They were allowed to be creative. I think a problem the game industry and movie industry have now is that they are these massive productions so a silly little game like this could never be made today because they’d throw way to much money at it and expect it to succeed which means cutting corners

Oh man you gotta finish it. It has such a great story that definitely catches you off guard. The game gets better as you find out the twist of the game.

This is a special game... my favorite parts are whenever I was not directly on a story mission and I could freely just hunt and trap... this game is sooo very special and I remember how much of a breath of fresh air it was because NO ONE had a similar game to this... and Oddworld Abe couldn't prepare you for the creative gameplay of this game.... I didn't know what to expect and it blew me away...

I have been on the hunt for this game for years and I could never ever remember the name all I could remember was the running animation and being stuck on a puzzle I was just searching through xbox games online for half an hour when I found it, it had your video under it and knowing that one or my favorite youtubers manged to post a video without me catching it when it was posted is heartbreaking
I’ve never ever ever played ,seen or heard of this game. But I’m 100000% familiar with old video game nostalgia. I can literally feel the nostalgia he’s getting from some of these sound effects and graphics you’d typically hear and see in an old game like this. Just janky, low budget, low brow but still fun sound effects a lot of early games had. I can feel the nostalgia he’s recieving from a game I’ve never even heard of. That’s cool. Woah! I remember seeing this on a gaming magazine in a bookstore near us. Being a kid back then, I bought this cheap magazine to cut out pictures for a school project. But most of the time I just look at the images, and imagine how this game feels like when playing it. Growing up I never had any video games, not even a phone. This video just popped up in my recommendations and all the memories went back. Now I can atleast say I have some decent platforms in terms of gaming (console/pc). But this makes me appreciate everything even more.

The oddworld games do a really good job of feeling like an open world while still maintaining a strong linear storyline. I feel like this game could get a full HD remake and sell pretty well.

My parents got divorced when I was young so I spent alot of time flying from Florida to NJ and Id always make sure to buy a gaming magazine from a vendor before the plane ride so I had something to read. The gameplay the way you can change camera POV , the ammo you find plus when they upgrade your weapons omg bro this game is everything to me! Even the storyline is sick I wish they could’ve made a second game exploring the steef history and universe! this game was probably the one that really hooked me as a child. I've never stopped gaming since; replaying this gem to this day.
