Every time I search for twa style inspiration, I see your pic. I finally found your blog and youtube channel today. I can't wait to try the brush coil method! Thank you!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! Your tutorial was EXACTLY what I needed to see today...my two teenage daughters both decided to do the big chop, and I had been doing Sisterlocks on them for YEARS, which required almost nothing besides water as far as products are concerned...It was tough to see their locks go - one of them had her hair long past her shoulder blades. My daughters are both 4C, but I myself am not a curly girl, so none of us had a clue what to do with their newly short TWAs. The younger of the two just cut her locks off today, and unfortunately, when we went to the salon to have it evened out, they took way too much off, and she's not happy. But I followed your tutorial on her older sister's hair, and it worked wonderfully - will do the same on the younger sister tomorrow. Seeing your video made her feel a lot better - made her feel like she really can have super-cute styles even though her hair was cut more than we wanted :) Thank you for making my girls happier and more confident with their TWAs, which makes me a relieved and happy mama!
I did the big chop three days ago and was like "what the hell did I do?" But then I found u and now I'm smiling cuz you've given me new inspiration. Thank u soooooo much. Much love n blessings from Barbados!
Kimberley Peters Same here! I had mine chopped yesterday and woke up this morning feeling like...what the?! Now I feel like singing, lol. "You light up my liiife...you give me hooope to carry ooonnn..." X-D
Kimberley Peters I did the same thing just yesterday n cried like a baby. This morning is dawned on me again and I texted my bestie freaking out...she just laughed and said Check TH-cam lol
Something about you twisting up your hair was very sedative and very calming. Didn't even want you stop. An awesome video...no elaborate language, no pounding distracting music, no gimmicks...just you lovely self giving a real genuine worthwhile tutorial. Thanks
Your hair came out very lovely. I'm not sure I have the patience that you do. I must say I loved your hair just after you brushed it into coils. Now that I can do. Smiles.
This was a great inspiration to watch for my transition from relaxed hair to natural hair. Most of the videos I've seen, every ones hair is already way long and I needed this for short hair (beginners). thank you soooooooo much!!!!
you do AMAZING work! wish I lived close so you could be my natural hair stylist for coils/locs! makeup too and I'm a MUA myself! that speaks volume!!!!
Thank you for posting this video in great detail. My mother has been trying to describe this hair style to her stylist for some time. Your hair looks beautiful!
Fantabulous job! I did the chop yesterday. Was feelin' a bit unsure for a minute, but now I'm good. =-) And thank you for introducing me to Cocotique. I must look into it! Be well, be happy.
Thank you I like how you're twisting it. When I wrap my hair around my finger to make a coil I feel that it's pulling out my hair. This is more gentle ❤️
Finally a video that shows me how to style my hair if I big chop, am 5 months post relaxer and still have my relaxed ends but I really want to chop them off. Thanks for this 👍🏾
Beautiful.....I love your hair you make we want to big chop again because when I was permed I wore tapered short cuts and my natural hair is tapered but it's nothing like a tapered twa love it tfs!
My mouth literally dropped open when I watched your excellent tutorial, especially when I saw you coil with that brush! Beautiful style and beautiful makeup. What lipstick color and eyeshadow color is that you are wearing?
Hello I recently came across your channel. first let me say your TWA is beautiful!!! I'm sorry to ask but if you have a video that shows washing deep conditioning etc. could you please send me the link or do a video for all of us to see who suffer with these TWA"s. Mines never Looks like right the next morning when i wake up it never last overnight. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong thank you for doing these videos. Hopefully you continue to do them for all of us who have TWA's
Hello. Thanks for commenting. I’d suggest that you go through all of my videos here, and also follow me on Instagram to see more videos. My name is the same. I plan to create more videos in the near future ❤️
Loving your coiled twa...I'm just starting out again. It has been a month now since cutting out my relaxer...I'm tryna be patient. Thanks for sharing the vid 👍
I am so inspired by your twa finger coils. I have super 4C hair like you. However, whenever I attempt the same look, I just get coils sitting on top of a bed of bushy frizz! No matter the products or technique, it just ends up looking like worms on top of frizz. Would you please advise me on how to get your perfect root-to-tip coils? I’m starting to loose hope a little bit... Thanks for any advice.
Truly a great video & gorgeous results. Wish I had seen it earlier. I've never seen that brush method, and I'm wondering if any other type of brush will work. My hair is a little longer than yours, but I am going to follow your process. I have never gotten definition in any style I've tried, but I've only been transitioning since the first of the year.
As many have already stated, love your hair, make up, etc! Thanks so much for sharing. But I don't know if you used a hard brush, medium, etc. I hope my hair comes out as nice as yours.
You can also use a bath sponge with the holes or a regular sponge and create the holes. I find that my hair curls faster with the sponge, as it seems it's too soft for the brush.
I cut my hair short for the first time ever in my life, and you are one of my inspirations. Your twa and coils inspired me to go for the cut, even though I have always been natural. So thank you for sharing. I have a question. My coils don't stay tight at the base...am I using the wrong coiling method, or the wrong gel (not enough hold?)
I have been wearing my hair in an amber rose type cut for 5 years now. I want to start growing my hair out to wear it like yours. I'll never go back to chemicals (well, maybe a little color) I am gray (although that might look good too). What should I do? I keep cutting it because it grows kind of wild. Thank you.
You can maybe try doing the ginger coils toward the front so that they fall over the thicker areas. Jamaican black castor oil helps with thinning hair. Just do a patch test go make sure you’re not allergic as it makes some people itch
5 years later and this video is still so helpful and beautiful. Thank you! ♥️
You’re welcome. I’m glad that you found my video to be helpful 🖤

