No kidding. I’ve been hooked since the first time, but the first video I saw of the Lion Whisperer was the hyenas. I thought this guy (Kevin) was out of his mind, I mean, hyenas? Then came the lions, and I thought this man’s life isn’t going to end well. Quite the contrary. I went on a Lion Whisperer binge one afternoon. I was amazed. This is now my all time favorite TH-cam channel. The Best! It just couldn’t get any better.

Yes! Thanks. I'm new as on 1 month ago. I binge watch in the evenings. I have at times literally caught myself with my mouth open and jaw dropped, just staring. I'll never get over the first time I saw one of the Lions with his mouth open, rubbing his face against Kevin's face. I pray for Kevin and all the workers. May God richly bless each and everyone of them now and forever!

I too remember the National Geographic series "Lion Ranger" when Vayetse's best friend, Mufumu, died and Vayetse was so lonely so Kevin got Livy and Ginny to live with him. I fell in love with Vayetse and he has a special place in my heart ❤. Kevin's book " Part of the Pride" is a great read.

@@cgage_01 It was heartbreaking 💔 to see Mufumu’s dead body and Kevin and Vayetse’s reaction. I often wonder what Mufumu would have looked like as an adult.
If I remember correctly Mufumo was killed by a venomous snake likely suspects is either the Egyptian Spitting Cobra or the Black Mamba since those snakes are indigenous to Africa.
@@alistairdiren5790 Yes, you are right. Kevin said he thought a puff adder has killed him. I don’t think it was a snake because the other lions ate him and they didn’t get sick.

I read your book long ago and I’m glad that you retold your story to the those who are new to the channel. I hope others who have lions or other animals in captivity take note and make changes so their animals can have time out of cages and enclosures and walk, fly or jump out in the wild. I've adored Kevin since I watched Growing Up Hyena on Animal Planet years and years ago. He is such an amazing person and his relationship with the lions, hyenas and other beautiful creatures is such a lovely thing to see. Through Kevin and his foundation I’ve come to live enjoy lions more than before. The same could be said of the Hyenas and Black Leopards. But the Lions are truly majestic and the King of the Plains!

What would life be without Vayetse, Livy and Ginny! Love to see them doing so well! Thanks for the history - my mom grew up in Orange Grove :) And I vaguely remember visiting the Lion Park in Joburg as a kid....If I had known then what I know now...Thanks for being such an ambassador for and champion of these wonderful cats and opening our eyes as to what lions in captivity go through.
Livy and Ginny are so well behaved now, it's funny to look back and see just how naughty they were.
I love the Terrific Trio! Vayetse, Ginny & Livy are wonderful lions. They were meant to be together. They look great for their age!💕🦁🦁🦁💕 Kevin, I'm very grateful that you've committed to these lions, hyenas & leopards. You've provided a very good quality of life for them. And your message about the plight of lions, captive and wild, has changed my perspective. Before, I would have gone to one of those places that do cub petting. Now that I know what happens to them, I will never do it, I will not support the misery of lions. I support your efforts to end can hunting! It's a worthy cause. Hearing the whole story was actually very moving. It's so valuable finding your path to something you really love doing, where you can on the same amount give and receive love and care and happiness... Just being able to make a difference in the world is so rare today. And no doubt we fell in love with these lions very quickly :)

For the past few years, I've been watching Kevin and his lions, and I can say not only does his work help me appreciate the life of lions, but it has helped me love all wildlife in general. He was so lucky to have you and get these two lovely ladies Ginny and Livy as his life mates. He’s such a gorgeous guy. He’s aging so beautifully with all that black mixing with his awesome blonde Surfer mane.

I am SO grateful that you give at least these lions a comfortable, protected life - my heart weeps for the animals that many of we humans continue to treat with so much disrespect and even cruelty. I cannot understand it, but it is a joy to see these animals out in the sun, in the grass and land that suits them so well. Thank you for all your efforts on their behalf, redeeming our own species just a tiny bit. It is glorious to watch such beauty.
