I really enjoy your tips. I’ve set up my Evernote based on it and I’m satisfied, but also I'm still considering and rethinking some possibilities of the new features.

🟢 I just realized I forgot to explain one detail. The note title has the document number for the same reason that the 'Documents' note does. If, for any reason, I am at a document note and need the number, I can simply copy and paste it from the note title.

Evernote finally integrates its own calendar, but what I notice is that you can only create events from the PC application. On the mobile you can only see the calendar but it does not allow you to create events, but you can create tasks, a big failure, since the main use is observed using a mobile device

Yes ... there's still tons of issues ... when I just access Evernote via Safari ... signs in ... accesses the account ... then continues closes the accesss ... surprised they allow this stuff to happen ...

Agree with creating a note from the Notebook first!

I am one that starts on the create page. I'd like to see them allow us to customize that a bit more...like be able to rearrange or exclude some of the options. I don't want the sketch option as well as the files one. Also...as far as their rolling out updates...the one you mention about syncing...I'd like it if they prioritized the rollout based on seniority of their customer base...I've been a premium subscriber since 2009...and it seems like I am always waiting for the updates to go through for me.

I love that there are people out there that like Evernote as much as I do. I love that you discuss even the smallest of features. Thank you, and keep up the great work! Fantastic channel. Hi Vlad, I’ve been an Evernote enthusiast since 2010. I’m retired now, but have built a Personal Kanban like system in Evernote to organize my information, projects, and commitments. I have been slowly getting my spouse familiar with my system. This has already paid off when I recently had a health issue and was in the hospital. My husband was able to find health records and insurance information 😊 Loving your work here. I appreciate seeing another perspective on how to overlay an information organization system over the latest Evernote features. -John

I watched all series but still not sure what the purpose use of timeline? Isn't it same as Notes which essentially by default showing all notes? What is the main benefit or purpose of Timeline?

Hi, thanks a ton for your informative videos. One thing to ask. Is there a deliberate decision to not add REPEAT function in Events in Evernote calendar? The functionalities of task can be replicated to events also, and it seems to obvious but I don't see it. I want to add repeated events in my calendar and i do this all the time in my google calendar but here i cannot do this in Evernote calendar. I think it should be there. Just letting you know so that if possible, you can send this feedback to Bending spoon. What do you say?

Complaining about lack of views isn't going to get you more views. As for having multiple vaults, I like to keep my subjects segregated. I have one for programming, which I'm in quite a lot, one that serves as a journal, and another for poetry. I have a couple of others, but those are the ones I use the most.

I used to love Evernote, but 90% of the time was for professional use. Then I switched to Obsidian and I’m not looking back. Nice video, though.

Eu mudei minha forma de organizar o Evernote também. Decidi fazer o que você fez com os cadernos (transformando-os em tags) e depois criei um caderno pra cada ano. Coloquei na visão de todas as notas, organizadas por data de criação e fui arrastando, de 50 em 50 pra cada caderno do ano correspondente. Atualmente uso o ano de 2024 como o principal, então toda nota que crio já fica ali. Percebi que ficou muito mais fluido o processo de abrir o app e já criar uma nota, além de ter um insight sobre o meu uso do Evernote ao longo dos anos. Precisei separar uns 2 anos em primeiro e segundo semestre pois o volume de notas era imenso, mas de qualquer forma manteve ali a lógica da cronologia. Estou navegando agora apenas pelas tags e estou adorando!

I did something similar, not so extreme, I saw your previous video about the system and I didn't understand very well now it's clearer. I followed Thiago Forte's model of having a notebook for each project and throwing everything in there, but I didn't know what tasks were or what supported the project and not the project itself, what I did was label everything and separate it, following the GTD as well, in notebooks (projects to start, in progress, completed and delayed), and I separated the related files into other notebooks, each note has a Project label.... and an index note "Learning English Index", another I usually link everything related when I need it with recurrence in the note, so the notes are free within Evernote and I can work with several notes, one for each thing. They can be tasks (I have a Tasks notebook), be part of the planning (go to my Planning notebook), or even go to the "Files" notebook, which I will find. A good balance between notebooks and labels

Great video. I was wondering how I got files to my Apple II back in 2000 when I first pulled it out of the closet. I must have used a version of ADT or similar via the serial card I had. Great video; so funny that you can use audio for this!

Hello! Good thinking. I actually have a similar system, as with your "timeline". I have an "inbox", where all my new documents end up from the beginning. I have active documents - documents that I edit periodically. Then I have a "current document" - documents that I need for a certain period of time and furthermore I have your "timeline" although I call it an archive, all your documents are eventually moved, if they are not deleted completely. The AI ​​feature, in my opinion, in Evernote works way beyond expectations. Like you, I still use tags to be able to categorize my documents and find them more easily - if the ai messes up.

Find this whole area interesting also. Some of my (not fully developed) thoughts: 1. Notes can have literally anything in them, so without a controlled structure associated with them (notebooks and / or tags) retrieval is really just by memory. Not ideal once the notes numbers build up (unless you are one of those photographic memory types) 2. I use just two notebooks (Inbox, Processed) but writing this makes me wonder if even that is necessary as I never really filter to either and really is a notebook anything other than just a special tag in some ways? (happy to be filled in if missing some benefit of them etc) 3. Like many (I'm guessing) I've just added tags over the years as needed and haven't paid much attention structure. Given that tags can be nested multiple times, I'm now thinking it could be useful to take the time to organize my tags more in an ordered hierarchy starting with top level ones like Health, Money etc. As much to have a mental model as anything (would be really nice if when you added tags to a note, you could view any higher or lower level tags to place you in context as it were) 4. Find it useful to regularly review notes to both tidy them up and also with a mind to how my future self might search for the note. With that in mind, I'll often make the title much informative and explanatory (so you have an idea if it's the right one after doing the initial search, and also possibly by adding synonyms, acronyms etc that I know might pop into my mind when thinking about that topic down the trac 5. Having one main note for a given topic, project etc and from there linking to related individual notes is quite helpful I find Anyway thanks for prompting these reflections
