That Ferris is a nice machine. I like that feature with the suspension bars how it grabs the hills and adjusts to have all 4 wheels on the ground. Having the controls between the two bars I like better too as my JD's are like that. Would be great to have a mower meet and we all bring our favorite mowers. Great video!

Those control arms to the front axle are just that, and not torsion bars. They help keep the front axle vertical, so if and when the front pivot bolt (in the front center) wears, the axle will still be held in a vertical position. (I have had several of the lower end Ferris 700's and that was a weak point with them, with no control arms, the front axle would start "flopping" after a while, as that center pivot bolt wore down.
I had a IS 2100 52 in. Loved the mower,but it would clough up every time I cut tall wet grass. Brought a scag tigercat 2 and it goes through wet grass like it's nothing .
Concerning the Ferris ICD deck clogging in wet conditions, I would say no more so than any other popular mower brand. In fact Johnny Mow has said it does pretty good in the early morning wet conditions, compared to XMark. Blessings

the z2 with ridged frame is more matched to that v ride- just saying. that z3 has bigger motor and better trans axel setup to say nothing of the pivoting axel. and, and the front corners of the deck are hanging from the pivoting front axel so way less scalping as you transition over hills or valleys. not sure what a v ride costs but they are way proud of that z3x.

I have a 52 2020 scag v-ride...scag is top of the line Cadillac of all mowers....no other brand mower will ever eclipse the SCAG....sorry!! I’ve had scags all my life....no other brand is better!!! SCAG FOR LIFE!!!
the only thing they have on other mowers is the deck unfortunately they lack in every other way. I have thousands of hours on them and wish they had some of the features of the other brands.

It doesn't ride as good as the ferris did, but it does a better cut and like I said it does great in wet grass.

Agree on price, that V Ride almost had that Ferris and i am giving up 14 Horse. The Ferris is nice for sure. Love my Scags
