I'm not Christian but I love how Adam sings about his beliefs! Many people are afraid to express it, but how he puts it in his songs and literally devotes the whole song to God is amazing.

I've seen people questioning if this song is about God as in the Judeo-Christian one, and indeed it is. Adam Young said himself that it would be a crime if he didn't express his Christian faith in his music. He's a devout Christian and that is reflected in his music :)
Welcome to the family, sister! I've had those times where, I'd be listening to a song that I'd known before I made that decision to trust completely in Christ to save me, and, taking in the lyrics things clicked in my head as I made connections. If Christian radio stations played more songs like this I would so tune in. This dude's music doesn't feel nearly as generic, boring, or pushy about it's message. Anyone can listen to this and just vibe :)
They used to play this on my local Christian station quite regularly, but stopped playing it. I think someone (or a lot of someones) who did not understand the song called in and complained about why they were playing it, because it's not as literal and in your face with its lyrics as most Christian pop and electronic music (and lines like "blow your backbone to bits" probably confused them further lol). Makes me sad to think about that happening though :/
They still played Dreams and Disasters here and there though at least. Haven't listened to that station in probably 5 years or so, so they might not play it anymore, but hopefully.
