My favorite drummer when I was 12. Changed my life. He's Left handed, i never saw that before. Changed my drums around and been playing that way ever since. Ian is just Amazing.

Good to see them 'live' again. Simon Mcbride does an amazing job. I love his sound, speed, feeling and feel for what is to be played in the individual songs - a little bit of Ritchie, a little bit of Steve and a good part of Simon.
Fantastic guitarist. Morse is in a league of his own so it's not really fair to compare Simon to him. He stays much closer to originals than Steve. All in all he's more traditional sounding guitarist. I hear a lot of Gary Moore influence in his playing. Respect to the guy. Big shoes to fill and he did great.
Well, Morse is a legend. He has an identifiable style. It helps that we have been able to listen to him for years. Simon is a beast in the vein of Gary Moore and is very aggressive. I love his playing.

I’ve been to this gig last Sunday. Fabulous concert altogether. Extraordinary musicianship on behalf of all of the band members. Paice’s drumming, and Gillan’s vocals made my heart lose a few beats more than once!
For all those who are criticizing Gillan bear in mind that he is 76 years old and at that age he has the passion to sing. At that age you would need a crane to lift your polly. Don't Mind, but Gillan still rocks.

The guitar player is more a modern day guitar shred, he's in control of all the modern techniques and is a decent addition to the fame of Deep Purple, the other members of the band are just fantastic as always, thanks for sharing.
There is a lot of negative comments which make no sense. Besides McBride all of them are in their 70s, with Gillan at 76. And even at 76 he is hitting some of the high notes, and you can hear the special sound of his voice. Compare to Coverdale who is incapable of hitting any high notes at all. And even Freddie Mercury didn't hit all the high notes in the 80s, when he was in his late 30s. Also, criticizing the tone and style of playing of McBride is totally idiotic. He has his style and his tone, he is a professional and he's been doing this for years. Of course in Deep Purple he needs to play all the classic lines, what else. I think he does it great, being both faithful and adding some shredding here and there. In this genre it is nearly impossible to do something completely new and authentic, it's basically a hard rock/heavy metal mixture, it has seen literally hundreds of great players. And actually, Steve Morse has an injured hand since years, and his technical abilities have declined a lot over the years, sometimes it was hard to look at his struggles with fast passages. Everyone in the audience is extremely happy to see these guys holding on, and I think McBride is the best that has happened to them since years. He has great abilities, he obviously loves to play that music, he knows all the songs perfectly since years. And really nobody cares about couple of missed high notes by Gillan, conversely I am happy to see him in a good shape and able to perform the music that requires a lot of energy.

Ian Gillan sounds great in some songs, especially in new ones. Man, he is almost 77 and it’s not easy to sing this kind of music at all. Plus touring… it’s all about spending too much energy and you have to recover after all those crazy things. Bow down to great Ian Gillan! Wish him to give us another 77 years. By the way, Simon McBride is great too!
22:35 Just listen what he is doing in When Blind Man Cries. He sings the full song no fool. He just carries that weight. Ian Gillan is still a workhorse. Hard working singer. Now compare it with modern Whitesnake show where David sings just 50% of the songs.

The alternate picking of Simon McBride is just like the one Blackomre used in the purple's golden era.. I like his hard rock guitar style, perfect for deep purple
Great performance I enjoyed it very much. Tnx @DeepPurplethebest for the effort the video and the sound are really good. Mine are not that good as I was far. Solid show for Glover, Pace, Airey and Gillen was better than the last time and held good. However McBride is a blast. I was worried hearing Morse is not coming but McBride delivered. Moreso, as I'm a guitarist, I adore Morse but always felt he wasn't 100% rock and there is always a Dixie Dregs feel to his playing which for my taste doesn't quite glue with DP's essence. McBride is full rock, and he jugged perfectly original Blackmore riffs as starters and his own and as such was a perfect fit and his contribution to the show level was significant.

I kind of loved that when Steve joined the band... the band fit him instead of him fitting the band. An exceptional player with such a different approach to his instrument. If they wanted the same they would have stuck with Satriani, I feel. Steve was such a welcomed addition when they actually let him play... the last three or four albums poor guy has been neutered... but... he still looks like he loves being on that stage.

Three of these guys were in Purple in 1969 . Many lineup changes but Paice , Gillan and Roger have been in and out since 1969
No vocal issues.. f is any talking about, !? He has a regimen and he keeps it up and his voice...heard him in Sweden oct last yr..beautiful

There is something in the water over in England.. Ian looks good for his age and he has found a very good way to keep singing with a little bit of a different approach.
