expecting a teaser trailer this year, maybe just a title card announcement, but since the Harry Potter HBO is coming out late 2026/Q1 2027, I’m expecting HL sequel announcement around fall of this year tbh, with HL definitive edition announcement during Sony’s SOP or Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in April (if they showcase 3rd party games)
Hogwarts legacy impurim sounds good it rolls off the tongue and I hope the story takes in early 90’s durning the first wizarding war
you say all this, but a game is confirmed to be in production
yea, a sequel.. the title isn't confirmed yet, which is the topic of the video
@BenjaminSnow oh alr. Just the title was Hella misleading. Also no hate or anything, I'm just speaking my idiotic mind lol. Sorry if it felt like that.
visiting some of the other schools would be an interesting option that still lets them center Hogwarts
I'd love that! Like as part of some quest and have that school be kind of like a dungeon
I wish we could see other wizarding schools, Uagadou, Beauxbatons, and the rest.
@@benb8078 yea, have like a quest where we visit any of those schools just for a little bit
It would be so so cool if we would play an ongoing auror in London and we would be going back to Hogwarts to save it.
The second part has already appeared and will be called "Hogwarts First Order"
Хотелось бы играть за мракоборца которого отправляют в Хогвартс с целью спасти ученицу от покушения злых волшебников, попутно проводить расследование
Understanding more about your protagonist's backstory and whether he/she can explore Durmstrang and all intuitions and travel outside Scotland isle and explore France, Netherlands, USA and far more
Would love at least some of that in the sequel!
Can almost garrantee it will be "Hogwarts Legacy II: ______ "
With a name like "Legacy" (a word with an undefinited end) and the fact that the first one was a whole century before the Harry Potter years, they'll be able to encompass multiple stories across MANY eras under the "Legacy" title.
Great ideas to expand the franchise:
Follow Dumbledore's path to greatness
Follow Tom Riddle's path to darkness
Follow the three Deathly Hallows
Follow the children of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, etc through their time at school
Any of those would be great additions to the franchise.
Avalanche already said with eb they are starting development on 2 so.....
Hogwarts Basilisks, Lethifolds and Nandus ; Hogwarts Muggle Roman Empire ; Hogwarts Henge and Nessy and my favourite: Hogwarts Horcrux Hegemony (triple H).
the triple H 😄
They can name it how they long. The key thing is how fast can they do it 😂
Great vid Ben! I think the sequel will be called: Hogwarts Buffet. Cuz we’ll be eating good!
haha I like that!
@BenjaminSnow it would definitely be bittersweet, if so I hope we can redeem him before it's too late :)
@ yea! That’s where our choices could really matter.
We are getting a hogwarts legacy 2
no, it'll be Hogwarts Legacy 2 because the legacy is the history of the school, the School's Legacy which is more than just the ancient magic
That's an option too..
I'm for legacy, it's cool and works with any storyline.
sure, they can still keep the original title and just do the 2
Ok, that made me excited again xD
😀
idc if they copy and paste give us multiplayer co op and most importantly give us quidditch
I think there's a good chance they'll implement some sort of multiplayer mode, separate from the core campaign

@@matthewboyajian9593 I think they chose to go “less is more” route with the title. Cuz Legacy is a broad word, can be anything. And maybe they didn’t want to giveaway too much at the start, but intrigue enough for people to try it out. But they could also expand the title a bit for the sequel
