    The tires are the main thing holding you back on the trail. The tires that come with it are mainly for street riding.

      That was the first thing I swapped on the bike. I put 1000km on the stock tires then bought Pirelli Scorpion STR tires and swapped

    I hope triumph will gonna make a 660 rally pro version of the tiger sports 660.

      I would like that also. The 900 and 1200 Tigers are a bit heavier and more expensive than I’d like for a majority off-roader
      A mid engine with lighter weight would be perfect for me

    you need two important things to own Such an expensive bikes, 1. Money to buy 2. courage to do such dares with that costly bikes and 3. Enjoy in such situation without any hesitations or worry to lose the money and Bike both.

      Full coverage insurance adds some peace of mind. However, this is also one of the cheapest bikes made by Triumph

      @@enjoy_the_ride Yes but in India currently it is costing 9 Lakh Rupees + (USD-$11250)

      @@thestone3849 quite expensive. Selling in the Philippines at ₱555,000 which is less than $10,000usd, but the exchange rate has changed significantly in the last few months

      @@jollibee000 CJV Motorcycle parts is the name of the place that did the crash guard for me. They are in Rizal. I’m using Pirelli Scorpion STR tires, they handle really well on and off road

      @@enjoy_the_ride That was my Problem with a honda cbf 600 sa as well.
      With my vfr I do not dare going more than gravel roads. This bike is heavy! I do not want to drop it!

      @@stefanjepp6612 makes sense. After adding a skid plate to the Tiger I have maybe 6” ground clearance so I don’t take it places I take my dirt bikes
      But have joined ADV bikes on a number of rides and can hang with them on simple trails. Very high air filter also so no worries about water crossings

      This was my second big bike (over 400cc)
      It has a ton of acceleration power but can be beginner friendly

    Damn. With a 660 sport bike, pretty ballsy. Why did you choose this bike and not a tiger adv or something else?

      I have a Honda 150 dirt bike and a Royal Enfield Himalayan also. That I use for more technical off-roading
      So I wanted something with some real speed power also. Can’t help but try it off-road. It really does handle well

      Similar design but the upper and lower guards on the Triumph are not connected to each other
      Two separate guards

    3cylinder quite struggling on the low rev.. for me this isn't suit this bike well

      Yes, I agree in general. Putting the bike in “rain mode” makes the low rev work better off-road, but the bike has a lot of low end power that spins the wheels if you’re not careful
      I enjoyed taking it off-road but do not do it often

      @@enjoy_the_ride hoping it is a good replacement for my 2007 DRZ400SM. Less than 200 kg, seat height from 840 mm, front wheel at least 19 inch, wire spoked, adjustable suspension, switchable ABS. Fingers crossed!

      @@davidmallia628 sounds like a good combination. With this bike I’ve found going into rain mode and switching off traction control make it work pretty well off-road, but the lack of clearance and low mud guards are not ideal

      @@enjoy_the_ride just goes to show that this 660 platform has potential for an Enduro version. I had a Versys 650 that I believed had potential for an Enduro version on the same platform. It never came. Instead they stuck to the klr platform. What a pity!

      @@davidmallia628 I rode a Versys 1000 about 6 months ago in Texas. Super fun bike to ride. Far too heavy to really want to take off-road.
      I’m very excited to see what Triumph comes up with for enduro

    Do you think this suspension is all right for such terrain?

      The suspension has a manual adjustment knob. I tighten it a fair amount when taking the bike off-road and it’s as stiff as I want it to be, I wouldn’t use the same setting on roads

      That’s a good question that I haven’t really measured yet. I’m doing a long road trip first week of May and I’ll get a good read then

      No issues with water and the exhaust.
