At last; won't need add-ons to make it feel like you're not alone in the cockpit. I think too the weights etc. will be so open to being modded by airline and freight add ons which would add more to it without being essential; and love that pop up that shows all your buttons; so useful till you get used to what you put where.
There are a lot of MSFS2020 videos coming out now. Every time I see one i get more excited about what we're getting in the new sim. Every single time I watch a vid I am more awestruck with how good it is. Not only have MS and their partner taken the sim back under their control, they've moved the technology forward a zillion steps. This surely puts the pressure on the third party developers like PMDG and ORBX, who now have to either give up (which I dont think they'll do) or come out with new products (or updates to their existing products) that take the technology even further than MSFS have and make their products even MORE stunning. This all makes life better for those of us who are stuck inside thanks to the Corona Virus and are fighting to stave off boredom.
I have seen a number of video producers including yourself reach up and grab from that menu, very nice to see a comprehensive (sort of) explanation of what it is for and how it works. Looks to be very useful. Thanks! :)
It's clear in all prior flight sims that the focus was on the world and the flying, which is fair enough, but i'm glad someone FINALLY had time to make good menus that enable people to actually use the sim.

I love how the simulator offers simple ui options both for newer players or non serious players but also lets the more advanced players play the game more realistically
Would definitely like to see the checklist assist! Checklists are kind of a pain when you're running it down yourself, but if the AI could read it off and check it as you do the procedures that'd be awesome!
That image with all the buttons labelled is really handy. More than once I've bound something I don't use much in DCS, looked up the control settings and said "well which button's that then?"
I see that you can see your fps from within the sim in that vfr map, that's really useful since you won't have to have anything else measuring the fps when experimenting for optimal settings. (as a sidenote to why I'm ecstatic to see this is because I find external programs measuring my fps to be too powerhungry, msi afterburner for example gets my fps down by 5-8 depending on the game)
I think that a real pilot to a Cessna or something should be reviewing Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is the first simulator I have seen with the shaking mechanics like in real life where you can’t fly straight. Finally it’s here and it’s amazing. I tried to fly a Ultra Light plane which was a Aeroprakt A32 and you can’t fly straight. That is the thing this simulator NAILED. I have X-Plane 11 as my simulator for now and I can fly straight but for me it’s not accurate. The Aeroprakt I fly is the same size as the CTLS and I’m so exited to try the CTLS out as I can see if they nailed the aerodynamics of a Ultalighter out. I hope it’s worth checking out. I’m so excited!

It's weird seeing my home of Utah in games. It's not usually a popular destination and seeing mountains that I recognize is even weirder. I thought driving through Utah in American Truck Sim was weird but this might just be even more strange.
I wonder...If you had a touch monitor on the side, could you undock the menus and slide them over to the touch monitor and navigate them with just your fingers? That would save time of dragging your mouse around trying to find the pointer and line it up to click the correct point.

Very tantalizing video - I need to know so much more! For instance, I would like to know about the level of AI control of the aircraft. Can it really do everything? Will it manage take-off and landing as well as flight? So, could I get the plane to fly an entire flight while I get busy with the camera system taking lots of gorgeous shots and videos? Is it easy to set up a basic flight plan for the AI to follow? I would really appreciate a video on this.

Brand new, innovative and ANNOYING. Every preview I've watched I wondered if there was a way to completely get rid of it and make it pop up using a good old right-click. Considering that I move the mouse 90% of the time to interact with the cockpit, that white thing that shows up on the top is distracting and breaks the immersion completely.
Can you turn your plane icon off in the VFR map so that it functions more like a real map? Would be nice to use that instead of having a map app open on another screen.
Do the AI ground crew move? It's a little weird to have the lady waiting to give me push back. She should at least go sit down or something while she waits for me.

Can you exit the flight,make graphic changes and then resume flight? How about real world traffic? AI traffic? There hasn’t been much said about this so far. When I run MSFS2020 I now do not have any Tool bars. I do not now see the Tool Bar menu that use to be at the top if the screen. I recently reinstalled my PC and MSfs2020 and now I have no menus, any thoughts, thanks 🙂

It's a sim, and it has real time, so yes, Obviously you can change to not real time, but I believe it still is 1:1. Don't know if there is a speed up botton though
you can set what time you want to fly in or you can set the real world time but each minute that goes by in the simulator will be 60 seconds long (same as IRL) so if you were to do a flight which IRL would take 3hrs then in the simulator it will take 3hrs and the time would go up exactly the same (I know what I am trying to say if it doesn't make sense I apologise)
@@happygamer4932 yeah people will tend to edit there videos down to the most interesting parts e.g Takeoff, climb out, descent and landing, no body really wants to just watch the cruise of the flight so they will edit it down

Don’t hate me but I’m planning on getting this sim for Xbox bc I don’t have a PC. I used to run X Plane on my Mac but that was a long time ago. Is there any info out there on how different the sim is going to be for console? In other words how it’s going to play vs the PC and how many of the features will still be the same. I haven’t been able to find much info.

Exactly my thought! I would love to chill and let the AI fly the aircraft while I monitor and manage ATC as a FO enjoing the view!

A lot of non-playable planes are static models, otherwise live traffic would have an A320 for all commercial flights.

Yep they should’ve changed it so it only appears when you hit a key or move the mouse all the way to the top.

My Basic Controls just says No Entries. Do you have to set it up somehow?
