Ooh, I remember this Omnath deck. At least this time it's not beating on completely casual decks, but it still feels like it's too strong for the table.
big mana ramp strategies just feel like a more casual-acceptable kind of combo deck, which is ironic given that they're often harder to interact with once they've got going. feels kinda one-trick-pony to me, but i guess its just not my style of play
It's really hard to say a deck is too powerful for the table when it wins on T11... if I'm in a game that goes 11 turns we are all overjoyed when someone finally ends the agony.
Simon won by the grace of Muddstah. You could have wiped him out with commander damage very early on, but attacked Sram instead. All good, but maybe the Eldrazi titans wouldn’t have stomped that day. Good game!
That game showed pretty well that green and black are in a good position but monowhite struggles alot esp after a (yes one is mostly enough) boardwipe. And sram is on of the better options to have gas!
I always like to see how other people build commanders I also play. My omnath deck is mainly mana dorks with stuff like overwhelming stampede to make them huge with omnath's stats
My Omnath deck uses the Maze of Ith combo to make infinite mana, and Nylea Keen-Eyed to get all the creatures to hand, Yeva to give them Flash, Ashaya to make them lands so Wakeroot Elementat can give them haste. Elvish Reclaimer then sacrifices MultaniYAvatar which lets me bounce Kogla to hand repeatedly to recast letting him fight the world. Once the world is dead Shaman of Forgotten Ways wins with his Biorhythm. The game is over before we even move to combat damage :)
Why didn't Simon float all his mana in response to the Sudden Spoiling at 10:00? You can still activate mana abilities in response to cards with Split Second. It would have saved his Omnath (unless Nick wanted to pay like ~20 life) and he'd have kept all that mana for his Genesis Wave on his next turn.
@@samuelrobinson4638 you're correct in that mana abilities don't use the stack, but I was referring to split-second. Split second is not interactable once it's played - it can be cast in response to other things happening in the game, but the trigger with split-second needs to resolve first, after which the original stack would resolve. So you could activate mana abilities as split-second is resolving, but not afterwards as the ability would no longer exist. "As long as this spell is on the stack, players can't cast other spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities"
@Muddstah. You should try out a demon tribal deck with Villis, and big mana as a 2nd focus. It's fun, and (at least in my pods) it's rediculous how strong and reslient the deck is, even with a lot of negative effects from demons.
Unfortunate to see that there weren't really any board wipe interactions. A lot of single target, as well as the Demon of Dark Schemes, but not really any way to stop a giant board
I wonder if this sram's mana curve is too high, I run a crap ton of 1 or 0 mana equipment that just give +1/+1 or smth simply to cycle through the deck and I didn't see that with this sram deck
I am specifically interested in purchasing the coin as a gift for a friend, i dont particularly need/want the playmat and other stuff. Is there any way to go about that?

Bears !!!!! These noble beasts are to pure and wholesome and warm for this cold broken world !
That was a seriously interactive game. Great job all of y’all
that was super enjoyable to watch! Nicks build of Vilis was cool
What a dramatic game, very fun. Love seeing Strands of Night see play. It's been a favorite of mine for quite a while.
Been watching you for around four years now. Very excited to get done merch from you. Love the design!

This is what happens when nobody runs anti-ramp strategies.
Yea playing with a gaes cradle is cringe. Paid to win
I disagree, the table first focused Malcom then went on to shut down Nick, while the green deck was left ramping.

All hail the original jelly bean!
Still waiting for the ultimate, 5-color Omnath
It’s been forever. I think we deserve the 5-color jelly bean.
Omnath went off this game. Seemed like nothing could stop it!
It was just a G wave. Any deck can win with it.
Wow, this game feels like a lifetime ago 😅 I do love me that Vilis though
Just finished the last game and bam another one
gotta love me some mono black decks :3
thats for that strands of night, just ordered one

NEW VILLIS GAME JUST DROPPED LETS GOOO IM BUILDING THIS COMMANDERRR!
I HOPE IT WINSSSSS
Edit: aww... well at least it didn't get taken out early.
Hey! 3 commanders i owned and plan to build around in one game! Yay
Oh, wrong omnath....

Sudden spoiling makes creatures 0/2 with no abilities
@@Opreich the op is responding to sudden spoiling, creating a new stack in which the mana ability occurs prior to the casting of sudden spoiling

Man I'd love to see the complete Omnath decklist
Good lord. I think y'all had enough removal. That was one Heck of a game.
Unfortunate to see that there weren't really any board wipe interactions. A lot of single target, as well as the Demon of Dark Schemes, but not really any way to stop a giant board
Decklist?
Is the coin only with the playmat? I didn’t see it in the add on tier.
Yep, we didn't get a ton in this first run. There will be more in the future via Patreon.
@@MTGMuddstah thanks, I’ll keep an eye out.
This version of Omnath is my favourite

The Power of Green!
Deck lists?
I'm just here for the bears.

Leftover add ons will be available through Patreon at a later date. I’ll make an announcement when they become available.
@@MTGMuddstah awesome, thanks!
who is the tentacle-boi on the playmat? somehow it feels like I should know who that is, but I can't for the life of me make it out.
It's Orvar as an alternate art from Alter Sleeves.
@@MTGMuddstah oooh Orvar of course! completely forgot about that one. thx for the reply, and the mat looks amazing
What a win by Simon.
Vilis FTW
I wanted to see Ayula tear off some faces. Maybe next time...
Simon was playing mono green staple tribal. Big plays this game, but man...i rly despise Cradle and Nykthos.
As impressive as his deck is, I am not the biggest fan of Craterhoof behemoth wins, seems too easy
It was turn 11. Game's gotta end sometime.
@@admanios I never said the game didn't have to end, I just don't like it as a win condition it's not that interesting
Cradle zzzzzzzzz
First
What a great fucking Game
