Happy to help. What’s your budget? I have not yet tried the new Adam Audio D3V, but they have a passive radiator and look really promising. They’ll be released in a few weeks (and I will be doing a review).
hey I am looking to get some new speakers and I'd like to go on the high end. My motherboard comes with alc1200 audio does the audio chip on the motherboard matter? And what if you use a amp?
If you use a speaker that supports USB-C input, then your sound card does not matter. I reccomend USB-C speakers to most people since that removes the potential of cable interference. What's the best fully Wireless budget 2.1 Bluetooth Speakers with No Distortion? Hi. I'm looking for a fully wireless 2.1 Bluetooth speaker system for a desktop PC, friendly budget, that doesn’t require any adapters. Would love to hear your experiences with good options available this year!
hello, I have presonus 3.5 and i am consindering new and bigger ones for living room, do u know anything about the VULKKANO A5 ARC Active Speaker with 5.25 Inch Woofer? I would like to know your opinion.
@@Jasper_Tech anything under 200 would be reasonable. But I’m torn between doing a true 2.1 or just a cheap pair of pebble or something. My monitor is now in a room with my computer now also connected to my 75 inch oled with a q990c. And I have Logitech g pro x 2 headphones for when I want to game hawrd. But I want good audio for my 40 inch desk with my 32 inch monitor that is on a monitor arm. 24 inch deep desk. Idk.
A question if I may; at what point is a decent sound card on the PC or laptop a requirement for these speakers? Will they function well with a basic laptop sound card?
Do you consider yourself an audiophile? Is so, then yes, getting a dedicated DAC will get you slightly better sound quality’s however, for the vast majority of people, the internal sounds card is totally fine. Also, if you use a speaker that has a USB input or via Bluetooth, that negates the need for any sound card since it provides a purely digital signal to the speaker.
They're expensive and not ideal for a smaller desk like yours but if you want to have your mind blown, check out the Kali Audio Ultra-Nearfield Studio Monitor System sometime. I am absolutely shocked by how good they are. I probably shouldn't be as Kali Audio's monitors are some of the best in the business. That being said, I have Kanto TUKs, YUs and ORAs so I guess that makes me a fanboy. I can't wait to hear the soon to be released Kanto ORA4s and RENs. I can't share URLs through TH-cam so you'll have to Google those last two if you're curious. The ORA4s are a small improvement on the ORAs and the RENs are Kanto's first with HDMI.
I've been waiting for the ORA4. Supposed to be released in April, but Kanto delayed them to add some new colors (all matte): black, white, pink, red, and purple. They should hit North American warehouses in September. Source: I emailed their customer support and asked.
I like my Kanto YU2s but they've been RMA'd once under warranty and self-repaired out of warranty. I'm hesitant to get more of their stuff just for that.
Hi! What should I buy - Kanto ora yu6, audioengine P4 or iloud micro monitor? Only these three speakers are available in my country. I would like to buy the one with the best sound. I would be very grateful if you would answer
Hmmm. The P4 are passive speakers and the others are active. If you're looking for an active speaker to fill a whole room, I'd probably go for the YU6 or an Audioengine A5 (link below). These are both excellent speaker. If you're looking for a speaker for your desk, then I'd go for the Kanto ORA. If you're looking for a neutral sounding Monitor, then I'd go for the Iloud micro Monitor.
Hmmmm. The YU6 is a beast and will be able to fill a room and have more bass. The ORA is more neutral and good for listening if you're sitting close to the middle of the speakers. It really depends on your use case, but unless you want something to fill a room or want more bass without a sub, I'd go with the ORAs.
Jasper, what would you recommend for watching movies on my Macbook Pro at my desk? I have a 27 inch Dell monitor and I'd like a small set of speakers to use for movies. Something better than the built in speakers of my Macbook.
The room I have is barely 10 square meters and I am looking for nice 2.1 system. Got like 500-600 Euro to spend and I really cant decide. What would you recommend me? They are supposed to be used for overall use for PC and TV.
If they’re going to be used with a TV, I think a great option is the new Kanto REN because it has an HDMI port and ARC/CEC. I’m working on a review for it now and I’m very impressed. It has a sub out, but I think many people will find it’s not necessary. amzn.to/48FqJtC Otherwise, the ORA4 plus a Sub8 is a really nice combo, but just bear in mind it may be tough to connect it to your TV (no HMDI or optical).
