Updated to the latest version today and it really is great to be able to customise far more than we’ve been able to. I now have a clean sidebar that works for me.
Thanks for the update. I assume the keyboard shortcuts to the various areas will still exist even if you remove them from the sidebar. For example I exclusively open tasks using the keyboard shortcut so would be very happy to review tasks from the sidebar to save space.
On the comment about never creating a note without a notebook. I used to struggle with note taking. Then I discovered David Allen's GTD book. I absolutely love the Inbox philosophy. Sometimes, most times, actually, you simply need to get an idea OUT of your brain. Called mind dumping. Then you can go about your day and TRUST you at least got it out into a secure system. THEN, when you have time, come back and organize your notes in your inbox when you're being thoughtful. More often than not, the friction of needing to organize RIGHT NOW is too great for people and will discourage note taking. The Inbox philosophy removes that friction.
I'm aware that for many people that works very well. For me, it has the opposite effect. I can't stand all the time I'm wasting moving sings around in the future. I could be doing something else with that time if I had quickly saved it in the correct place in the past. The key here is that when we think about something or have something to organize, that idea is fresh, and we know what it is about. In other words, knowing where to put it is effortless. Organizing it in the future means that one has to go through each inbox item and recall what all that save information is about before moving each one of them to the appropriate space. Mathematically speaking, it will always take more time. In my case, the places are so clear in my mind that I don't even think about it. The moment I open the app, I already know where to save it. But again, each of us is the best person to know what's right for ourselves 😉
I am a paid EN subscriber but there are 3 things keeping me from using it regularly. Security, iCloud calendar integration, spotlight search. On X Fredrico referenced a security document. Do you know where I can find it? Thank you.

It's sooooo good!
Yes, yes! The ability to customize the side menu should be a no-brainer, especially for buttons that have hotkeys.
👏
All the gloom and doom about Bending Spoons acquiring Evernote turned out to be inaccurate. I think they are doing a great job.

Sorry. Just found your video on security
Can us regular folks get access to this update?
As far as I know, nobody outside Evernote has access to it. The images you see in the video are from Federico's tweet.
@@vladcamposwell I'll be waiting for this update - thanks for all you do!
