I get that a game is a game, but giving money to people who don't believe humans deserve human rights is scary stuff. JK Rowling is anti LGBT+, not to mention her various messed up views on race. She also has mocked people with disabilities like dysautonomia (P.O.T.S.) ... she's not a kind person, and her bigoted nonsense can lead to a lot of harm in the real world by giving a platform to bigotry through the success of this title. She's even stated that she sees support for her work as a support for her (hateful) ideology. I know I'm just a drop in the ocean here, but if you could not endorse this series it would do a lot of good. At the very least, please do not buy the full game/dlc. If a free copy is given to you, that's fine. I wish you well, have a great rest of the week. It really sucks that creeps are putting thier bigotry into game success... hopefully we get less of this crap and not more, in the future.

Was a bit skeptical of the developers never having made a big budget game but colour me impressed. They've put so much love into this game and it shows.

I used to go to the cinema for every harry potter movie with my mother, I remember me and other kids being scared shitless of the werewolf in the third movie. Having the same age as the actors, was a fantastic experience, progressively quitting the innocent world of a kid to a more serious world as an adult with the actors was magical. I'm grateful for the team that clearly put a lot of work into this project.
IF you're interested i'm playing through the old school harry potters on my channel in preparation for the release of this, iv got in running in 4k 60 fps looks amazing cant lie
The only thing that looks a bit iffy is the facial animations for dialogue and so on, but I get that with it being a cross-gen game some compromises had to be made. Otherwise it looks fantastic.

Still, For the ones who know nothing about it, it's not exactly what one can expect when seeing the first scenes of young Daniel "Cutie McCuteface" Radcliff and his friends from the first movie.
This is Bully 2 but with magic in wizard world. Only missing is couple features from original. And yes, Bully was never kid-friendly. It was a teenager game and for adults as well.
Oh and Batman and Spider-Man performed these type of actions already in their games. Literally and in the end turned up that they ended in prison hospitals.
Even though this is an early preview and some things can still be polished, this game looks amazing! The atmosphere, THE Hogwarts, it was worth waiting! :)
I thought the enemies looked really weak, and half the time they didn’t even attack at all, despite being “engaged in battle.” I think they tried too hard to make it look chaotic and big scale, but when the enemies are so weak and they don’t even attack just ruins it
It seems to be creepily quiet, where is the background noise? Other students chatting and walking around. There was even a bit where he cast a spell at someone and no reaction. Hopefully they fix it in the full release. Game looks pretty though.
Everything is looking fine except one thing that is bothering me is the dialogue system, the world and environment is feeling so much silent, even though they are doing the action of saying something but we rarely listening any dialogue.
Give the developers time. They probably have this in the works, just like CD Projekt Red did with Cyberpunk. They added it, or perfected it, after a few patches. I don't see this developer taking as long though. I am also sure Quidditch will be in a future, payable DLC. Almost guarantee it.
I dunno if i wanted this game after watched the gameplay. Bunch of NPCs of different factions gathered and play together? arent they suppose to be like spirit of rivalry and competitiveness between factions? Can we choose dark evil path if we wanted to?
This was by far and much more engaging and enjoyable game to watch then forspoken. The graphics look decent and the gameplay looks fun. Voice acting is pretty decent. Overall it looks like a enjoyable game. Looking forward to the second part. My only complaint is that I wish it was for PS4 & not just PS5. Thank you for posting.

As a someone who has a Switch , I'm ecstatic this game is getting a Switch release. I wonder how it'll work and if it'll melt my Switch. Concerning indeed.

What a neat little detail, when you put the target on an enemy it shows his face in top right corner, i like how that face is always different and not some generic ones.
Oh brother remember when Cyberpunk 2077 was showing "gameplay previews" of the maelstrom mission and tried to pass it as representative of the whole game? This feels EXACTLY like that
10 out of 10 easy, this looks amazing. I thought gaming was lost for sure with all the horrible releases for next-gen. Finally a new game with new ideas. Great video.

Forspoken feels empty and lifeless at times with disjointed dialogue and unlikable characters. This however feels like you're in a Harry Potter movie. Both games being fantasy based and having magic is where the similarities end... from what I've seen.

Hearing both the player and enemies calling out the spells in combat...I'm in heaven. This is everything I've wanted.
I'm sorry but that "hulk smash" on that one enemy where you just slammed him against the ground like a doll 3 times was brutal I loved it
It's one of the best finishers of combat in this game.

One of my irks in RPGs are npcs you follow who only walk. I'm so glad the NPC changes her speed to match you

This is not an early preview this is the completed game.
At this point in development the only polish will be Day One patch bugfixes. This is the game.

exactly, NPCs have very little script. Look at RDR2, it's super immersive. I will buy it, play it but I really hope it's more immersive than this.

I love the spells and the jinxs so far. Who would have thought you could use arresto momentum and accio like that in a battle. Im pumped!