@@Jasper_Tech oh Kanto Ren are speakers there is no sub with them. What I see here where I live from offered brands are Edifier, Polk, Q Acoustics, Klipsch, Bowers and Wilkins and Denon
I disagree with the not getting the pebbles with the subwoofer . I have the V2's + subwoofer and the SB makes a big difference especially once I tuned it with APO Equalizer. I love bass and this combo gives me enough.
Why can't we have 2 front speakers that each has a dedicated tweeter, excellent midrange in the middle and the bottom speaker be a low to midrange? If i need more base, which i likely will not, i could add that later - my motherboard has an output for that. thanks looking for a 'simple' sound solution that would let me hear dialog in shows i watch on my PC. I also can't find a single 'active' center channel. I really don't want to use a DAC. Thanks again
What is the input? Using a turntable as source then YU4. From a TV then the Toslink. From a computer then the USB C of the ORA 4 is better. ORA4 also has 24/96 on the DAC so high res audio can be played back. Adding a sub is likely to even out any difference in sound quality. Take your own music into a store and listen (not on Bluetooth or MP3 but any source that is not compressed and lossy).
There’s an old saying in the engine world “there’s no replacement for displacement (engine size)”. I think the same often holds true with speakers. The YU2 sound great for what they are, however, I think the bigger Swans speakers will ultimately sound better, and you may find yourself thinking you don’t need a sub. If it were me, I’d try the Swans and if you find them lacking on bass, then add a sub!
Just purchased the pebble v3 thanks to you. I’m not expecting anything great, I just need some cheap audio for my pc. Trying to move away from headphones and earbuds.
I love my t40, but watch out, My creative speakers randomly won't turn on with sound, I have to leave something playing and then turn them off at the wall, wait till the sound starts and quickly turn them back on.... They are 5+ years old now (already replaced the power brick) Seems to be a common fault after a long time of use !
Agreed! Despite the current "Bose stinks" knee jerk response from so many people the Companion is a heck of a speaker. Got mine on sale for $95.00 USD (for the pair) and love them.
I have a pair! They sound phenomenal, however, their connectivity has been a bit hit or miss lately. I’d check out The Fives to see if they suit your needs.
@helloyu6270 can you tell me more about what you’ll be using them for? Mostly audio production? Casual listening? A mixture? Will you be using them just at a desk, or do you also want to be able fill a room? And finally, what would you say are the most important factors? I’m thinking things like size, neutral sound response, aesthetics, not fatiguing, bass response, etc.
you seem to be a good person to ask. i current have edifier 1280db's and they are.. okay. on the other hand i have a pair of beyerdynamic dt990 and i love how they sound. the edifier have 2 "problems" they sound flat and dampend compare to the beyer headphones and they are very sensetiv to positon. meaning, they dont throw a very wide cone so to speak, they dont fill the room. so what iam looking for, is a pair of speaker, that have the same or similar sound profile as the dt990 but a wide cone then the edifiers.. speakers that dont need to be perfectly centered towars you in order to sound right.. any suggestions?
@@Jasper_Tech eventually went for the Elac. Both great with my PC using USB and toslink. Might get a bigger one like the upcoming Kanto Ren or the Klipsch K50PM eventually.
Big thanks for your work 😊 What would be your choice about sound quality between Yu4 and Ora ? (no space restriction) (if they were the same price) thank you 🙏
Im very curious how the Kanto ORA compares to the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 THX. Obviously, these are in two different price ranges, but everyone loves the Kilpsch!
The Klipsch are a lot of speaker for the money, but their sound is not super refined. The sub gives them strong bass, and people love bass (nothing wrong with that!). The ORA are closer to being a studio Monitor, so their sound is much more neutral and balanced. The bass is good for their size, but they are ultimately small speakers at the end of the day. If you want speakers to fill a whole room, the ORA are probably too quiet for that.
