      I have some PSA products and love the brand. Are they perfect? Hell no. But everyone gets it wrong. I like them because they are innovating, putting out awesome clones and their whole shtick is getting the guns to the people.
      Folks love to shit on them for their qc issues but look at the big brands. They have similar issues and area pain in the ass about fixing them. Hell, Sig basically uses its customer base for T&E and is like "oh well... Buy next gen"😂

    I really like 2 things in this video. First is that you straightened out the details I respect that. Not all people will do that especially in a video that they are making. Second is that psa didn’t try to blame you for the problems and they fixed it in a timely manner. Respect them for that. I have some of their stuff and haven’t had issues yet and I’m happy so far. I haven’t sent much of this expensive stuff down range yet so time will tell.

      Now the big question I have is if this is the kind of service everybody can expect to have from PSA when they have issues or if this is just a case of influencer treatment. Regardless, it looks like they found the cause of the problem and should update their QA process in the future so we wouldn't need to reach out to them in the first place.

    • @rustbucket9318
      @rustbucket9318 ปีที่แล้ว +63

      @@austindecker7643Sub MOA is Sub MOA no matter the distance. Target just gets larger the further out you go. At 100 yards it is 1 inch. At 1000 yards it is 10 inches. Tools, ammo and ability are the factors at distance.

    • @LIGHTNING278TH
      @LIGHTNING278TH ปีที่แล้ว +10

      That's not too different than what issued M110s are getting. Granted the ones I know of were shooting worse and needed a refurb but still.

    • @tsoliot5913
      @tsoliot5913 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @austindecker7643 bro... MOA is a ratio measurement. It is the same regardless of distance. That's the point of it.
      If your groups increase above the ratio after 200 yards, the issue is you. Mechanically nothing is different between 10 yards and 1000.

    • @EDCandLace
      @EDCandLace ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Austin i think you are confused as to how moa works. 1 moa is 1 moa be it at 10 yards or 10,000 yards. So if someone says they are shooting sub minute at 500 yards that means they are shooting sub 5 inch groups at 500 yards. Moa and mils is simply a unit of measure of angle.

      S&W’s M&P -10 base model costs $1250 and is known for 5R pencil barrel that shoots sub-MOA group. On a lucky day, 1/2 moa as well. So his expectation for the rifle named as M110 is not too much. The original M110 shoots 1/2 moa when it’s new.
      I would re-barrel it with criterion or just get a M&P-10.

      I agree. I've had 3 "Patriot Ordnance Factory" .308's. 2 Way back in 2008/09 when they first came out. Those were garbage. They wouldn't consistently pick a round up out of the magazine. We had a 3rd POF .308 at the range and it ran fine with the same mags. I sent them back for a refund, and POF admitted that the lower receivers were machined incorrectly and the pmags weren't sitting up high enough for the bolt to pick up a round. Fast forward to 2020, and I purchased a brand new POF revolution with the piston. I run Yankee Hill Phantom suppressor (I know, high back pressure) and I called POF ahead of time to ask if the gun would work with my cans. They said yes, but I would have to send my gun to them along with the suppressor to be tuned. They advised me to shoot a few hundred rounds to break it in before I sent it to them. I got 6 inch groups with most ammo, and 4 inch groups with match. Garbage. When I got it back, they told me they failed to tighten the hand guard screws where the hand guard goes back over the upper reciever. I was told that "just like buying a new vehicle, it is your responsibility to tighten the screws". I'm like really? WTF???? on a $2700 rifle????? I took it back out and it went to 2 inch groups at 100 yards with match ammo. I went to the store I bought it from, and they had me take it to a local gunsmith/benchrest shooter who got the same results as me. POF had sent me test targets claiming 1/2 Moa with cheap Russian steal cased ammo. I told them they were lying, and I would bet a $10k bill that I could drive to Arizona and they couldn't make it do that in front of me. They wouldn't take the bet. I told them I would take my 700 bolt gun that shoots 3/8 moa to prove to them I could pull a trigger. I got a lecture on how shooting semi auto rifles required a special "Knack" . I told them BS, my SCAR 17 shoots 1/2 moa. Now, I never thought in a million years I would be a PSA fan, but I am. For far less money, I have gotten better results from PSA tha POF. The run just fine, they are accurate to very accurate. PSA sells a ready supply of spare parts so I can stockpile them. I hope PSA continues to innovate and crush it. I would love it if they would build a SCAR 17 clone in .308.

