Looks great Mine is so damn loose i got to point i hit dash and not even get in gear I changed the tower piece that goes into transmission and the bushings and omg. I dont even know how i drove before it lol
I’ve got the same tranny and I’m noticing now a “bearing” type noise that goes away when I hold the shifter still. I do notice a fair amount of play in the shifter and just wondering if those vibrations from this worn bushing could cause that?

I am not an expert by no means. I am sure that it could be but cannot swear to it.
Another option would be to use a hacksaw blade to slice the bushing.
yea that makes it ez also leaf spring bushings i just use my burrs with the die grider
And here I thought the massive free play was normal
Not trying to be an asshole but ya know ya could have used the vise to press in the new bushing right, still a good job tho.
