The model of the Chefman tea kettle I showed in the video can be found at the link above. I've added 2 more links to other Electric Chefman tea kettles below. They are both similar to the one I've reviewed, but I'd consider them a slight upgrade to the one above.

In this video I share my Chefman Electric Tea Kettle that I've been using for over a year with you.
I show you how it works and tell you how to clean this electric tea kettle.
I also share a useful tip for people that like to make strong tea with a lot of loose leaf tea. This is important because this tip reveals the flaw with this type of tea kettle and gives you a great solution.

Good Tip regarding the tea! However, don’t you find that the carafe becomes unstable on its base when it’s at a rapid boil? I felt the carafe was going to topple over at one point and yet I did everything right setting it up onto a flat surface.

Thank you for the comment. So far I haven't felt like the carafe is going to topple over. It does get to a pretty rapid boil though,. I can imagine visually how that could make you think it might topple over. : )

Is there a way to manually place the Chefman in sleep mode? I keep thinking maybe some combination of buttons, but haven't found anything.
We take filtered water from the output in our refrigerator door using a separate pitcher because the kettle does not fit and pour the water into the kettle. We then place the kettle on the base and press the start button. Then we use some of the filtered water to make tea. Then not wanting to waste the water we initially jerked the plug out of the wall with each use, because there does not seem to be an immediate off button available. However, seemed like after a while this might damage the cord. Considered a plug switch, but now we just remove the kettle from the base and place it on the counter. Neither the kettle bottom nor the base seem to be overly warm so safe for the counter. However, we would prefer to just leave the counter on the base. Eventually, the kettle will go into sleep mode, but since we are done with the kettle until the next use and don't wish to needlessly waste the electricity, we just place the kettle on the counter.
    Any approach available we've missed?
    Thanks.

Have you figured out how to wash the black part of the infuser? Wondering if it’s removable. Thanks.

Without the tea infuser how long did boiling take at kettle full water capacity??

Hi. I timed it for you. With very cold filtered water from a Colorado tap, it took 10 minutes and 33 seconds to boil.

I love this electric kettle however when I lift the pot to pour my water I find that there’s water on the base and it leaks onto my counter

Hi Annette. I've had this happen too. I think it's condensation, but I'm not 100% sure. If I wipe the bottom after seeing the moisture it doesn't reappear.

This is the worst electric kettle I owned in my life. It lasted 14 months. Go figure.

Hi HandyMan, Is there a particular Electric Kettle you've owned that you'd recommend over all of the others you've owned?