That Kanto Ora waveguide and woofer configuration looks HIGHLY remniscent of the JBL 3 series. Also is size the reason Jamo s80x series were not mentioned? There's a powered one I haven't tried yet
Nice to see the Swans! I've actually had them for like half a year now and they;re absolutely amazing. I wouldn't call the bass they produce "impressive", but it's the only non-positive thing I could say about them.
I have two sets of Creative Gigaworks T40 series 2 and two sets of Presonus Eris E3.5 they are both great speakers , I use the Gigaworks T40 for movies and gaming and the Presonus Eris for music
Another to check out if on a super budget is the Edifier R12U. I have them and they are super small, 2.25" woofer. They are USB powered and I use them when traveling with the laptop. Surprisingly they image really well and sound very full. They have no low bass but that is expected for something so small.
Keep an eye out for the new Kanto Ora 4s, previewed at CES 2024 and hopefully releasing later this year. The same as the Ora but with a bigger 4' dome and slightly revised and updated features.
Great video again! I'm guessing you are talking about the ones you have tried, but I'd add the Edifier MR4 for that budget range. Really good for the price.
@crazyprayingmantis5596 - thanks for this! I'm planning on making a new video in the next few months that include the MR4, Edifiers, and the ORA 4 once it’s released.
I've been eyeballing the Edifier r1280DBs. $150 for the pair, and ~$270 with the T5 subwoofer (iirc). The r1280Ts don't have the optical input. r980Ts are a bit cheaper as well at ~$90.
The Kanto TUK have been my set for a few years now. Frankly, Kanto's entire product lineup is exceptional, but I really enjoy how TUK sounds when compared to the YU series.
Great video dude. My daily players are Edifier bookshelf units. But Im looking for a set for my 2nd rig, an Acer Spin 713, Pornitor (yes! thats right) 14" 2k portable monitor, and a Razer Atheris bt mouse. This is my travel rig so the speakers must fit in my Mobile Edge Alienware laptop backpack without crushing into screens. I can skimp on hotels, airfare, etc.. but I insist on having a decent setup in that fleabag hotel!

Hey Jasper - great video, nice summary of a range of different options. You kind of skirted over the Kanto YU2s, they look to be a sweet spot for price for me in the UK, and look smart!
I have the Logitech Z625, want to go to a 2 speaker only but I'm afraid of what I will lose wihtout a subwoofer. Can you recommend something "similar"?
Happy to help. What’s your budget? I have not yet tried the new Adam Audio D3V, but they have a passive radiator and look really promising. They’ll be released in a few weeks (and I will be doing a review).
So how do we power the speakers?? I have mine setup to go from my PC to an EQ then a power amp, then out to the speakers but I get some noise.
Thanks.
This is actually a very helpful guide, thank you. You definitely deserve a lot more subscribers.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
I was honestly looking for a review on a cheap set of speakers for a second setup in the office, and the pebble really fit the bill :)
I have bought the newest pebble and send them back. Very disappointed.
@@pieterjdw I mean, I wasn't expecting the subbase response to be reference level 😅 but I was happy for a cheap pair of speakers. They still work!
hey I am looking to get some new speakers and I'd like to go on the high end. My motherboard comes with alc1200 audio does the audio chip on the motherboard matter? And what if you use a amp?
If you use a speaker that supports USB-C input, then your sound card does not matter. I reccomend USB-C speakers to most people since that removes the potential of cable interference. If you're interested in high-end stuff, check out my video on the new ADAM Audio D3V. I compare them against some really solid options.

What's the best fully Wireless budget 2.1 Bluetooth Speakers with No Distortion?
Hi. I'm looking for a fully wireless 2.1 Bluetooth speaker system for a desktop PC, friendly budget, that doesn’t require any adapters. The speakers should provide minimal distortion, ideally none at all, even at higher volumes.
Can anyone suggest systems that meet this criteria? Would love to hear your experiences with good options available this year!
Just so I can understand... you are looking for wireless why? What about power cables? What about speaker cable between the speakers?
@@Jasper_Tech Hi, Jasper. Want to avoid cables and amps/adaptors but same time quality sound.
hello, I have presonus 3.5 and i am consindering new and bigger ones for living room, do u know anything about the VULKKANO A5 ARC Active Speaker with 5.25 Inch Woofer? I would like to know your opinion.
