I remember a situation where I simply diffused it by being present. I saw these two young ladies getting "harassed" by a couple of guys, and when I saw it, I just walked up and asked what was going on.
Dudes fled, and the young ladies thanked me and asked for me to stay so that way they could have some security as their friends arrived (basically, their car had stopped near 6th and Ogden back in Vegas). The friends came to fix their vehicle and I was on my way home.

Well said bro. Many people are willfully ignorant, and many people are not broadening and improving their mindset, critical thinking skills (and fully understanding the legal gravity of their actions), and comprehensive physical skills to adequately apply defensive use of force, whether its empty handed or otherwise.
Do you watch/browse the videos of Whatifalthist? He says that a main issue with The Right as it currently stands is that it mainly suffers from severe and concerning levels of "Sociopathy" within it (e.g., the disturbing behavior that Will describes).
I would reckon that's primarily due to "hard-core" types within The Right, and while I am no stranger to being "hard-core" myself (due to having gone to prison for such), sometimes it's best to display some humility and willingness to be merciful.

no, it's NOT "absurd", not at all. Thinking like that helps you get done what has to be done and also helps you be ok with having DONE it, for the rest of your life. Many combat vets LOVE being in combat and in ways, war is WORSE for your mind than ridding the earth of some scumbag criminal. With the exception of fundamentalist Islamists, the enemy are just poor suckers drafted into the wrong army and 40 years later, you might even become friends. That happened with MANY ww2 vets.
When was the last time you were on a route riddled with IED's and the risk of being ambushed? Because I can tell ya that absolutely sucks. Being shot at sucks, its the people you're with that make war tolerable.
To the point though, he's not talking about a foreign war here in the larger context, he's talking about civilians who do not have the developed mindset to thrive and adapt when a firearm isn't accessible in the bigger picture, and the mens rea (rationalizing mentality in legalese) for using a weapon in the first place.

But this isn't WWII, bro. While I can accept this sentiment, I mainly disagree because this is a mentality that will end in a Criminal Conviction (and trust me, The Feds don't take kindly to "Terroristic Threats" - knew a guy who got convicted on 6 - 7 counts).
