Great stuff Douglas, some bonnie flounders there, they love mackerel bait and the salt firms the skin so the bait stays on the hook without that elastic wrapping milarky, that weed is a pain! Loads of wave action combined wae the haar adds life to the video, well done on the Turbit Conner they are beuties even small ones are such a privilage to hold in yer hand before it swims away. Good tae watch and nice tae see dad and loon haein quality time making memories 👍🎣🐟🐟 Thanks for sharing
@@kintakintyea thanks for your comments Gordon. It was a good day mate. The salted mackerel was brilliant, so easy to use, your right no need for elastic to wrap it up. I’ll no go shore fishing again without it. Aye the turbot is a braw fish regardless of its size.
Fantastic to see you out with the boy, Connor is a chip off the old block with the fishing by the looks of it mate! Didn't take him long to start winding the fish in. When I first put the video on and seen you were out on the beach I shouted through to my wife "DOUGLAS IS LOST, HE'S TAKEN A WRONG TURN SOMEWHERE"!!!🤣😂 Well done to the both of you, a lovely video to watch knowing Connor lives a fair way away . Brilliant. Well done, Gents 👏🎬
@@spartafishinguk Cheers Steven, that made me chuckle mate. We were through in the east visiting family. It made sense to give it a go and so glad we did, it always reminds me of the start of my sea fishing journey being on the beach, which gave me some much needed inspiration. As always bud thanks for watching and commenting mate.
@@tomjenkinson8958 Cheers Tom. it sure does. Apart from catching fish It also has many other advantages. You can prepare it in advance even pre cut it which makes it really convenient. It doesn’t deteriorate like fresh mackerel so no need to keep it cool cutting down on cool boxes etc and it stays on the hook better even without elastic.
Great seeing you on the beach. Very flat beach, I thought tide went out miles in Lincolnshire and Norfolk. Good to spend time with the lad quality time. Hard work to fish tide coming in with two rods I’d be knackered 🤣. All the best Dougie those mackerel videos have done 👍 keep on a troshin.
@@VernsSeaFishing Thanks Vernon, it was good to be back on the shore even better with my boy. It has given me an injection of enthusiasm being back sea fishing. Thanks for commenting mate, tight lines and fair winds👍🎣
Miss that with my boys, don't talk anymore, sad the vet lad accused me of forcing him do do things he didn't want to do like fishing, golfing, karate, boating, camping having fun all the things that I wasn't brought up with. Keep the good work up ma man.
@@jeffmurray6219 😂😂All the times I’ve fished this spot, I’ve only had one tiny turbot and Conner gets a bigger one on his first go but I was just glad he caught one. I would love Conner to be part of the channel but I’ve tried bribing him but he’s just not into it. However I have 3 grandsons itching to join me.
Turbot just look amazing, well done to Conner👍keep the video coming Douglas.

Fishing in the fog is great it keeps those secret little spots secret 😄😄

Certainly a day to be onshore rather than off! Connor seemed pretty natural at holding a rod, something must have rubbed off on him.

Perhaps the chap has eventually learned that exposing locations via social media channels can actually spoil the experience for himself ?
