I was wondering if the 135 wingbar evo would fit on a car that Thule recommends the 127 length? I presume that the lower slot has to be sufficiently inward.

This video is on another level. Who made this? Can I get in touch with your 3D artist? How is this done?? :)
The two strips that you cut with a scissors (both) front facing strips have blown off of my rack. I believe I installed them correctly and had to order new strips to replace it. Why would this happen and has anyone else experienced this issue?
We have only tested on the Haval H6 from 2021 and forward and that model uses integrated railing. We do not have an approved system for the earlier versions.
When they installed mine in the Thule shop, they placed the front bar right at the column B of my car ( the column between front and back doors ). And the rear one was cca 700mm to the back. You also want to take care it is not too far behind if your trunk door opens up high. Otherwise the roof box can damage your rear glass.
That depends on the car and what type of fitting you have on the car. For fixpoint and clamps around the edge of the roof you can only place the roof rack in one position and it is shown in the manual you get with the roof rack. For cars with flush rail and raised rail you can in most situations place the roof rack along the whole length of the rail. As the previous reply states the ideal position of the front rack is above the B pillar and then the second bar 70cm further back.
So that worked great to put them on, but we can't get them off now? Do we have to remove the lower strip to be able to move the foot? We can move the back clamp, but the feet won't move to give so it is stuck on the bars!!!
Hello, Untightening the system should work, but if you have any issues, we recommend to visit one of our dealers. They're always ready to assist where possible.
Hello C G! Thule Raised Rail Evo are compatible with Skoda Superb 2020. We recommend that you go to this link to see the recommended bar length as well: www2.thule.com/de-de/buyers-guide?c=roof+racks&q=4YsoBj4sL Have a great day!
The foot kit appears to grip around the rails, not in the grooves. My vehicle's front mounting point is where the rail's plastic raised portion is. How can the foot grip there, if the clamps wrap around the bar, as suggested here? These are the designated feet for my vehicle, however.
Hi! Please reach out to your local customer support team and they will be happy to assist you and answer your questions: support.thule.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new All the best, Thule
On raised rails we do not have a car specific recommendation since the foot will fit anywhere along the rail. Our recommendation is to place the first bar above the B-pillar of the car.
Hello. I am having a miserable time trying to attach the rear feet to my '14 Cc Crosstrek. The front worked fine. But when I tighten one foot on the rear bar, the foot on the other end raises. This did not happen on the front. I'm guessing this setup is not actually a good fit, despite the site recommending it. Thule, please advise.

Does the manufacturer allow to lubricate the EVO rubber strips for better slip and rubber protection? If "Yes" please recommend a suitable lubricant. :)
The movie shows an installation of a roof rack on a car with a raised railing. The product you refer to is for cars with a flush railing and there you need a car-specific kit also. Please use the guide on thule.com to find the correct parts for your specific car.
Good video, appreciate it. 2 things. Th e locks are sold separately so i spent time worried they weren't there. And if you could show separating the rubber strips and installing that would be helpful
The foot pack comes with locks and if they were missing from your package something was wrong there. At around 35 seconds into the video, we show the splitting of the rubber seal.
the inner foot clamp is pulled down the lead screw by the installation tool toward the side railing to hold the foot in place. This same lead screw pulls a steel adapter towards and down lower to the foot until the cross bar is held firmly between it and the top of the foot.

It means, grab them and give them a bit of a shake, to see if they are fixed properly. You should be shaking the entire car and not feeling any clunk or movement on the rails. I saw the guys in Thule shop doing it when they installed mine.
Yes, that's true since the foot pack is for cars with a raised rail and the length of the bar is car-width specific. You can however see what parts are required for your specific car using the guide on the roof rack section on thule.com. Hot tip for any roof rack fit question.
Thule, pronounced 'tool', likely because that seems a perfect description of members of staff. Having had difficulty obtaining roof bars, the nonsense I received in response to a simple query just beggars belief.
@@thule You keep that much track of people, but can write such drivel? You have too much time on your hands and should spend it improving your products. First of all, you want me to believe that you test to destruction an example of every single model of every single car made, so that you can decide whether to release a set of roof bars? Then, when you tell me that the rails on the Soul (which very likely are almost identical in every respect to the Niro, that you do supply) are too weak to take bars, but that you do make such bars for Kia to supply direct! Either your position that the rails are too weak is completely bogus, or you have no business supplying them to Kia. If it is merely that the load bearing is less, simply state that on your site and on the box. To take the attitude you do is reprehensible and impossible to defend.

That split section rubber insert is a joke. Not easy to insert. The older 1 piece version slipped in and out easily. The new one is lesser quality and not rigid enough to insert easily. Tip - Use some window cleaner fluid to lubricate it. Hopeless!
It was not that hard for me once i figured out the trick... insert the middle part first so it hooks the lip of the channel of the metal rail, and then press firmly the edge part.

Very clear, step-by-step directions. With minimal audible sounds to emphasize importance. Really great tutorial
So happy you found the tutorial helpful Nicholas! Thank you for your comment! Best regards, Thule
@@thule Not only that it's helpfully, but also it is not annoying. No useless loud music or special effects. Clear and clean and pleasant 👍🏻
Good to see a tutorial that makes sense for a change, well done
Clear instructions! Just followed these and had the feet and bars fitted in 45-60mins, and I was going cautious/extra slow!😂😂
Really annoying that Thule pay walled the lock cores. It should have just came with the bars already…why is it extra
Das ist mal echt schön übersichtlich gemacht. Bitte weiter so 👍

Very detailed instructions on how to install the railings. By the way is there a required torque settings when tightening the clamp?
Hello Michael! The torque tool will make a "clicking" sound when 4 Nm is achieved.

Is the "click" more like a soft rattle? Decent tutorial visually, but a bit too minimalist.
Also 70cm ~ 27.5in

We have only tested on the Haval H6 from 2021 and forward and that model uses integrated railing. We do not have an approved system for the earlier versions.
Good video but I didn't get those sounds when fitting. Can I get a partial refund?