Hmmm - I sadly do not know about this speaker
I need one that is 3.5mm what do you recommend? It will connect to my monitor.
What is your budget? The creative pebble are a solid cheap option that has a 3.5mm input.

Idk.
Do you need other devices to add when buying Kanto speakers or it is stand alone can plug automatically on desktop/laptop?
It’s standalone! All you need to do is plug it in and connect an audio source (can even be Bluetooth).
@@Jasper_Tech Thank you. I truly appreciate your detailed reply.
I'm hesitant to get more of their stuff just for that.
this was a great, honest review of these speakers. i really appreciate this!
Would you consider the dayton audio m4? seems like a quality lesser known option
How do you find the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 for $116? It goes for over $200 everywhere I look.
Are you in the US? If so, I see it form$115 right now:

The Audioengine A5:

@@Jasper_Tech Choosing between Kanto Ora and Kanto yu6 for desktop using which one had better sound?
What about the swans d100?
No Edifier?Why?
I just ran out of $$ for this video 😞
Will try to include them in a future one!
@@Jasper_Tech Edifiers are the go to option for a lot of audio set ups. Its an amazing price to performance brand.
Would have been great to include the Pioneer DM40 BT , they sound pretty decent.
The room I have is barely 10 square meters and I am looking for nice 2.1 system. Got like 500-600 Euro to spend and I really cant decide. What would you recommend me? They are supposed to be used for overall use for PC and TV.
Second this, i love to have a dedicated subwoofer although my budget is slightly less
If they’re going to be used with a TV, I think a great option is the new Kanto REN because it has an HDMI port and ARC/CEC. I’m working on a review for it now and I’m very impressed. It has a sub out, but I think many people will find it’s not necessary.
amzn.to/48FqJtC
Otherwise, the ORA4 plus a Sub8 is a really nice combo, but just bear in mind it may be tough to connect it to your TV (no HMDI or optical).
@@Jasper_Tech thanks
@@Jasper_Tech oh Kanto Ren are speakers there is no sub with them. What I see here where I live from offered brands are Edifier, Polk, Q Acoustics, Klipsch, Bowers and Wilkins and Denon
Lovely video pal! Going to pick myself up some Creative Gigawork speakers. Would love to see a video where you go over computer mice!
I disagree with the not getting the pebbles with the subwoofer . I have the V2's + subwoofer and the SB makes a big difference especially once I tuned it with APO Equalizer. I love bass and this combo gives me enough.
whats real is that they never hesitant to do negative things, and really thinks alot whenever its abt correct thing
Why can't we have 2 front speakers that each has a dedicated tweeter, excellent midrange in the middle and the bottom speaker be a low to midrange? If i need more base, which i likely will not, i could add that later - my motherboard has an output for that. thanks
looking for a 'simple' sound solution that would let me hear dialog in shows i watch on my PC.
I also can't find a single 'active' center channel. I really don't want to use a DAC. Thanks again
Hmmm - I’d check out what Klipsch has to offer. The R-40PM is a good example, depending on your budget.

No audioengine?
Nice speakers! Did you ever try the Audioengine HD3? They're great!
I’ve never used them, but heard great things! Will have to check them out 👍
I got some Edifier R980T, they may not be the greatest, but for 70Euro they do a really good job.
Thank you for the great video.Between KANTO YU4 and ORA, does YU4 have better sound? Or is there not much difference?KANTO ORA is not sold in Japan.
I also want to buy Kanto Ora in Japan. Any idea when we can?
I’m told that shop.kanjitsu.com/ will carry the ORA in Japan before end of year. 👍
How would Kanto YU2 compare to Swans OS-10 in terms of sound quality, especially mids and highs since I plan to add a sub?
They are 5+ years old now (already replaced the power brick)
Seems to be a common fault after a long time of use !
Bose companion 2 series III..?
Agreed! Despite the current "Bose stinks" knee jerk response from so many people the Companion is a heck of a speaker. Got mine on sale for $95.00 USD (for the pair) and love them.
Do you have any input on KEF LSX 2 LTS? I keep seeing those all over the place but not sure if its worth the heavy price tag.
I have a pair! They sound phenomenal, however, their connectivity has been a bit hit or miss lately. I’d check out The Fives to see if they suit your needs.
