Assam was a part of India, it was actually Sylhet region of Bengal and southern Assam where plebiscite was held and it joined East Pakistan. Muslim majority region of Tripura princely state was also given to Eastern Pakistan to ensure sea access to eastern Pakistan. And Rajshahi region was transferred to East Pakistan.
Absolutely. Sylhet joined East Pakistan after a plebiscite, and parts of southern Assam were also included. Tripura stayed with India, and Rajshahi became part of East Pakistan. Thanks for pointing this out!😇

Hi amna.... your lectures are very helpful for us .... will you please give the of my question that... 3rd june plan was presented on 3rd june 1947, and lord mount batten reached in subcontinent on 20th February 1947 with this plan.... how is it possible that lord mount batten took this plane before it made... please clear my dought...
