What ive noticed now with modern producers trying to make a top 100 beatport hit is that there use fully digital DAW system to create there music and this can be felt when you listen to it. It lacks character. Its a bit too perfect sounding if that makes sense. It lack the full human element of machine to sound connection. This is why i relate with older music much more than the newer underground music. But there still are some that use the machines now and create amazing tracks.