@@Jasper_Tech I already pulled the trigger with kube 8. perfect for my desktop. what connection issue were you having?
Thoughts on Adam T5V?
They are excellent! I may do a video featuring them in the future.

@@Jasper_Tech do you have personal experience with them?
@helloyu6270 - yes, one of my good friends has a set of them.
@@Jasper_Tech how do they work for daily listening? Are they fatiguing at all or are there any better alternatives at the price?
@helloyu6270 can you tell me more about what you’ll be using them for? Mostly audio production? Casual listening? A mixture? Will you be using them just at a desk, or do you also want to be able fill a room? And finally, what would you say are the most important factors? I’m thinking things like size, neutral sound response, aesthetics, not fatiguing, bass response, etc.
Very informative and to the point man, greatly appreciated.
Great review for most of us that aren't looking to spend too much!
Thanks man, really useful video
Would you recommend any of these for TV use? Would they have decent output for a “medium” room? Speaking generally obviously
Lol no... Get a soundbar
thanks for the video review man! just what I was looking for
you seem to be a good person to ask. i current have edifier 1280db's and they are.. okay. on the other hand i have a pair of beyerdynamic dt990 and i love how they sound. the edifier have 2 "problems" they sound flat and dampend compare to the beyer headphones and they are very sensetiv to positon. meaning, they dont throw a very wide cone so to speak, they dont fill the room. so what iam looking for, is a pair of speaker, that have the same or similar sound profile as the dt990 but a wide cone then the edifiers.. speakers that dont need to be perfectly centered towars you in order to sound right.. any suggestions?
theres also the klipsch which all have USB (r40-pm, r50-pm, fives), elac debut connex has USB and toslink (i use this on my desk)
Great call out! I just released another video that covered the R-40PM and The Fives. 👍👍
@@Jasper_Tech eventually went for the Elac. Both great with my PC using USB and toslink. Might get a bigger one like the upcoming Kanto Ren or the Klipsch K50PM eventually.
Great video! I got the Edifier S880DB Hi-Res a while back for less than $200 and they sound amazing for audio production.
Excellent deal!
out of the eris 3.5 and gigworks t40 which would just be the better option for just casual gaming / shows / music listening
Big thanks for your work 😊
What would be your choice about sound quality between Yu4 and Ora ? (no space restriction) (if they were the same price) thank you 🙏
I'd probably go with the YU4, but its really close.
This is a perfect video for this topic. You are a very good speaker and easy to listen to. Good job and thank you.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
That Kanto Ora waveguide and woofer configuration looks HIGHLY remniscent of the JBL 3 series. Also is size the reason Jamo s80x series were not mentioned? There's a powered one I haven't tried yet
Nice to see the Swans! I've actually had them for like half a year now and they;re absolutely amazing. I wouldn't call the bass they produce "impressive", but it's the only non-positive thing I could say about them.
creative pebble with subwoofer on my 80 cm desk are amazing, sound good, can play loud, be carefully, at very loud volume bass can't keep up.
Great Video! Thanks a lot from Europe
KEF LSX?
I have two sets of Creative Gigaworks T40 series 2 and two sets of Presonus Eris E3.5 they are both great speakers , I use the Gigaworks T40 for movies and gaming and the Presonus Eris for music
Another to check out if on a super budget is the Edifier R12U. I have them and they are super small, 2.25" woofer. They are USB powered and I use them when traveling with the laptop. Surprisingly they image really well and sound very full. They have no low bass but that is expected for something so small.
Kanto Ora or Vanatoo Transparent Zero Plus?
Reallllly great vid man! This was super helpful! Thank you!
So glad you found it helpful! 👌
Keep an eye out for the new Kanto Ora 4s, previewed at CES 2024 and hopefully releasing later this year. The same as the Ora but with a bigger 4' dome and slightly revised and updated features.
They said it will be available for april 2024, but still waiting for them 😱😭 😁

I'm guessing you are talking about the ones you have tried, but I'd add the Edifier MR4 for that budget range. Really good for the price.
Can't be beat for the price to performance ratio and I own much more expensive gear, I recommend the MR4s to anyone wanting desktop speakers
