Yes the 4:04 argument about the life span is highly likely true. Those 10 phones will not last if they are used 24/7 for mining, but that 3900X can last years (provided it is setup correctly). The batteries in those phones getting charged all the time, it will be an issue which can result fire hazard. EDIT: using just different chipset (like ARM vs Ryzen) is not bad idea, but using phones brings in some unwanted things. If you would find out some better hardware with the wanted chipset with proper cooling and no fire hazards, it could be good idea, ARM has quite power efficient chips)
Video titled I "Solved" Samsungs Swelling Battery Problem! (Batteryless Phone) teaches how to remove the battery. Works for any cell and no fire risk, lithium fires spew dangerous poison too.
you can look for ones with bypass charging. most lenovo tablets and phones have this feature. older lenovos also have a setting to not charge above 60%. you can also use chargers that have overcharge protection.
Good video. I agree with u with the budget. I buy a phone or two a week on eBay for 25$ each. Used of course. Now am up to 13 phones. Doing around 60 mh. Hoping to get to 100mh soon.
One word to make it viable if you can afford, Solar. I run my 4 phones on solar through car usb chargers. I fortunately have enough battery power to run a laptop 2 raspberry pi's and a Ryzen 7 pc so it literally costs me zero in upkeep unless I have more than 2 days with no sun, which tends to happen quite often in New Zealand. I tend to turn the PC off at that point, I get around 26mhz but don't run all cores only 10 on the CPU all the time because of RDP becomes nearly impossible to use as no screen.
I had 3 Ryzen 9 CPU computers that were mining on rent with Monero Ocean and pulled them off to run SRBMiner Multi. 1 3950x hashing at 46.82 MHs and the two 3900Xs are are running 35.36 and 29.54 MHs. Agreed that the cell phone is the better long term play in regards to power consumption. Now debating whether I want to spend a bit more and buy OrangePi 5s, or get a lot of 64 bit 8 core phones.
Go solar then cpu mine verus otherwise you nailed it plus cpu prices will go up if sellers see a demand jump. Look at this video on the Battery Delete idea, video title I "Solved" Samsungs Swelling Battery Problem! (Batteryless Phone) teaches how to remove the battery by GreatScott! Lil more money but eliminates fire risk. Miners need smoke detectors in homes regardless!
Say i bought 10 good used phones off ebay and mine on them full time for a month. Then i resell the phones back on ebay at the used price. Aiming to have to pay nothing but electricity cost in the end
Ryzen 3900X are slightly more cheaper on Aliexpress but it's not worthy even for mining XMR unless you can pay the electricity out of your pocket and HODL the coins until better days 😬
If you mean by HODL to wait for price appreciation, then you could aswell skip the whole mining thing, and simply use that same money buying the coin directly from exchange. Then all the money is "in" for price appreciation.

I have a office with free electricity. And 8 servers with duel cpus. I think I’m going to give this a try. I can take a few customers and put them on the same server. I will report back by Monday. It’s going to burn a lot of power. But it’s free and they already use the power when plugged in. Let’s see what we can do
Be realistic... this is like paying someone to help you find pennies on the street. These coins don't last, a new one will be out in 3 months. You can play around and have fun, but that's all it should be.

Hey Brandon! Good to see your videos again!
Orange Pi 5 . Little bit more money than a phone, same wattage, but a couple more Mh. and you can pivot and mine any CPU minable coin.
I need more verus videos brandoncoin!

In my opinion Verus has a future and a lot of potential
I’m going in on verus 😊
Puppers spotted!! Plus, cell phones don't take up a lot of space.
JELLY!💥
you got them confused with the simple math lol. if they understood this they won't be saying cpu is better than phone on verus
you're right. fun video. :) ...but u need a gpu.. the video out on the board isn't gonna work, right? so gpu, too.
cpu build $500 105watt 25mh or 8 phones $400 40watt 28+ mh it seems like no matter what phones always win $/mh
2022-2023 most profitable years ever no more S1000 dollar electric bill just work and spend.
If you include all parts for a pc include all parts for phone mining a charging station 20-60$ and toss in x2 120mm fan for another 20$ keep it fair 😁

Thank you for the update 😊
I'm stacking Ergo, Ironfish, & Zil right now 3x mining
Don't forget to stake your Zil.
Does Samsung j7 max(Helio p20) can mine this coin ?
Am using a tcl old phone and am getting around 4 megahash
Have anyone did any Verus mining with older CPU like Intel Xeon processor??
E3 1240 hitting 7.5 mhs , it’s a $25 cpu :)
@@paladdin1500 Just wonder how much Intel E5 2670 V3 2.30Ghz server processor can hit?
i have a dual e5 2660 v4 (14 cores 28 threads 2.4GHz per processor) setup, around 32Mh/s on Verus. not very efficient compared to a 3950x.
@@Alvyrre still good for an old processor.
🔥🔥🔥🐙✌
3900 non x is an option as well
