Yeh people didn't consider Alabama came into that game without 4 or 5 of their best defensive players 3 of those guys being their best edge rushers and also without their best cornerback Diggs, then Quinnen Williams was nursing an injury but played nowhere near 100%. Alabama also had Tua playing right after ankle surgery so he wasn't mobile whatsoever in that game. With that being said Alabama still had around 600 yards of total offense in that game but only managed 9 points on 6 trips inside the Clemson redzone so it wasn't Clemson was the better program they just played the cleaner game made less mistakes and was the healthier team for that game.

I stumbled across a local sports radio station, where upon they were signaling the rise of the ACC and the downfall of Alabama and the SEC. They spouted the new number 1 in college football....Clemson.. Alabama got spanked by Clemson - yes - 44-16. The following year, ANOTHER SEC team...spanked Clemson, LSU 42 - 25, and this year Ohio State, 45-28. I choose to NEVER talk crap, before or after a game, btw ROLL TIDE. I think he could definitely do the 10-15 years mentioned but I just feel like he will just decide he's got nothing left to prove at that time. The title of GOAT will never belong to someone else. Even before he broke Bear Bryant's record, I considered him the GOAT by the fact college football has never been so focused on by the greatest minds of the sport, better athletes than the sport has ever had, and more equal competition than ever before. 75 feels like the right number that he will hang it up and as any human being would do, enjoy the perks of retirement.

They said this right before Bama beat Ohio State. Even before Ohio State, this run was exponentially better than USC's run.
And the only thing I'll say about defenses is Alabama 2011 could shut down any offense. If you had put the Bama 2011 defense against Deshaun Watson, he'd have been hurt badly. That defense could have stopped anyone. Except when they had a lot of players out due to injury.

2018 and 2019 were dead season because of Tua and injuries. Look at Tua's QB rating in the SEC championship game and playoffs. It's worse than Jalen Hurts was. He was tremendously telented athletically but missed on reading defenses and taking what the defense gave him. Mac Jones was a much better "quarterback". 2019, they played the last half of the season missing 5 starters. 2 would be extreme. Winning 11 games in 19 with 5 guys out, all SEC type guys by the way, would lead most teams to a 7 win season. When they got halfway through this season and you saw that the injury bug wasn;t hitting, you knew the national championship was a mere formality. Scott Cochran was vital from 08-15. He was a liability after that.

Yep, same here. That was when most of the “experts” on TV, and the fans of other teams, were all saying that the dynasty was dead. They even had the Tide as underdogs, for the first time since 2009, in the game after that at Georgia. Then, of course, the Tide went to Athens and crushed the Dawgs by about 30, won another national championship, and didn’t lose again until the National Championship Game the next year. It’s crazy now knowing that you could have actually bet on Alabama in that game against Georgia and got points. I guess the people in Vegas learned their lesson after that, though, because they haven’t had the Tide as underdogs since. It’s too bad for us Bama fans that the best team doesn’t always win, I guess. If that was the case, we wouldn’t have lost a game since the SEC Championship in 2008!

Takes were we couldn’t replace Tua and Saban we Bama isn’t a good defensive team anymore. Both proved wrong. But when you play in the All Cupcake Conference, you can prepare the whole damn season for one game and not have to put any focus into the rest of your games. That showed in 2018 when Alabama got blown out. I give props to the coaches preparation but that's it. They had a season do it and it paid off. I only wish Bama had gotten to play them this year. Championship game score would have been even worse. Clemson has gone downhill since that 2018 title. I predict they won't even make the playoffs in 2021. Might still win their conference title but just barely.

I love how some said Alabama was done after Jaylen Waddle got injured. If only they saw the future Heisman guy wearing number 6 running all over defenses lmao😂 I bet those people feel mighty dumb now days when thinking about what they said. Alabama was a beast this year and teams who the committee thought were the best to play in the playoffs were totally destroyed along with Clemson but I think Clemson and Dabo Sweeny just thought they would have an easy win so they could say whatever they wanted and it pissed off the Ohio State players who wanted to try and show the reason they were good enough to be there and dismantled Dabo's team piece by piece only to go down a dark ally and run right into that Alabama team in the national championship game lol. I'm glad Mac Jones was an accurate passer, he was throwing the ball right to receivers hands even between 2 defenders like in the LSU game Metchie could of caught one of those weird passes that hit him right in the hands while running and between two corners. I was hoping Mac would get the Heisman but I wouldn't mind even if Najee had gotten it but Davonte Smith was on another level than all other receivers this year and it showed on that game winning touchdown pass in the National Championship game back in 2018 when him and Tua came in as freshman there very first start and was able to do what the experienced guys couldn't and that was to get some points on the board and win lol. These next up guys probably won't do exactly what the guys who left have done but hopefully they can do great things, it sucks that Mac left but it's his decision and he could come back and not do as good as he did this year and so that drops him in the draft but I know he could do even better if he stayed because he would have even more experience and he would probably win the Heisman trophy. But he won't be there next season so we must move on to Bryce Young and hope he's as good as everyone said, people were saying at one time they wanted Bryce in over Mac Jones and that was after Tua got injured 😂 yea Mac was keeping up with other teams back then too, they might of made more touchdowns during the LSU game last year also and that was LSU's closest game all season last year was Alabama, they won by 3 points. Anyways maybe Texas actually wins next season, we'll know when they play Oklahoma if they've improved or not.

In the mean time we probably lost the best OC in the sport (College) and while I think it's possible to replace Sark, though not easy to do, we end up with Obrien who in a lot of minds is exactly what you don't want happening at Alabama. This really "feels" like a step backward. We'll see but I'm not looking at O Brien as a move up but rather as a very questionable (for the players sake) backward. Nobody likes the guy, the players, other coaches, I don't think the fans liked him. There's a good reason why. Smh... Saban is great but he's not infallable and has made poor choices in the past.
