Although I was born and raised in Pampanga and when in the Philippines, live in San Fernando, I find the place very wanting in terms of tourist spots and places to go without someone driving you around. Hence, it is not a place I would recommend other than targeted event festivals. Yes, we tell people Pampanga is the culinary capital but it is also seems to be a region where decent infrastructure seems to have been forgotten! However, one thing I recommend is a visit to Mt Pinatubo (volcanic) crater. And to be fair, Pampanga is a huge province. New Clark City is the new BGC of the North.

Hi Marshall.. greetings from Melbourne! Pampanga is the culinary capital of the philippines. Where you can find a lot of popular dishes and exotic foods… one of them is Sisig which is originated in angeles city, pampanga( my hometown). Around half an hour from the place you’re staying in… kapampangans are best known for their foods…
Enjoy your stay mate! More power to your Vlog!

"Okoy." 👍 ..... You made my day, again, Marshall. Heheh! (Btw, many Filipinos are quite shy to speak in English, as you have just experienced - or, are not so familiar with the Australian accent that they are too shy to even ask the Australian person to say it again. .... Take care, Marshall. Lots of water, fruits and rest should do the trick.)

Mr. Marshall Butters, some people may not be able to respond to you immediately or at all, maybe because they are just too shy or simply not used to seeing a foreigner who tries to talk to them, or maybe because of the language barrier. Whatever the case maybe, Filipinos are usually warm and accommodating. BTW, because of your Baguio vlogs, I slowly remembered that I was able to watch some of your vlogs about a few years ago, but didn't subscribe to your channel. Your Baguio vlogs also made me subscribe to your channel. If I may add to my kilometric comments, your old vlogs on the Bay Leaf Hotel and the Manila Hotel are just fantastic!

I feel so bad that they can't even give you a straightforward answer. "Pandesal" for breakfast.
Pampanga is my home province. You can try local cuisine. We are the best cooks, hahaha. There are old churches to see, there's Mt. Pinatubo trail and a lot more. You can check Clark field.
I am from the nearby town of Apalit, about 12kms from San Fernando.

Typical breakfast are served there. You can also try Everybody's Cafe in San Fernando famous for its authentic Kapampangan cuisines

It's now mainly a business center but part of it is still operated by the Philippine Air Force and this is where you'll find the Clark International Airport. There are a lot of restaurants along Fields avenue. Don't mind about the notoriety of the place. You can also enter Clark Economic Zone and have a tour inside. I lived in. Sydney for 21 years and I am glad to see an Aussie enjoying our country.

Since you’re in Pampanga and your question is about “what breakfast people there eat” I would think it is “TOCINO,” or cured sweet and savory pork meat (may sometimes be sweet and spicy). Pampanga makes one of the best tocinos in the country and everyone loves it for breakfast (TO-SI-LOG - breakfast combo of Tocino, Sinangag or fried rice, and Itlog or egg!) 👍🏻