Kimberley Peters Same here! I had mine chopped yesterday and woke up this morning feeling like...what the?! Now I feel like singing, lol. "You light up my liiife...you give me hooope to carry ooonnn..." X-D

Love your makeup and your coils. What lipstick brands are you using?
OMG!!! Been looking for a video like this.
Beautiful work😃
Im going to try the brush method n see if that will help..Dont know if my outcome is from perm still in hair or too soft...Love yours....thanks

Forget the brush part and just coil your hair in sections, starting from mid shaft.
+Deon Gillespie if you don't have a boar bristle brush, try using the palm of your hand. That works for me as well!
+Deon Gillespie you won't see true curl definition until you cut off the relaxed hair though
Beautiful. Love it!!
Thank you ! ❤️
Love it! How much time did this take to complete?
Gorgeous!
Coily MelB Thank you!
Beautifully done!
love the video..what other styles do you suggest..because my hair is shorter that yours..its literally a twa..lbvs
I love that hair!!!!
do you use a soft brush or a regular brush?
As many have already stated, love your hair, make up, etc! Thanks so much for sharing. But I don't know if you used a hard brush, medium, etc. I hope my hair comes out as nice as yours.
+B Jean my brush is pretty soft!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing!
f4evrgrtful Thank you so much and you're welcome!
Hi! I just did the BIG CHOP today! i love this look. how long did it take to do?
love your video! I'm 3 days in to my twa. what kind of brush are you using? it's a great head start on doing the coils. and thank you.
Thank you. It's a boars bristle brush
You can also use a bath sponge with the holes or a regular sponge and create the holes. I find that my hair curls faster with the sponge, as it seems it's too soft for the brush.
Love your hair how long did it take you? And do you do other people's hair? I'm just starting and I would love you to do my hair???
Hey do you use a hard or soft brush? I'm loving this style
I just did my big chop video ! I'm having mixed feelings 😩 but your hair is beautiful !
+Muliano 1994 thank you so much. The Big Chop can take a while to get used to. But just stick with it, you'll be fine!
Great tutorial! Although I'm so impatient I'd only do half of my head. lol
Naturalee-t Thank you. Go on and finish that other half then you won't have to touch it for a few weeks lol ;)
Very nice! Thanks for sharing
Beautiful!
The tightness depends on your hair texture and twisting method. A looser texture may not hold coils as tight.
How do you refresh your coils in the morning?
Grrr, Grrr Girl....you rock!
😘☺️
very pretty
This is really great!
Myleik Teele Thank you so much!
What kind of brush are you using and where can l locate one ? By the way l love your tutorial ❤️
Thank you so much. Everything is linked in the description box ❤️
Beautiful face and hair!! Does this make your hair tangle at all?
kay hamilton Thank you and no, not at all!
Looks great Love!!
***** Thanks Tiff!
You can also do comb coils...it's much quicker. I need to find someone on YT who does this as only our hairdressers I've seen doing it.
quicker only if you know how to keep the hair from snagging or locking
you did an awesome job!!! thank you soooo much! Be blessed! (:
I have been wearing my hair in an amber rose type cut for 5 years now. I want to start growing my hair out to wear it like yours. I'll never go back to chemicals (well, maybe a little color) I am gray (although that might look good too). What should I do? I keep cutting it because it grows kind of wild. Thank you.
I love the video! I am a beginner and am not sure what to do with my twa. What kind of bristles are you using in your brush?
Boar bristles brush
You are SO pretty. I missed the beginning of the video because YOU ARE so beautiful. Haha
Nothing more beautiful than a black sista!
j'ai réaliser cette coiffure et cela me va très .Beaucoup de mes amies on aimées et l'on réaliser.
After I wake up, should I lift the twist with an afro comb?
How do you have the patience to do all those coils is beyond me. Your hair is on fire! I think I am going to the shop to get mine done.😊
How can I disguise by thinning hair at the top and still do finger coils? What can I do make my hair thicker?
You can maybe try doing the ginger coils toward the front so that they fall over the thicker areas. Jamaican black castor oil helps with thinning hair. Just do a patch test go make sure you’re not allergic as it makes some people itch
@@GlamMzMore Thank you so much!🙏🏽
Beautiful!!!!!! I want to try this with my Hair. Luv Ya girrrlllll !!!!!!!make up beautiful too!!!!
How do you keep them looking neat and not frizzing up
Brandon Dickerson I just sleep with a satin bonnet at night
