Great postings, Marco. Mille grazie. My application is currently being reviewed by the San Francisco Consulate after waiting 3 years for an appointment and then submission of my documents this April. I was under the impression that my case was very straightforward, but since my US born mother was just under 5 years old when her father (my maternal grandfather) naturalized, it appears mine may be considered a minor case. As none of my research over the past 3 years yielded any references to this "minor case" scenario as a potential obstacle, this is all news to me. All of the examples you are providing relate to the Italian courts. Do you have any insights as to the differences in the consulate process vs. the tribunali process? Is this worth your and my time to do a consultation or should I just wait for the consuls response? I was advised in early April that the Consul would review my case and advise within 6mo-1yr. Thoughts?

So it’s like you mean if the Italian citizen ancestor If he got another country naturalised after 1912 and child is in minor then will affect the citizenship as I am correct ?
Hello. I applied for an Italian citizenship about 30 years ago but never got a passport and I don’t remember receiving a confirmation. Is there anyway to check if I am an Italian citizen now?
Good morning, we should make a legal process on your process for getting all records. Please reach us through the contact form for a more detailed and well-oriented consultation on your case : mbersanilaw.com/contatti Regards The Team-
If a parent naturalized before the birth of the child, the child cannot have Italian Citizenship rights (except in some situations we should evaluate). We need to better check your case and evaluating if we can appeal the decision. A government office should not apply a court precedent discretionally, if this is what happened. Are you aware of any successful 1948 cases that involve a minor ancestor? Or if not, do you have any concern that they would be less successful due to the additional barrier?
Thank you for the update. 🙏
Looking forward to our case being heard in January 2025 (8 applicants) - 1948 rule. Marco has been amazing to deal with
Really good information and great news!
Thank you for your comment.
Thanks

Hello, the 1948 are very well established, so we don’t think they will be less successful.
