I was following this tutorial along and also ended up with your result after setting SSL on in vhosts.. I have discovered there is an httpd-ssl.conf also but still cannot get my site back.. what did you do? EDIT: Found out that if you run apache_start.bat from c:\xampp it will tell you if you have any syntax errors.. I must have hit a space bar during the alias change a few lines down from there. That bat file told me which line the error was at! BAM back up and running..

http default port is 80 and https port is 443 which is known by every browser. Your solution is only possible if your browser search for 7070 port by default.
Hello. Very nice tutorial but the site sslforfree don't let me verify the ssl. I'm using godaddy domain and I successfully added the details of ssl but won't let me verify. Any idea? Maybe an alternative site for free ssl?
SwatiGaming all.done by manual verification from the host. Dns verification never worked for me. Also you have a mistake when you create virtual hosts. Custom conf file cause an apache error if you write ssl settings before you setup ssl
SwatiGaming yeah but you didn't use the comment angular for every line of ssl so problem appears. I just let you know, because I have the same issue and it took me hours to resolve

https//www.mysite.com is working well on local host, but request is not processed form outside network. Please help..
Check your firewall and make sure you've port forwarded 80 (HTTP Port) and 443 (HTTPS Port) in your router settings.

i need help, i couldnt get it work with SSL, i think because i could not set TTL to 1, set 300, on freessl page i had warning that ttl isnt to set 1
Then verify your domain manually, By file uploading to your web directory with in the given path by sslforfree.com.

if you have static IP you can use the above tutor. that good information. if you don't have static IP it's totally useless.
Use No-IP and run DUC on your host system. Ugly URL but problem solved.

Try an alternate option for verifying your domain.

That's why ssl lines are disabled in the video earlier till i setup the ssl certificates with ca_bundle. It will have to work fine after it.
"#" is used to disable any line in the .conf files.

Try alternate method verify it by ftp method.
