- Going into the 2020 football season, there was a debate on who should be the starting quarterback for Alabama between Mac Jones and Bryce Young. Jones ended up winning the job and is now projected to be a first round draft pick for the 2021 NFL Draft. Going into the 2021 Season, Bryce Young looks to be the favorite to win the starting quarterback job and lead Alabama back to the championship game.

He has had game time.he didnt look the greatest but still had some drives
He'll be fine as long as he adjusts to the speed at the collegiate level. That's the main thing he struggled with this past year.

When Alabama didn't have Spring Practice I knew Mac would start this year. But yes expect big things from him next year, Also there are 4 of the Top 10 Wr's out of 2021 High School Class signed and committed to Alabama. So Future is bright..

I’m surprised Saban didn’t get Young more than 23 passes last season!!!! I would say Young is the starter but never rule out Bear Bryant’s great grandson getting a fair chance to play at Bama!!! It doesn’t hurt that Tyson has the size and talent to play!!!!!

When Tua came into games for clean up duty, he was very impressive.
When Young came into games this season, I wasn't impressed. He looked average at best.
We'll see how he progresses by the time next season arrives.

Bryce is the best QB on the roster period!! He can be anything you want him to be a..Pocket Passer or Duel Threat not to many QBs have that gift and not only that he's accurate as a laser beam throwing the football even when he's on the run!! This guy has super crazy skills hands down!! "Bryce 4 QB" RTR!!!

I hope Bryce Young continues to develop at the collegiate level. With the exception of the Kentucky game, Young did not move the Alabama offense well in 2020.

Bruh he barely got to do anything. He'd come in and they'd hand the ball off like 15 times in a row. You can't blame him for the offense not moving when all they'd let him do is hand it off.

I pray Young will be box office; but will need to see it on the field before l make any judgement. Our season ultimately rest with our quarterback play. Roll Tide Roll!
Really glad Bryce sat out a year not only to put on some more pounds too his frame but to learn behind Mac Jones and that really potent offense, excited to see what he could do on the field

Weve had our best seasons with Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, Jake Coker and Mac Jones. Not sure what it is with this systematic effort to bill Bryce Young as the second coming. Everyone was so eager to dismiss Mac Jones before this season and I never understood why.
All those quarterbacks you mentioned are Pro bums pretty much. Except for Tua.

we’ve won titles with those people , we haven’t had our “best seasons” with them tho, stat wise 2017- forward or the “tua era” forward has been the best seasons statistically. Put greg mckelroy or Coker against 2019 LSU we can’t move the ball at all.

All these people saying they want to see Paul Tyson over Bryce are idiots, you sit here and say you saw nothing from a true freshman with limited pre season practice (who also only threw 20 or so passes) when Paul Tyson hasn’t taken a game snap for a reason. With Jalen Milroes talent I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes over the 2nd string job.
