      You could use it for instant coffee, tea or cocoa, though I prefer homemade cocoa.

    Happy New Year, Jim, Lori, Colby and Family. We love our electric kettle for boiling hot water too. We mainly for hot tea and for making iced tea as you did. They are so fast an easy! Our is about the same size 1.75 liters. One handy little gadget for sure! Thank you for your receipt I do the same for ice tea steep the bags twice as long👍👍 but no sugar🤪🤪 I use stevia instead or Splenda. Happy first production for 2022🙏🙏

    First of all Happy New Year Jim and family! Wow that pot heated up pretty darn quick! You could use that pot also to pour into a pot to to faster heat up water for spaghetti and other pastas as well as soups ect.
    As for me I prefer to take a big jar fill it with water, put my tea bags in then let the sun heat the water and make my tea.

      I hit the wrong button but to finish up my comment… I try to make sun tea when the sun is out. Granted it takes a lot longer but I think if ya need to make it fast the heated pot you have would do the trick.
      Great review of the pot and your easy way to make tea!
      Thanks for sharing, great job, have a great week, stay safe and God bless.

    Jim I cannot have sugar. Will artificial sugar work in tea made like this?

    • @HelpatHomeJim
      @HelpatHomeJim  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely! My wife is diabetic and uses Splenda in tea.

    I left a question on your sweet tea video. You didn’t have electric kettle with that video. I now have the Ovente kettle. Maximum water qty is 1.5 liters. I’ve been only using 1 liter line. I only have a 2 qt pitcher. I use 2 family Luzianne tea bags with 1 liter water. Steeped for 3 mins and then add 1 liter cold water. I suppose I could add cold water to top of pitcher. What would you recommend?
    I’m loving the convenience of the electric kettle. Does your kettle have a larger water capacity?

    • @HelpatHomeJim
      @HelpatHomeJim  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I answered you, but in case I'm mistaken, my kettle has a 1.5 liter capacity, but you can do one of two things. First option is to add more water to the kettle. Mine will hold about 7 cups (which is above the 1.5 liter line) and then proceed with adding your tea bags after it boils. Option two, just fill to the 1.5 liter line, add your tea bags after it boils and even though it will be a little stronger, you will need to add extra water to fill up your two quart pitcher, and that will even it all out. Good luck!

    Electric Kettles are really not a thing in the states are they? People told me but, it's pretty wild to think about. Nearly every household here in Aus has a kettle.

      We do have electric kettles in the US, but they have not been as popular here. They are very nice to have though.

      @@HelpatHomeJim what are your opinions on cold brew style ice tea?

    • @HelpatHomeJim
      @HelpatHomeJim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cold brew, if that's the one that brews over a pitcher of ice, I don't think it has as strong and good a flavor as letting the tea steep tradionally.
