I just found your channel. ❤ I'm in S. Florida and I'm always excited to find other organic gardeners.

Welcome! Your zone will be different from mine but we can still learn from each other. Florida surely has it's own seasons.

We are plant based also and enjoy growing beans (though we don't yet grow enough for all of our needs). Our big harvest is in the fall so we shell them all winter long. Fun family time.

My next harvest will most likely have to dry in my shed. I pull the whole plant and pull the pods off after the plants have dried for a few days. Thanks for sharing and yes, it makes great family times and memories.

it really is easy! and you're welcome, it's a pleasure to encourage people to grow more of their own food.

What are your thoughts on starting seeds in trays or six packs enough time before your harvest so that in May when you harvest at the predicted time, you can just amend the soil and immediately plant your baby bean transplants?

I have never started them early. I'm not sure how well beans will transplant. It could cut back on the time to harvest but we would still be in the rainy season as it starts in June.
