  • Would only blow hot on passanger side no matter the setting. Correction this is a 2001 model and would be also for 2002. Noticed a lot of people complaining but no real solution so I decided to share my experience.

Thanks👍 On my 2006 I could adjust the temp, but not the vents or direction of blow. This reset did the trick. Great car.
Well, after the engine shut off and some sort of incomplete self-check it was momentarily stuck again. So maybe needs some more TLC. Or oil by the sounds of it😂

This worked for me as well. it was a Volkswagen Routan, which is basically a town & country with a different body. I had a low battery issue and while jumping off the van I turned it on and off a ton and something during that process must have freaked out one of the AC servomotors that controls the flap. The reset trick did the job. During the reset I could hear the system moving all the flaps around. Thanks for posting!

I had the same issue. Driver side blows hot air but rest of van blew cold air. Problem was the actuator. Mine just needed some grease on the plastic gears then it worked like new. the grease dried up.

Thanks, man, that's exactly what it was. I think it was blowing out hot air because the filter was clogged and the warm return air which would otherwise pass through the filter, was being pushed out the filter bottom.

Thanks, I wonder if the cycle thing would work for my wife's 2007 van. Hers will be cold and then for about 10 seconds blow hot then goes back to cold. Very strange.

My 2007 Grand Caravan started blowing heat from the passenger side for approximately 5 seconds every minute. The air is cold then goes to high heat and then back to cold. Like clockwork!. I'll try this and see if it works. Thanks!

      Check your antifreeze level

If you lose heat in the front and not in the back, check the ac actuator under the dash since that is what controls the front. If that is ok then check that the front heater core is not clogged. You can tell if the front heater core is working since it will feel hot to the right of the gas pedal.

Anyone know how to reset it on a 2014. The buttons are different than the ones shown here and I can’t make it recycle.

Thanks for the video but it's hotter than a slave ship in this van, skip the smalltalk and life story and get to the calibration, thanks
