    Looking at buying a Lightning this year. Really enjoying your videos but hope you aren’t hand holding your phone to grab videos of the countryside while you are driving. Just subscribed.😊

    That bridge in St. Louis was really cool Dave. You must have a ton of frequent flyer miles going from South Carolina to Wyoming. Thanks for letting us tag along. Drive safe.

    Actually, Jefferson City is the capital of Misery. Geographically, Columbia probably should be, but it’s not…

    Lot of good info on the Lightening road trips in what seems pretty good CCS network access. Look forward to the EV charging void road trip results on how that all pans out Dave!

    Nice video. I certainly appreciate you showing how to use the map on sync 4A. I don't travel just use my truck locally and only charge at home, so not familiar at all using the map and finding chargers.

    Charge at the Chargepoint in Wellington CO (Out of Spec Kyles favorite charger) then take 287 to Laramie and on to Saratoga, should be under 170 mi.

      Sounds good but we couldn’t get more than 150 miles of range when very cold

    I am interested in the cost of the charging along your trip. What is the average cost and miles you are getting per charge? Thanks, love your content.

    • @evdave528
      @evdave528  ปีที่แล้ว

      The cost varies widely depending on the state I’m in, I use electrify America You can check with them. We added average 93 kWh per charge at about 110 miles

    Hope you get some sleep tonight. Maybe you could measure cabin sound between all your cars. I think there is a disable meter that can do this. Safe travels.

    Dave have you tired to do it on your phone in the Ford Pass application and then you can pull it up in the Truck later?

  • @bowefamilyEV
    @bowefamilyEV ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you finding the most success with the 350kw chargers or have you been able to get the pull power from the 150kw chargers as well?

    • @evdave528
      @evdave528  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I get 155-165 kw and with 150 chargers 120-135

    Nice video Dave. Do you use the McDonald’s app on your iPhone? Good deals sometimes and you earn points for free food.

      @loriallen67 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evdave528 yes. I understand the need for level two for those who don’t charge at home. But if I’m out and I need charge it has to be some sort of unplanned thing happened and I need electrons FAST. So yes, 150kW and higher

    I don't understand y you don't just use alexa all the time for voice commands. Like yeah we get it the build in commands suck, but it is because your voice is being processed locally instead of the cloud. Hop in you Tesla and try to use voice commands in a dead zone, they won't work. At least ford gives you a backup in case you don't have reception.

    Those gauges at top of cluster H/C . Do they ever change?

    • @Michael_Corea
      @Michael_Corea ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Lightning in Edmonton, Alberta. The battery gauge will reduce if the temp is about -20C (-4F) and lower. The max power will also reduce on the far left gauge.
