Not only was To The Moon my first indie game experience, but For River has a lot of meaning for me. I’ve played this piece on the last piano recital my grandpa was able to attend. He was very supportive of my musical achievements, and was the only relative from a sport-oriented family to express that. He passed not too long after the recital, so I play this song to try to keep his memory with me. It’s refreshing to see that new people would listen to this piece too
These moments are eternal, and they are fleeting. That’s what makes them so beautiful. Rmemebr that whenever you play, and know your grandfather is always with you, as you are always with him
This was one of the first indie games I ever played and I didn't think very many people knew about it. It's awesome to randomly be hearing this today. Not only does it sound awesome I'm also finding out this game isn't as underappreciated as I thought.
To the moon is one of very few indie games that I'll remember forever. "For River" being a big part of it along with the heart wrenching story. It is unlikely that I'll replay the game because of the feeling melancholy I fear it'll bring. This song is probably the closest I'll be to replaying the game. Love your rendition of my personal all time favorite. ❤
Then you might not know that there are a few sequels! One of them just released last year. The main ones are "Finding Paradise" and "Impostor Factory", but I would recommend checking out the Sigmund Corp. minisodes and especially A Bird's Story before chapter 2 (Finding Paradise).
Now that you've started you have to make the rest of this games amazing soundtrack. I think everyone would agree that you should do "Everything's Alright" next. (edit) Don't forget Finding Paradise too! "Wish My Life Away" is worthy of a cover.
AAAAAAAAAAAA, *******. YOU MADE IT. IN AUGUST I WAS THINKING ABOUT TO ASK YOU EVERY NEW VIDEO TO PLAY OST FROM TO THE MOON AND FINDING PARADISE. BUT I THOUGHT IT WON'T WORK. AND NOW YOU MADE IT. I LIVE THIS GAME AND ITS OST SO MUCH. I CRIED 1 WEEK AFTER IT. I LOVE YOU😭😭😭😭😭
Someone I met recommended me the game when they learned I was autistic. And I just got to play it. I think it's the game that madenme cry the most. And coming from someone who cries easily, that means a lot. Everything Isabelle said, and everything River went through just hit too close from home. I couldn't express better than the game already did. But I knew from the start I'd cry anyway, from the very moment I heard that piano. Thanks foe the sheet. I usually find song's melody by ear and just play at one hand, but I feel like trying to play that song seriously
Yo. I was surprised to see this uploaded 12 hours ago. It was very unexpected that's it still getting remembered. One of the best game i played (maybe not gameplay wise but the story is great) and i still listen to this every now and then.
i think this was very literally the first indie game i ever played. i only remember small bits because i was pretty young, but still song really stuck with me. so pretty.
I love this game, this was the first indie games that i played and it's beautiful. I can't fully express this what a beautiful game i love it Sorry for bad English
"I don't know why, but I always thought they were lighthouses" This was so beautiful guys. I look forward to more To The Moon songs if you're ever gonna do more of it. To The Moon is one of my favorite Indie Games.
I've had this in my Steam library for years after grabbing it in a giveaway, and I've never played it. Might need to change that after hearing this lovely piece. I know I've requested "Waiting on a Miracle" from Encanto before, but if I were to make a second request, I would love to hear your rendition of "Rise of the Union" from Kingdom Hearts 3. A grander theme for a cavalry set piece there ne'er was. 🗝️🗝️🗝️🗝️
something i noticed with these is when your a more trained pianist playing like chopin n stuff like that the hard tutorials really arent much at all i feel like the difficulty range is very wide since you also have Rachmaninoff - Variation 18 on here like kind of a whide difference between this and Rachmaninoff
I love this game and this theme with all my soul, so this was a welcome surprise. I think this came out really nice, it definitely does the original justice. Well done.
I really enjoy your content and work. But I like your Russian folk song videos the most, so I would like to request Smuglianka, because it's one of my favorites. Hope you see this
This is day 240 I am here just to remind how your work is awesome and how I apreciate every song you upload Oh and please do suka suka anime opening Dearest drop.... when you can ....
Day 357: 1. Cold as Ice by Foreigner 2. Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass 3. Lady by Styx 4. Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, Running on Ice, or pretty much anything by Billy Joel Please.
Опять плакать.... спасибо большое за кавер столь восхитительной композиции! Игра и музыка в ней просто бесподобны ) Версия 2 детишек этой песни будет на канале?
Whispers of The North by Tony Rice. Originally done by Gordon Lightfoot. Or Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. One of those. I know you will get overloaded with requests so i doubt you will ever see this. No one knows about those songs nowadays.
The Wreck of the Edmund Firzgerald has been musically analyzed here on TH-cam, and I have seen a documentary on the subject. It's a true story. It would be interesting to see SMB's interpretation.
@@lelleithmurray235 Well yeah i know a lot about it but not until recently have people started playing it. I was talking more about whispers of the north. Especially Tony Rice's version.

It is still under appreciated. I think I heard more about it when I was a kid then I ever have now/the past 5 years :’)

A game I will remember for a long time ... it's so beautiful
It is so emotional. Makes me cry every time.

Bro... my heart, this brings back so many memories from that game, not one of my first games but the first one to touch my heart.
It's insane how you can remember so many keys to play. Especially for the left hand you have to be all over the place.
practice makes perfect... just muscle memory.
you know the feeling when the good music, that you feel in your bones and soul, this hits into different vein...
My jaw dropped when I saw this in the notification box. Please do the ending version too if you'd like! Amazing pieces of music
Me too :)
It's a bit of a personal favourite, so it's lovely to see others who really enjoyed To The Moon! :)

It’s been way too long, but the song and game came right back to me with the first few notes. Incredible game, great work.
I agree. I clicked on the video thinking "there is no way I remember any of the songs from this game," but it came back in the first measure haha.
Oh good now I’m crying