    I just took mine to the range today. It ran perfectly. And it was extremely accurate. With two different hand loads I had left over from another AR10 that I got rid of. I have the billet version in 6.5 Creedmoor. I didn’t even have to adjust the gas block. What was really crazy was one load was with a 130 gr bullet the other a 140 gr. Different powders. No change in impact. Shot about the same.

    Diagnosing a problem is a process of elimination. It's easy to jump to a conclusion, and when you're making a video you don't really have the tools and the time to go through the process so jumping to a conclusion is even easier. You came back and made the corrections to your error, so fair enough then, and a mistake corrected is no longer a mistake. You know enough about ARs that perhaps in the future, when you run across a problem, you could make a video about the process of figuring out the problem. Even when you run into territory where you don't know, you can demonstrate to your viewers how easy it is to access the tremendous volumes of information available to learn from and continue your diagnosis. Lots of folks could benefit from that experience.

Granted I haven't put a lot of rounds through the 6.5 CM one yet but they both have worked flawlessly for me as well as shot pretty well. I've got a couple PSA AR 15s also and have no complaints about them either. I know some people bash PSA because they are inexpensive but for me they shoot every time I pull the trigger and they shoot pretty well so I'll keep buying them and spend the money I save on ammo or other stuff. Shooting outdoors is a completely different matter since there now are crosswinds and heat mirage to deal with. With handloads and shooting indoors my AM10 shoots 1 MOA all day long, it's a different matter outdoors.

    I have one of the rifles from the OEM who makes them for PSA(they also make most of the AK accessories and AR upper lower handguards). They typically like to run lancer/metal mags. The PMAGS with the thicker lips on the mag cause bolt drag/feeding issues. Their design pre dated the PMAG. They might of changed the mag latch location a little to compensate. I've heard more recently they have been functioning better with PMAGS.

    All the metal mags have stamped feed lips, that need polishing on the inner lip, they are damn sharp and cut into the brass. P mags obviously don’t have this problem, but can. Try some 400 grit or 600 , you’ll be amazed the difference, prove it to yourself! PS I dig the videos keep them coming, while you can P.s.s. C products are Dura Mag, and I have fabulous luck with those.

    They are definitely treating you better than they treated me. My dagger was gone for over 3 weeks

      Not a super quick turnaround, but far from slow.

      Why do you even care? lol.. I'm sure you have a safe full of other guns just like the rest of us.
      Nitpicking about a 1 week vs 3 week return is just silly to me.

    Great video! I’m glad they are performing better. I may pick one up down the road. I’m currently wanting to buy their H&R M16A1 or XM16E1 once one is available. But May pick up the Sabre 10 in .308

    So many bad reviews on the gas system! Glad their customer service is fast and send back a functioning rifle. Have had other brand firearms sent back with internal parts change and still the same malfunctions or issues such as front sight height on pistol being too high.

    I suppose you added the raptor tail in preparation for the VTX Impact 4000. I look forward to that video.

    I ordered the .308 model on 9/8. Haven't seen it shipped, which makes me think they are building it or checking to make sure it's to spec after some recent issues. Either way, I'll have to put it through its paces.

    VERY happy to see how the PS110's are behaving.
    I am interested in the SH4j... But one thing their website really sucks at.... what is the difference in the VPR and VHR reticles?

    I wish these had a hammer forged barrel like their other Sabre rifles, but I guess these are more for if you just want an M110 like rifle. I don’t know, I want one, in 308, but I think I will wait a little longer to see if they make any improvements with them.

    Those Larue tactical mags work great in my Seekins Precision sp10 in 6.5 creedmoor! My sample size is only 4 but they have been flawless, however my Magpul 308 mags have also been great.

    For my Dad's PSA 308 - 168 grain Sig Sauer does stellar at 100 yards and in my Aero M5 - 168 grain Federal does amazing at 100 yards. 175 grain for both of us does poorly by comparison.

    D@H are a good magazine. Mmm brownells have em for 21 dollars a mag. I might buy a couple.
    Dam there is a gun show going on this weekend. I specifically stayed away. Because if I saw a 6.5 creedmoor one, I'd probably buy it.
