I also reach for the 1910 over each of these. For an offering at 100 proof, I'll reach for Cooper's Craft. Then, there's always the 1920 for the 115 proof point, and Jack Daniel's Single Barrel, Barrel Proof to take the flavor notes another step forward. The Jack Daniel's ranges from barrel to barrel at about 125 - 135 proof. Great show as always! Cheers!

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the movie that The Statesman was tied into. 😉

OF100 is a great mixer to me, at $50 I would spend a couple more bucks and buy 1910 or 1920

Blintstones have flavors, grape and orange for example.

Nice! I think the Statesman is pretty decent but there are a lot of other bottles out there.

I enjoy both of these from time to time. Nothing special but decent whiskey.

So there's no real concept of Terroir in English. It's the combination of weather, soil, elevation, and sun that is specific to a place which makes something grown there different from the same thing grown somewhere else. With wine you can taste two wines from neighboring vineyards and have quite different tasting experiences.
An example I like to give for non wine people is Vidalia Onions. You can take seeds or bulbs identical to those grown there and plant them in your garden. But your onions won't taste the same because your soil is different (it's the specific soil chemistry that gives them their flavor).

I don't mind the Statesman but Michters American is similar in flavor and cheaper. Statesman is disjointed while the Michters is better balanced.

I’m calling BS I put a glencairn signal up and Josh did not come running. Cheers, and keep the whiskey flowing.

I tried the Statesman a while back (inspired by the Kingsman sequel…I mean Pedro Pascal plays Agent Whiskey!, and that Jackie was involved in its development, which I heard her discuss in a podcast), but it didn’t stick with me. I recently got a 375 of OFO 100 in searching for a go-to 100-ish proof cocktail bottle…I think I’ll stick with Early Times BiB or Evan Williams BiB on that front. Cheers, fam!

Is the Old Forester 100 and older bottle? Maybe the mineral taste is due to oxidation? Just curious.
I like these videos. I've been going back and checking out your Russell's and Wild Turkey blinds and double oaks blinds.

Just a couple of months old so not likely oxidation.
