    If you have a good 1/4 inch socket set, you don't need to remove the heat shield. if you combine the long 10mm socket with a flexi joint and then a short extender, you can get to the top 10mm nut from the end of the motor. Also, according to Land Rover, the oil capacity for the Haldex pump is 780ml, so you only ever get about half the oil out. Therefore, it's worth doing this job every year as you can only replace about 350-380ml. Only hard part of the job is pushing the motor back in, but with gentle pressure and gently twisting it a centimetre left and right, it'll squeeze back in again. Great video and job is fairly easy to do.

    where is the drain plug? or its just drain when you take the motor out?

      Just drains out of the pump housing... 🙂

    Hi I have bought the strainer kit and a syringe but I think the wrong oil, I found the Oil you used Febi 101172. Can you confirm that all Haldex units Gen 1-5 for all makes of car use the same oil Thanks Nick

    Please after cleaning it and put it back the lights come on again saying
